Homelander fights pretty good for a guy who has never had to break a sweat. And this was their chance they'll never get another one.
Don’t forget that MM said that there were non-supe sex workers in the Herogasm party too, Annie (and MM) were justified in being sincerely concerned about the innocents affected by the collateral damage of the Homelander and Soldier Boy conflict.
You know what everybody keep on forgetting that Starlight Killed a innocent person and said that she felt nothing about that. No I know that Soldier Boy and homelander are evil because they don't care about anybody, I am just pointing out the hypocrite of Starlight, and I know there's a lot of argument to defend our actions but the point still remain she did take a life and she didn't feel anything about it that was her own words.
@@spiritofloveipi4804 The difference is that Starlight killed that guy by accident, and it’s not like she was gleeful about “feeling nothing” and still regretted overall that she killed somebody innocent accidentally.
That js significantly different than Starlight caring about innocent sex workers being caught in the crossfire of Homelander and Soldier Boy’s fight, people that she and MM have the opportunity to aide, that doesn’t make Starlight hypocritical for caring about saving them in this episode.
Furthermore Starlight in season 3 has developed since season 2, and has stated she has grown tired of the “at all costs” mentality.

Which for Starlight does make a big difference (and in general murder vs manslaughter is a big difference both legal criminality and ethically), and the context of her character, her having accidentally killed an innocent person while still caring about saving innocents does not make her a hypocrite.

You can learn to *throw hands* through osmosis and watching TV and such, Homie probably watched a lot of boxing or even hosted/refed a few fights for Vought special events, but to _fight_ fight, yeah he wasn't doing _the best he could_ with all his abilities. He was still too cocky, didn't really use his flight or speed advantage, and the one time he _did_ fly, well I guess he's never seen The Incredibles! 🥴

There is also the fact that Annie is not that strong, she got beat by A-Train, almost got killed by Noir and she think she can win against the Hero of Heroes who is supposed to be able to kill Homelander

also hughie and starlight are both in the wrong, cuz starlight should doesn't see hughies' POV, it didn't bother him before but now that they are fighting and risking their lives all the time feeling powerless WILL get to you no matter who you are, and because she has always been powerful she can't understand how intoxicating and addicting power can be, but Hughie was also being a dick and always wanted to complain after feeling frustrated even though Annie has been there for him most of the time.

16:16 I do believe that Homelander has Dissociative Identity Disorder, his dialogue "When we were kids, alone in the bad room, i got us through it" implied it very heavily. And we know by season 1 flashbacks how isolated he was. Another clue in season 2 is when he killed Doppelganger because he was projecting his other alter that he describes as "still human".
If you haven't watch The Boys: Diabolical, i recommend you to check it out, there's an episode that explains his relationship with Noir and his first days but also there are another clue about his DID.

Starlight acts like hughie having powers is a bad thing, he can finally fight back against other people with powers. It’s an equalizer.
One great thing not a lot of people notice is the end credit music. For the FIRST time it sounds like something out of a superhero movie. Like Annie speaking out against Vought was the first truly heroic act of a hero in the show.

I did a break down of this fight and Homelander absolutely won that fight. If you watch the fight like it was four separate fights. Homlander vs Butcher, Homelander vs Soldier Boy, Homelander vs Butcher and Soldier Boy, and Homelander vs Butcher, Soldier Boy, and Hughie, which is the loss Homelander has. Homlander vs Butcher, Homalander takes the win. He straight up knocks out Butcher for one minute with the initial laser vision.When they did fight Homelander took no damage but you can actually see his mouth bleeding. When they were having their laser beam struggle, Butcher was clearly trying harder than Homalnder. In an solo fight, Butcher loses. Homelander vs Soldier Boy, Homelander also takes the name. He takes some hits because Soldier Boy combat skill is much better but Homelander, is faster, stronger, and more durable. He straight up chokes up and had to be rescued by Butcher. Even when Butcher saved him he only recovered during laser struggle, it took over a whole minute to recover. When he was fighting alongside Butcher he gets knocked out for a solid minute again right before Butcher got choked out and then had to be saved by Hughie. Which shows that Soldier Boy and Butcher still loses against Homelander. Only when Hughie showed up did the fight get bad for Homelander. And even then, with three supes and one of them being Soldier Boy, Homelander still knocked all THREE of them back with a shoulder nudge. Honestly, Homelander can just pick them up one by one and fly them into space. Easy clap. For anyone that thinks Homelander cant survive in space. When Edgar talks to Homelander about the view from the tower Homalnder says "You should see it from space" which means he cab at the very least survive in high altitude on the edge of the atmosphere.

Hughie/Yusa is mad at A-Train/Mao for actually changing for the good and Hughie/Yusa loose their raison d'etre for their hate towards A-Train/Mao. They're are mad that they can't be mad at this person that ruin their lives and all this time pursuing them is now a waste.

Dude, I swear, I recorded a clip of guy on the right popping off on something super intellectual in an older video (I forget exactly what it was, it was in the discussion after the episode.) and then I recorded a clip of the sons from Me, Myself, and Irene and sent it to a friend of mine because he has always reminded me of Anthony Anderson's character in that movie. How fucking funny that you brought that up.
I wasn't going to mention it because I always worry that it's going to come off offensively when you compare someone to a character unless they're blatantly handsome and slanging dick or something, and especially if a white guy compares a black person to a character who also happens to be black, in a lot of cases it's coming from ignorance, like an old white man calling a young black dude _Shaft,_ when he has nothing in common with him and probably doesn't get the reference.
In this case, I think the first thing that jumped out at me was his laugh when he was really howling at something. Then he just throws words around, not that I don't know, but that I hear so rarely that I wouldn't even think to use them in casual conversation. Like, did he put down a thick ass book just before filming started? One specific scene from that movie that always pops into my head - I think they're in a helicopter? If Starlight was on board, they may have actually got to kill Homelander right there and then. As well as have a completely exhausted Soldier boy right there for MM to get his revenge.
Correction a Team lost against him, Homelander won the fight fair and square and fought just as a god did (without help from other people), he only used his flight powers when he knew at some point (SOLDIER BOY) would defeat him
