Seal Trapped In Big Cargo Net

- With an entanglement like this big net, there is absolutely no chance for the seal to hunt. he can barely move!
He is too slow to catch fish, and his body shows it. His ribs are sticking out, he is malnourished and weakened. Once the rescuers remove strain after strain of rope, they can see that even his ability to breath had been impacted. They feel his relief as his airwaves are opening up again. It's a very technical rescue, they have to cut through a lot of rope very close to his mouth, but the seal is an excellent patient, even when the zip pops open by accident. He gets rewarded with his freedom.
The rescuers are once again left behind wondering why somebody felt that it is okay to leave this piece of rubbish in the ocean. 🦭

Agreed! He got abducted by aliens in a narrowing dark thing, they sat on him and pokes and prodded, but soon all the stuff was gone and the aliens let him go free!

The seal is waiting for his chance to escape.
The poor seal! On the beach, unable to breathe, unable to eat, getting weaker and thinner...and then these concerned humans start chasing him... But it turns out it was his lucky day, which he seemed to realize with each snip of the raptors. Thank you for freeing him! 🦭🙏

They explained in another video that the reason the seal looks back is to make sure the predators/rescuers aren’t following. But it’s cute and sweet to think that he’s thanking them. Anthropomorphism at its best.

What a fantastic rescue! This poor young bull was quite calm, all things considered, and he Knew you were there to help, not harm. That Naude saw a tear from the seals eye speaks volumes.
There was so much net that it's no wonder he was skinny and struggled to not only move but to breathe easily.

This poor guy had so much weight he was dragging around, so lucky the team identified and captured him. I really love these long videos, it gives us a chance to see the teamwork involved. This also demonstrates why training with the team is so necessary to achieve the mindset to work so closely in tandem and to minimize the trauma on the seals. Longer videos also also means tougher cases. To the OCN team!!! 🥳 Love you all!!!🥰
