- Here are my Enkei RPF1 rims in 17x8.0 +35 offset on my 2008 Civic Si Coupe. The rims are only 16lbs compared to the stock rims at 23lbs. Great weight savings. People tell me that the RPF1s are overplayed, but I disagree. The RPF1 will never be overplayed. It's design is timeless.
Yes they are 17's. I said it wrong in the video.
This is a nice video. Thanks for taking time to upload and share information. Very informative.
I have had no rubbing problems. My stock camber is non-adjustable. When I had my wheels aligned, my rear camber was -1.8 & -1.5 degrees in the rears and -0.5 and -0.1 in the fronts.
You should black out the front lower grill where the radiator/Front mount intercooler is located it looked awesome on your 370z.
I agree. I was hoping the rear drops more, but I think that's as far as it goes.
17x9 look better in my opinion because the 17x8 make you look like you have a +40 offset
What center cap did u use bro?
depends if you wanna be hellaflush (17x9) or hellafunctional (17x8). Plus with 17x9, you may have to roll your fenders.
Thanks TM I now have the front and rear springs installed. 225/40R18 with 18x8 +30 going on this weekend
thanks man. i ended up ordering the same as you. looking for function haha nothing crazy. can't wait to get them
I'll give it a try. Thanks.
which springs are you lowered on? I'm on Eibach ProKits so it doesn't lower too much which was why I can run 235/40 tires without any issues
TheTongMan do u think it be possible to run 17/8.0x 35 offset rims on 235/40/17 tires on the eiback sportline springs on the koni yellow strut and shocks without any rubs and issues???
With sportlines, you may need to do some fender work if you run 235/40 plus you may need a camber kit for the fronts.
Very clean!👌
Love it man have the same rims for my Si but mine is lower on eibachs sportlines wondering what tire to
You have 17x8 with a 35 offset and it doesnt rub?
I was looking into 215/50r17 tires but now I this convinced me otherwise, thanks Big T 🤙🤞
it's 17x8.0 +35 offset
This looks sick man! Gonna get the same setup on my 09' fg2 but with the HFP suspension. Hopefully it'll come out looking similar.
With the hfp suspension, there will be more wheel gap
TheTongMan Just saw a picture on 8thcivic of fg2 w/ these rims on HFP suspenion. Gap didn't look too bad, perfect for DD... I'll probably get HFP and if i wanna go lower down the road I'll put the pro kit springs on it.
yep that's exactly what I did too..
Very nice wheels!
Enjoy them! Bet you can't wait for them to get delivered. I was constantly checking the tracking progress. LOL
Nice car bro sick rims
The front looks perfect, just need to drop the rear just a little bit to match. nice car man!
looks sick bro. my si is lowered on pro kit as well. going to get these. do you think i should get the 17x8 also or the 17x9s?
Suspension bro?
Can I use that same tire spec on my fa5? I’m on coilovers. Worried about rubbing.
I’m on 17x9 +30 mst wheels
Or which tire size would you recommend?
@@oscarjsm24 i would go with a 245/40 tire size, but with your lower offset, you may rub your fender
@@TheTongMan Time to roll them fenders I guess lol. Thank you. I’m on 215 right now :/
Hey man, glad you found my channel. Are you Eugene's bro?
This is a nice video. How did you install the stock Honda center caps on the front wheels? There's a thing a the center that's hitting the cap. Back wheels fits really good though. Thanks.
what suspension did you have on this one boss?
@@McDzy eibach pro kit springs
@@TheTongMan just the springs at the time? just stock suspension plus the eibach springs? any rubbing at the time?
@@McDzy no rubbing at all. Its only a slight drop.
@@TheTongMan would 2 inch drop from springs rub? haha
mann,, you the best btw! just wanted to say that. truly an inspiration to us/me 8th gen owners, especially 8th gen civics. debating whether to get 17x8 +35 or +45.. got an 06 civic si Rallye red coupe.. used to have fa5 07 Rallye red before it got wrecked =(
@@McDzy depends on what wheels and tires you go with on a 2” drop. 17x8, you’ll be fine.
what lug nuts do you have on here? looks great man
what do you think about 18x8 with a 35mm off set? would the rims be flush with the fender? I have stock suspension right now on my 07 si
TM, very nice! Are your tires rubbing at all and did you adjust camber? I have a very similar setup that I'll be going with in the next week or so.
