It's really satisfying to see Hughie and Butcher to stand up Homelander in same ring
it was Really satisfying to see homelander hold his own as well.
It's cool we got a resolution to the "Did they burn the cookies?!" Cliffhanger from the last video.
Soldier Boy was not at full power because he had just used his nuke power and was drained.
Hughie wasn’t bothered by Annie having powers and being a Supe….but more the fact that he’s not able to support or save her in a meaningful way. Like when Homelander was signing his cast and he was getting ready to stand up and Annie jumps in to “save the day”. Not blaming her for doing what she felt was right but stating the circumstance made Hughie felt undermined.
1. Not only was he drained, he was still rusty and recovering from being in a comatose state for 3 decades. SB hadnt gotten back to his former strength yet, when he does hes stronger than he was in this episode. We get to see what full strength SB looks like in episode 8, its far beyond this version of SB.
2. Homelander had the advantage of knowing everything about Soldier boys fighting style. While SB didnt know anything about Homelanders abilities.
@@kylemma33can’t forget to add that Homelander wasn’t ready for Hughie and Butcher to have powers tho, and it was a 3v1, and I doubt the nuke drained him, he did 2 nukes previously with zero effort, he wouldn’t be able to blow the house up if he was drained.

I like a story where you can see everyone's side of things, and where you understand why people do the things they do in those stories. This show is a perfect example of that. I understand everyone's motives, even though I might not agree with some of them.
Exactly, a friend saw me watching the finale and asked me who the bad guy was and I couldn't really give a definite answer

Yes ive been patiently waiting for your reaction to this episode ever since you started in on season 3. Its batshit insane but im impressed how the show is still able to keep advancing the plot during these moments. So its like the shock value has a point or something. Also Mollys laugh makes me laugh, I knew she'd have a good reaction to this episode.

I don't see Homelander as a coward for running from that inevitability of being able to be restrained while he's destroyed. He's a coward for plenty of other reasons, but not that. That was survival.
For sure, but he always talks about how he is the most powerful ever and everyone else is “mud people”. Maybe if he didn’t hype himself up so much I would cut him some slack 😂

Soldier boy's body is made up of 80%V while homelander is made up of 100%V.
The fact that he took on butcher and soldier alone and held his own pretty well until hughie intervened really shows how much powerful he is.

6:40 tbf they did show a lot of Super Friends reruns on Cartooon Network in the late 90s and early 00s. At least that's how i saw the show lol

I read the comics and I say that the show is more worse
It’s honestly kind of hilarious the way the cast kept building up Herogasm as this insane, overly sex based episode when the actual big shock was the best superhero fight of 2022.
I don’t know whether that was deliberate or whether it just seemed way bigger on set and they cut down on it hugely for the episode, but it made for a very interesting marketing campaign nonetheless as what they technically promised never really transpired but we got something even better and more unexpected instead.

The Herogasm in the comics is way more graphic apparently. Also that fight vs Homelander was the best moment of the show so far.

The eye beam duel goes back way further than any of those examples ladies. At lest as far as superman 2 in 1980.
It was shock value in the comics, but putting this MUCH toned down version into the show feels weirdly authentic haha
When you finish, you should watch Arcane. Amazing story! Huge crowd favorite.
I think at this point in the show you can safely assume that Soldier Boy is closer to your really mean really racist old grandpa who if he had super powers might abuse that fact. BUT hes not outright malicious and psychopathic/sociopathic like Homelander. Like sure Soldier Boy might be out for himself and might even do some really despicable shit to do whats right for him, but Homelander would do the same shit just because he enjoys the pain he causes others by doing so.
In the end I think Soldier Boy is still a pretty bad guy, but standing next to Homelander he really doesn't seem all that terrible by comparison in my opinion.
Wait for the finale then,you'll realise why homelander is like that.
Something that I like about this show is that they keep the shock value the same if not a little more each season whereas other shows that have highly graphic scenes get tame as they advance each season like for instance GOT which started out very risque and highly adult in matter then when they sucked in the audience closer to the end of the series they got a little tamer in some areas it is like they use the shock to draw viewers in then they are like "okay, gotcha, now you're hooked".
But with The Boys it's like "wait til you see what's coming next".
So are you girls going to be watching the Spin Off "Gen-V"? College aged Supes in training.
A large part of that was due to the leads being able to renegotiate their contracts as the show got more successful. Emilia Clarke got a straight up 'no nudity' clause after season 4 I think. Most nudity or risqué stuff was then moved over to side characters and extras.
Im not against nudity or adult scenes and I think they often have a point (so many think they totally pointless) But I think that hook trick worked in GoT though because early on there was so much political maneuvering and games being played it felt like a natural part of that world. But as the real threat of winter coming and white walkers things got more serious and extraneous stuff like nude scenes were pared down. IDK it felt like natural progression of the show and I think it just worked.

For an anime recommendation that is a bit more lighthearted with some good action and comedy, I'd really recommend "That time I was reincarnated as a slime."
Attack on titan and demon slayer are both really popular as well. If you are looking for a new one that is coming out that seems to do really well with views I would recommend Hell's Paradise.
I hope you will react to the teaser for Gen V (The Boys spinoff) once you've finished this season.
