My best friend and I used to go to warped tour every year for these guys. We bought tickets for CT and NJ just to see them in the same week. When they would play near home we were there. We spoke to Joel at a couple shows and expressed how much the band meant to us. She passed this year and I can't imagine seeing this band without her. Music brought us and music will hold us close forever. So much love for BAOO 🤟🏽🖤
The more i listen to this the more i realize the genius of it. I love how they refuse to be pigeonholed when it comes to genre. And i love how they do the little interludes/intros between songs. Sets the the mood perfectly.
@@warbossgrimtoof569 pretty sure the Dear G-d 10 year tour had been announced 6 months ago but if not you’re in luck (depending where you live) it is happening/has happened
Watching this set just now was so healing to me. I've been feeling so fucking lonely and hopeless lately but this band makes me feel like it's going to be ok.
This band has changed but always have only one thing that matters in the music and that's love. After seeing them live in a small venue I was truly touched and moved by them. And this recording is so close to being there again. Thank you BAAO and audiotree
The best thing about this show was the fact they played like they were in front of thousands. First time hearing this and I'm hooked. Thank you Audiotree Live!
Still come back to this all the time. One of my favourite Audio Tree sessions. Up there with Oathbreaker, meth., Gillian Carter, Cult Leader and Counterparts. The drums man. really make it for me... I have not checked out their new stuff. Dear G-D and HWBWP are top tier albums. I got to see them live when HWBWP just came out and it was such an experience.
I discovered this band because of Connor and Aaron Gilespie. But i must say that im really impressed by those songs and that guitar player voice. He sounds like a Dallas Green young brother.

This is the greatest thing I've ever seen. Literally kinda dying! Good tho. Good work. Unreal band, seriously I've been very slight with them too. But this full form. Outstanding.

@doesanyofthismatter right off the bat the drums are great (to say the least) I appreciate that he keeps his high hats tight. I'll probably watch it. Oh and by the way, Dear D-g, is in the key of A phlatt. And Mediocre Shakespeare is in C sharp no?
As much as I like these guys, I would've loved to hear him sing "The hardest part..." - Because every live recording of that song makes it seem like he can't sing.
I keep coming back all these years later
Dude! same!
yeah xD

That is a gnarly bass tone. Love it!
For sure. Carried the whole sound all the way throug
That drummer is an absolute madman
the drummer is so fucking good!!
This band is still so underrated imo. They're sick!

27:05 Priceless drummer headbang. I get more excited about this song every time I see him
i used to listen baao everyday one of the best melodic hardcore bands out there Dear G-d is a masterpiece
The more i listen to this the more i realize the genius of it. I love how they refuse to be pigeonholed when it comes to genre. And i love how they do the little interludes/intros between songs. Sets the the mood perfectly.
The drummer is a freaking monster.
Connor Denis
Fucking beast
i remember watching his drum lessons with aaron gillespie on youtube back in the day
He tight for sure
Yeah, but need a double pedal.
I come back to watch everytime I'm low and just need to feel. I'd honestly would sell everything I have to see this set live.
I can never express how much I would sacrifice in my life to see them play Dear G-d live in its entirety. That album is life in music to me.

My Gosh, recording is outstanding. Nice job Audiotree and Being as an Ocean!
The fact that it's shot in black and white really adds to the band's tone.
I love it at 15:41 when the drummer looks at the guitar dude like: - you fool! you almost ruined it
and the dude smiles and is like: yeah i know hihi.
You can tell they got good chemistry because they recovered from that so well 😆
At the first song Connor almost starts early 😅
they were really good at warped for a 30 min felt like an hour. Such passion and emotion I really loved it.
I saw this the first time about 3 days ago, and have since had it constantly going. Background, foreground, middle ground.
It's all being as an Ocean
geez I miss this era of being as an ocean
Yeah miss that too
thank fuck we have this awesome video to celebrate it
This band makes me feel like I’m not alone. Not in a selfish, self indulgent way… more that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
You're never too late when it comes to finding something this freaking bad ass! 🤘🏻
Watch this at least once a month, can’t get enough
Just discovered these guys and I am blown away! Absolutely fantastic
Still in love with this session
The best thing about this show was the fact they played like they were in front of thousands. First time hearing this and I'm hooked. Thank you Audiotree Live!
That bass is crunchy. Sounds sick.
audiotree need to get this sess on spotify for real : )

