I like how weird Darcy moves. The Core hasn't had a body for centuries, and never before a human one. It makes total sense that it wouldn't know how to move it properly.
Marcy was a perfect choice on the Core's part. Marcy really suffered a lot and didn't deserve it, but tactically she proved useful as a vessel cause she would cause moral complications as if they killed Darcy, Marcy would die in the process.
That’s because the core wiped her memory I bet after returning home and seeing the destruction she inadvertently caused she would filled with guilt and self loathing for all the deaths in frogvasion all because of her selfishness
I like how even though King Andrias is supposed to be the main villain of Amphibia and wanted to use Marcy as the Core's human puppet, he actually had a soft spot for her and even showed signs of regret the more we saw with him and Darcy.

I get that but with characters like Darcy it’s a very hard balance, they wanted to make her seem powerful but you can’t have that if they are constantly losing to the heroes, so you either need to find a complicated way for them to have an excuse or a reason why the heroes keep winning where you still make the villain scary or do what this and most other shoes do where you have them off to the side, not encountering our heroes until the end or a few other big moments

I definitely know how Marcy felt with that helmet lowered on her head. There once was a very scary attraction at Disney, it was Stitch’s Great Escape. There are many things think are done expertly about Darcy. (Quick note I use they/them for Darcy, just so you arent confused about who I am talking about) First, if you put yourself in Marcy's place, the absolute horror she was feeling as the helmet slowly lowered towards is insane. And that scream was so raw i am still suprised by how sick it made me feel. Honestly that entire scene of her being trapped and then slowly possessed was terrifying, and i am still shoked they were able to put that in a "kid" show. Second, the way they move is creepy and so fun to watch. It is especially entertaining when the animation gets good. Their voi e also adds to the chill fzctor, and their design is sooo well thought out and interesting. Third, and quite possibly my favorite thing, they are not an ordinary villain. Most villains do that infuriating "hesitate" thing for plot convience. Not only does Darcy not do that, but they are so ruthless they strike instantly. They only stop to cackle or taunt their prey, and then go right back to their unwavering murder. They lack empathy, anc not only are their instaht strikes refreshing, but just straight up terrifying. With all of their intelligence, cockiness, and raw power, it would seem that tuey should be immortal. And yet we still know they can be out fought, and even on a rare occasion outwitted. It’s all so cool to see their voices deepen and become more of an echo when mentioning themselves. This is so cool, and gotta give the writers, voice actor, and everyone a hand for that.
I love Marcy, but Darcy was deliciously evil. Maybe in another show, there will be a tough antihero in the mold of an asian warrior with DARCY in mind. By anti hero i refer to a here with mean streak. Maybe a good guy with a sociopath streak (James Bond?) but an uber confident heroine that is a tour de force against the bad guys. Think Revy from The Black Lagoon, that gal was so bad to the bone, I loved her. The term bad ass comes to mind.
Haley Tju deserves so much credit for being able to deliver such a thoroughly evil performance through the voice of probably one of the nicest characters in the show
They don't even have like 10minutes of screen time, and somehow managed to be my favourite character, and the only thing I actually found interesting in the entire show. Now that's a good villain
You need to redo this with all of the core scenes that’s right The big machinery body at the end of Marcy’s temple, king Aldrich, the moon, the helmet after Darcy’s supposed death in all in, everything!
correction: Darcy was what the core called themselves when they were possessing Marcy but all the things you mentioned-the moon, the helmet after darcy "died", Darcy didn't exist yet, or at least, the core wasn't possessing Marcy anymore so they didn't need to be called darcy, simply because there was no darcy anymore The core didn't do anything after Marcy got the helmet put on because its power transferred to the helmet and the suit, essentially creating Darcy
Anyone else find it mildly disturbing that one of the first things they needed to do with Darcy was "Purge exess data" which inclided her memories and all that, and yet Aldric is seemingly still in there, with all of his memories and personality?
I think I am in love with Darcy. She is really true villain in Amphibia. And she looks so good, even if she is really dark and cold with scary weapon. I like her moves in episode ,,All in" and her design. But one thing is known: she's evil and connect with evil Core, not gonna lie.
Idk if I already said this, but I think the person who created apple worked with some ppl at Disney and added references All the references I remember are 2 Which is Cars 3 (somewhere in the movie idk when, I just remember it) And Darcy booting up
"Why son... I think I'm almost proud of you." OOOH that hits hard. Tbh I was never a big Amphibia fan but I've started watching it recently and fell in love, Darcy is so cool and such a mood.
Imagine if, in a crossover with Gravity Falls, Amphibia and the Owl House, each of the show’s heroes reluctantly go against Phunter (Philip-Hunter), Bipper (Bill-Dipper), and Darcy in one epic battle.
The fast that darcy remarks how shitty our phone technology is but they haven’t even figured out how to store data without a connection is hilarious to me

