@@joerobot32 I recently got one myself so I know - it's an amazing pedal! I love how I can dial in the different mid frequencies depending on which bass and amp I'm playing. There's a different sweet spot for different combinations! Question: What do you think of the Bright switch? I haven't been able to find a use for that yet. It's kinda bassy and boomy. If I soloed above, say, the seventh fret, I could see using it, but under "normal" circumstances to boost my volume or tone a bit, it hasn't worked. I guess it's meant for distinct solo parts.
I’ve spent more time with this pedal and it’s truly magical. I find that I need to tweak the settings depending on what amp I’m using - that’s a good thing - and it’s a very versatile pedal to bring out great tones with a variety of amps. I have learned to love the ultra high switch in the on position, tweaking the treble knob to dial in cool, punchy sounds that cut through. I still don’t find much use, if any, for the boost switch. (Not the ultra switches, the lower right boost switch.) Do you use the boost switch?
Sounds great! Thanks for the demo. I've been using a Sansamp VT Bass rackmount for years but it can be finicky to dial in. Almost too much flexibility. And it's lacking some of that 800hz midrange this pedal seems to have in spades.
What a great sounding pedal.Really cops the SVT grunt and grind.Would loved this back in my heavy gigging days.Using an Ampeg 8x10 do you get the punch to the chest the original SVTs delivered?
Plenty. The Bass control has plenty of bottom, as I said in the video. 12' oclock on the Bass control is plenty of bottom end for me, but you could dial in more of its not rumbling your chest. The Mids are cutting. I used a VT Bass for Ampeg tones for about 10 years. Now I use this.
@@joerobot32 How are noise levels? My plan would be to run this first in the chain, cleanish/very edge of breakup, a few db above unity to drive everything behind it. Is there much hiss/hum?
Fuzz sounds great alone as well
Thank you for making one of the only review videos of this pedal out there!
No problem, the video doesnt do justice to how huge this sounds

@@RichardReneeRachel i use the ultra high pretty much all the time. The ultra low havent found much use for.

@@RichardReneeRachel ah, that switch. Forgot about that. I guess that answers your question!
The P bass just kills through this.. Thanks mate..

After comparing the two, the VT Bass is much better at the B-15 vibe, the Super 300, the SVT vibe.
@@joerobot32 thanks! I just ordered a Super 300

@@joerobot32 It fuckin rocks!

Can this drive a power amp?
I would imagine so. Been using mine through an effects loop on the quilter, dont see why a power amp wouldnt work.