Everybody talking about how good the drummer is, and he absolutely 110% is, but can I just say how awesome this entire band was?
The black and white fits this so perfectly
BAAO is one of the few bands that sound just as good if not better live when compared to studio recordings 👌👌
Depends on if Joel is running around a stage or not otherwise I love everything they do
These Guys are so incredible , the first band outts this genre ive seen live....such a blast
If i could like this a thousand times i would. Fucking amazing.
AudioTree NEVER disapoints, i ve listened to Soja, Chon and many others in this channel. Awesome recording of those artists
That simple drum beat at 21:00 is massive. 👏
I am going to buy an album. This is so damn good.
Seen them live four times, every show is amazing, they give it their all.
One of the best albums
That drummer has such obvious passion for drumming, its fuckin rad
Aaron from Underoath taught Connor how to drum, no wonder he's a beast. Learned from one of the best.
Kevin Pena Didn't know that. Now it makes sense why he's so nasty
that explains SO FUCKING MUCH!
Sheeit
saw these guys live in Fresno ~10 years ago and was blown away.
cant wait to see them in November
I too
Saw them last week, they put on the best performance out of any of the bands, It was awesome
20:41
Band: Slow song starts
Drummer: Rocks the hell out
really good show and good interview. cheers from Argentina
miss when they sounded like this
get Circle Takes the Square in for a session!!
I agree
I discovered this band because of Connor and Aaron Gilespie.
But i must say that im really impressed by those songs and that guitar player voice.
He sounds like a Dallas Green young brother.
And he’s rocking the capsize shirt you can definitely hear the influence
The only thing wrong with this is, I can't wrap myself and inbrace it enough!
Words just cant explain.
Backup singer has a great voice
God, I am in love with this! 🎶😌💓
is it just me or is the bass line at 1:52 just wrong? :D
anyways! i love this band so much
it was very strange right?
this is my first-time experience hearing these guys... I am in awe
its this and Bear Vs Shark I always come back to on Audiotree. PUP too, much love Audiotree
10:48 bruuuuh, that little hi-hat fill is ORGASMIC
i couldnt agree more, very nice. Well tought to contrast to the other very busy fills in the song
Thank you Audiotree! Great new find!
Kratos, is that you?
BOI, he is!
He's not an actor but I think he should play Kratos if they ever make a God of War movie.
I love that band ♥♡♥
this is a masterpiece ♡
I really wish the guitarist would have an acoustic side project. His cleans are unreal.
He have a band they called Heart of Gold
also was in the elijah
Almost like city and collor right? Like Dallas Green
I miss this version of the band, I know how Cliche that sounds but it really Is a shame
Know them feels seen them almost 5 years ago now don't think it would be the same
I miss The Baao by 2011
This was so cool. Listened to this while on a hike :)
It was truly an honor playing with these guys at nickle city!
John Botelho dude you opened for them ?
27:32 Randy Marsh sings Being As An Ocean Karaoke
This drummer is a god damned beast. Like what the fuck.
WOW....!!! Cool and honest. Wish you good luck for your career! Love & peace on earth ...

The new singer (clean vocals) is an improvement for the band, they need this. And the drummer? oh please excellent... Keep this way guys!
Eu adorava demais BAAO.
Descobri ano passado. Uma penaaa 😢 esse set ao vivo ta absurdoooo
I really wish they re-unite.. Their music and lyrics was the best
can't wait to see them Wednesday ❤️
Reminds me of early Alexisonfire mixed with underoath, cool stuff. Wish it was heavier though
AMAZING!!!
Beautiful
drummer is going full beast mode.
awesome!!!
I'd love to see Oceans Ate Alaska playing here someday
God this band is too good. These lyrics hit me harder than a flying side kick from Chuck Norris
Me enamoré de esta mierda, cuándo vienen a México?
Lo mismo espero
They need to be back again here.
Amen
where is the setlist with time per song guy? :/

I have really enjoyed this. Thanks for the share.

If you want to get up close and personal with the band, Audiotree is the place.
anyone know any bands that sounds like being as an ocean but sing in french?
Lots of talk about the Connor the drummer--and rightly so--but the clean vocalist is pretty much my favorite in all of heavy music.
I have the same counterparts t-shirt as the fellow who introduces the band. Neat.
soy fan de being as an ocean!!!!!!!
oh yeah yeah!
Why can’t this be available on Spotify?