KrazyKanuker
$940 shipped from LSD Motorsports
Dang i'm loving those! i thought you had hfp side skirts as well?
I had to buy the HFP lip kit and install it myself, it doesn't come like that.
it be pimpin brah !!
people the lower the offste # the more the rim sticks out not the other way around!
Go for? Do you rub?? Was thinking 235-40 or 215-45 I just installed the full rave cat back on mine btw sounds awesome I will make videos after winter
Hey how did you lower your rears? In the walkaround video of your SI it seems to be way less of a fender gap then in this video? I believe ur running the same setup too the pro kit springs!
No, I'm not low enough to do any fender work.
dope
Where did you buy your rpf1 ?
damn nice ride you got there... what kind of lug nuts of those? those are extended right? lol... what size are they? i got some blox one... width is 25 mm and thread is 12 x 1.5 but they don't fit fine... any ideas?
Clean bro! What size tires you running? I think Ibsen your car before on the 8thgencivic FB page. LOL
+TheTongMan what kind off of lug nuts are you using
I have an 07 civic coupe. If I buy a 17x8 with the same offset as urs i can run them with no spacers ? And a 235/45/17 will work no rub?
Hi there ! The 7 pound diference between stock rim and enkei made a difference? Do you feel it in acceleration or cornering ? Thanks a lot
So 17x8.0 +35 will make it look flush or do you need spacers ?
its already flush without spacers
What size tires do you have? Nice honda bra
Just to avoid the having the same wheels as thousands of other people i think im gonna get enkei raijins instead of the rpf1's
18x8..not 17x8?????..
1:12
Did you notice any difference in how the car felt after the rim swap? Nice choice btw!
No I'm not. I'm just one of their co workers.
if i get 18x 8.5 35mm would it be flush with my 09 si?
How you fit the oem center caps in the front?
what is the measurement of your car from the ground to the fender?
Did you have to fender roll these? if not, did you rub at all? Would you recommend the 17x8 +45s?
+Dean Baynon no fender roll was needed on my car. if you go with the +45 offset, you'll need spacers for the rear
I have a 2008 si sedan. Did you rub or bottom out at all with +35?
Also, I have the eibach pro kit.
i have one honda civic si sedan wat size of wheels recomended 17x9 or 17x8?
Same here
I know some si comes with those kits, but wat is da name?
did you put your HFP lips on or did it come that way ??
Any idea how these might fit on a 7th gen Celica?
Will this fitment work on the 2012 Honda Civic si coupe ( 9th Gen )?
yes
Thanks
Did you have a camber kit?
no. stock camber
I have a 2008 civic n i want those rims but idk wat the 35+ offset means
bboyz559 the higher the number the more pushed towards the suspension the wheel will be. the lower the number means the wheel will stick out further. the wider the wheel gets it typically comes with a lower offset so it will clear suspension parts but will stick further out the fender
anybody know the lug torque specs for these specific Wheels by chance?
Still Available 80ft-lbs
TheTongMan Thanks bro looked & looked and found nothing
That wheel look like it has a 43mm offset, , the 35mm is a deeper look
I wanted those too for my type s. but I wanted the concave ones. Lol clean tho. Good job. I like your set up too. I'm Fongs co worker. Haha do I know a little about your car.
Sexy. Rare to see the kit
what sz tires..????
I can only find these in +45 offset?
Due look at box and read,, Im sure that your rims are 17×7 with a 45mm offset, and you just told us your tire size, a 17in size tire.
Was your fenders rolled
no i didn't..too poor now to get them
there is no such thing as "street slicks" the tires have tread on them therefore not slick.
Those are 17" not 18"
Due those are 17s , not 18s
I seen**
Your tires are more expensive then the wheels lol im trying to go this route but im not balling like you man.
Go home Chevy, your drunk. Lexus is still a better commercial.
You said 18" rims and 17" tires lol
Veryflush but not hellaflush,
Did u roll ur fenders?
Where did you get your rims from and how much?
