I'm 45 so this was a good 34 years ago that we wrote them and I remember getting mine :) I thought I would live in Florida and drive a purple Lexus and have 2 kids and be a teacher hahahahhhahahaha..... I own a Honda Civic, did raise 2 boys and sell Industrial supplies ............... life is finicky :)
At 17 (class of '90... I'm so old) I'd tell myself that it was never your fault, let it go before it breaks you more. And in a year, when you feel like you can't go anymore, don't do that thing. It hurts and it doesn't work anyway.
Enjoy the minutes between trying to run and go and do; and relax. One day pain will become your entire world and there won't be anymore painless moments to enjoy and no more running and going and doing either.
And, this is important, on new years eve, 2007, just stay at work. If you must go out, don't trust the truckdriver at the bar. That's one bit of damage that you can avoid. It will save you a scary night that creates the need for a horrible decision that will give you nightmares and regret for the rest of your life. And if you can't avoid that night, just remember, it's not your fault.
Oh, and beware dating a guy from New York. That one's made of red flags and no. At least don't take 3 freaking years to leave the abuse.
And you are going to have a failed marriage, but don't avoid it because it creates the most amazing human being in the world. Your son is going to be what makes everything worth it. And you'll eventually meet an amazing guy who thinks that you're beautiful and loves you even when you can't love yourself. 10+ years now and still here.

I had a couple of teachers, But the most important teacher in my life was my eighth grade history teacher. I already loved history, But she was the first one to say, It doesn't matter what grade you're in you can always learn more. If you want to read a twelfth grade book on whatever subject of history go for it.

This is so true you feel like your heart is breaking and what is so sad is how many young people that has taken their life and committed suicide because of a breakup, and if they would have just gave their self 30 days or 2 weeks they would see that something better was out there for them. And they would still be here that's what breaks my heart more.💔
