    Will y'all consider having a market shopping episode where we see how your father picks out fresh produce? Would love to learn from him. Especially in the selection of meat!

      That would be great! Our Asian market here is enormous with loads of different choices. It'd be easier to go by sight because I can only read english.Thank goodness for the English speakers that work there, otherwise I'd never get done shopping.

      nothing says generous quite like making "recipes" specifically for monetization via TH-cam and Patreon. I use "recipe" in quotations because anybody could make this dish. Apparently I'm a master Chinese chef because I was making this without knowing it. But hey shoutout to the TH-cam algorithm for inundating me with this selfish greed

    Greetings from Guangdong. I am so happy for Daddy Lau and Mommy Lau. I can imagine how tough their lives were when they first arrived in the US but lives are getting so much better. When I heard Daddy Lau calling you "son", I can so relate to my father. The love of Chinese pareat to their kids is so profound and reserved. I hope they will always be healthy and happy.     Not sure about anyone else, but I’d LOVE to see a “what we eat in a week” type video. You could even compare what your parents eat in a week vs your family (if you wanted to).

    I search barred bok choy. I paged down through the recipes and saw poppa Lau. I immediately selected this video because I knew the recipe would taste delicious and easy for me to follow. He reminds me of my Baba. I also love hearing him speak as it brings me back to my childhood. Makes me miss my parents. You’re so smart to film him and learn (and share!) his knowledge.     What a beautiful family, and a really good intro, grandma was really cute with her grandchild, and Grandpa does an excellent job explaining with detail and care about prepping the bok choy, and your narration is good, also like the zoom in picture of the oil rippling, also your wife is a good interviewer

    I really love this channel. I grew up outside of Oakland Chinatown and since moving to Sweden I have really missed hearing Cantonese and your Dad's recipies just bring back so many memories as well as they are really good. keep up the good work

    Love love love all of the recipes! Does Daddy Lau know of a recipe for crystal clear veggie dumpling? I once knew someone who made a dumpling that the skin was so soft and the next day it was still soft.

    I bought some bok choy a few years ago at the grocery store put it in water till I had roots then planted outside grew to seed and been planting and eating it since. So good. And thanks for the tips

    Love pak choi but I used to put salt in the very beginning and became very watery. Now I learned from Dad Lau, thanks a lot. Love your channel. 👏❤️