If it wasn’t for plot armor I would of done the same thing
But the real problem is, none of you can be Darcy since they are not a single person.
The term bad ass comes to mind.
hero not a villain
I don't like Darcy all time
All those supposedly brilliant minds, and none of them could figure out that they should’ve went wireless I guess that’s the lesson in this😂😂😂
You can just see how darcy balances with the wire
Haley Tju deserves so much credit for being able to deliver such a thoroughly evil performance through the voice of probably one of the nicest characters in the show
2:08 Solar Charging Sound of Wall-E
I love how they added Blackpink halfway through a battle at near death lmao
They don't even have like 10minutes of screen time, and somehow managed to be my favourite character, and the only thing I actually found interesting in the entire show.
Now that's a good villain
Why did you unnecessarily use 2 words depicting feminine gender for a collection of souls?
@@CaptainvonDore They were the first words I thought of.
@@lvingd3ad ok. Thanks for editing.
0:09 9:10 same scream
Darcy is my favourite character in amphibia (marcy is close second)
But marcys possesion scene is straight up traumatizing
1:23: "Although we've inherited some of her quirks."
Me at 1:39: By that you mean all of them.
You need to redo this with all of the core scenes that’s right
The big machinery body at the end of Marcy’s temple, king Aldrich, the moon, the helmet after Darcy’s supposed death in all in, everything!
Darcy and the Core are different
@@edythebeast7087 no, they are the same
Notice how the core doesn’t do anything after the helmet goes onto marcy
correction: Darcy was what the core called themselves when they were possessing Marcy
but all the things you mentioned-the moon, the helmet after darcy "died", Darcy didn't exist yet, or at least, the core wasn't possessing Marcy anymore so they didn't need to be called darcy, simply because there was no darcy anymore
The core didn't do anything after Marcy got the helmet put on because its power transferred to the helmet and the suit, essentially creating Darcy
2:22 is freaking terrifying!
i LOVE this art style 😍

The most brilliant minds in amphibia:
Such a cool villain
It makes me happy that the amphibia fandom isnt dead ☺️
REAL‼️
@ChocoThe_Catlove ur luz pfp
9:04 when I eat ice cream too fast and get brain freeze
For some reason I'm not surprised Darcy plays real life Starcraft
Idk if I already said this, but I think the person who created apple worked with some ppl at Disney and added references
All the references I remember are 2
Which is Cars 3 (somewhere in the movie idk when, I just remember it)
And Darcy booting up
now thinking about it, The Core sounds like the villain from The Owl House
"Why son... I think I'm almost proud of you."
OOOH that hits hard.
Belos would never work with Bill Cipher.
Bipper
The first scene really screams “this is a kid show”
5:38 idk why, but this line is just satisfying to me
“Oh, isn’t it just grand 😩”
As one man said, all bad people need to win.
Some of my fav clips from this :D

9:21 Well It's the helmet of Darcy (The Core)
Honestly, I don’t know why but somehow it took Anne referring to Darcy as “this thing” to realize that the core is an abomination.
The fast that darcy remarks how shitty our phone technology is but they haven’t even figured out how to store data without a connection is hilarious to me
Darcy: They Want grim and Gritty..huh? Happily to Play the Part.
Lex Luthor fused with Brianiac from Justice League Unlimited would have been a good opponent of Darcy.

anyone else questioning how Darcy doesn't constantly change personalities? i mean its multiple people in the core, i would expect their personalities to constantly change
Marcy’s body and most recent assimilation?
This is infinitely better than the entire megamind thing thats out now
