- Despite being on vacation, I found some free time and put together this video (which I could only do because I had the screen recordings PRE-RECORDED) and luckily I found some apots where I could get some WiFi 🙂 I'm happy that we have now covered the four new (main) emotions (Nostalgia unfortunately didn't get enough screen time for me to make a full vid on her) and now I can rest... for like one day because I'll be back making videos on Monday oop-
There are still characters to cover from this movie, and I will get around to them, but maybe first I might throw out a few different characters from different movies just to mix it up a little. I should really get around to watching the movies you have all suggested.... like Road To El Dorado, Treasure Planet, Book Of Life and all that good stuff

Fear low-key simping for Anxiety was one of the best parts of the movie. Fear + Anxiety = Paranoia. A match made in Heaven to keep Riley in a downward spiral.
Also, Anxiety is THE most powerful emotion. She single-handedly ripped out Riley's sense of self and forged a new one with only memories she made. Then she made a whole damn anxiety tornado that could only be stopped by creating ANOTHER sense of self, not the old one Joy and the others made. Anxiety could rule this whole mindscape.

I can't tell ya how much I needed to see that scene of Joy telling Anxiety "you need to let her go" during the anxiety attack. It made me want to visualize my own sense of Joy saying that to my Anxiety.

The fact that Anxiety is so easily able to take over Riley's mind, and that she persists for what feels like _forever,_ is so accurate. In my case, she often pops up when she thinks I did something wrong, whether I actually did or not, and keeps going for _a while._

It’s kind of crazy how Anxiety is the antagonist of the story, yet charming and lovable enough to function as a secondary protagonist.
You want to see Joy and gang get the old Riley back, but at the same time you can’t help but sympathize with the panicked mess of an emotion and want to see her be happy in the end too.

I truly fell in love with this orange queen. I was afraid she will be used only for comical purposes, but to my surprise she appeared to be very well written, like she's not annoying despite her quirky behavior. She's smart and organized, and she appeared to be Joy's competitor, which was a great plot decision, 'cause in the end it helped Joy to realise her own mistakes. They both want to change Riley in their own way, but unintentionally. It's amazing that Anxiety wasn't a villain, she actually cared for Riley as much as the others do

Also, regarding the panic attack scene in the movie, Pixar nailed it with that panic attack. Many recent animated films like Finding Dory, Paw Patrol: The Movie, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Spider Within: A Spiderverse Story have nailed it with panic attacks in animation so far. That scene really hit hard because I know how bad panic attacks feel.
Maya’s so talented as an actress in general. She managed to convey her in multiple villainous, confusing, yet hilarious ways!

As someone who has been living with anxiety for over 11 years now, the moment where the "new riley" said "I'm not good enough" hit SO hard. The whole panic attack scene was so accurate and well done. And when they emotionals hugged rileys sense of self, and she wanted to be happy, i cried in the movie theater.
