Karl - thank you. Your review of the seat differences between RS6 and RS9 was the piece of info I needed to launch my order for the GT Omega Prime. Thanks! Great review.
Glad it was helpful!
My wife would cry like in Gone with the Wind saying: "When, when is it gonna be enough?"
Always say "just 1 more"
OMG! I’m dying right now from laughing so hard!! I just told my wife “just 1 more thing” 😂😂😂
It’ll never be enough lol
I was prepped and ready to order a much more expensive 80/20 rig a few weeks back when I randomly came across one of your videos on the Omega Prime. You saved me a few hundred dollars dude and and impressed with this thing!
It's decent isn't it! Can't go wrong for the money :)
Been scratching my head for a week looking for a decent well made cockpit, thanks to your well made review I’ve pre-ordered the PRIME Cockpit with a nice 10% off... Many thanks
Ah excellent, enjoy!
This was extremely helpful 2yrs later. Thank you!!
Thanks Karl for the great detailed review of this rig. I used your discount code when I bought this one, thanks again as always for another great review. :)
Hope you enjoy it!
Got mine on order with the xl seat. Can’t wait. Another great video Karl
I just bought this, and the PRIME10 code still worked at checkout! 😍.
The Titan price tag was $508
Whereas the Prime was $725 after the code. (European prices).
Chose to bite the bullet and get a premium rig, to upgrade my desk mounted whee setup.
Thank you Karl for the great reviews.
Yeah discount code is still active! Enjoy mate, BIG upgrade from a desk! :D
I bought my first rig from GT Omega and it served me very well, great company and I love the way they price their kit, I always recommend them to fellow sim racers, good to see them join the extrusion gang, more competition is good for all of us.
Couldn't agree more!
You sold this to me Karl, keep up the great content, looking forward to building it this weekend!
Excellent mate! It's my daily driver and holding up well, as any aly cockpit should! :)
TrackRacer TR80 (basicallyGT Omega Prime) or GT Omega Titan?
I can get both of these for basically the same price +/- $50… Which do you recommend owning both?
The TR80 uses smaller profile (almost half size), I would buy the Prime mate, Titan is tubular so not as adjustable but still very solid, there are discounted links for both in the description if you do go that way :)
I just want to thank you for your videos, they're very informative and you're great at explaining everything, which was helpful to me since I'm totally new to sim racing. I've just ordered this racing cockpit on your recommendation. I also used your discount code to get a better price 😉
Thanks for the kind words mate, enjoy your new rig! :D
You got me! Just ordered it. Thanks for the heads up video you made prior to this one, I almost pulled the trigger on a track racer TR80 the other day. That saved me enough to afford a killer rim for my new VRS pro DD. Now all I need is a mount for my triple monitors, I guess I will find that elsewhere.
GT Omega have standalone single and triple monitor mounts but their bespoke option to fit the Prime is coming in the new year mate.
I actually like the look of it now with the bare aluminum. Matches your carpet and the silver accents on the seat.
It does! :)
Ordered mine today with the bells and whistles Karl, used your code to save myself and nice 70 Quid. Cheers!
Awesome, thank you!
I thoroughly enjoyed your GT Omega content. I'm using your discount code to order one myself as my first sim rig. A couple of question though, is it easy to move around the room if I wanted to rearrange my area? And do they provide screws to mount your wheel to the base? I'm using the Logitech G923.
It will slide fairly easy but it is quite heavy.
Sorry mate I actually can't remember if it the retail unit comes with bolts for the wheel base.
Hi Karl Gosling, I have been into racing sims for quite some years now and recently I stumbled across your channel....One word....AMAZING. You have given me some great info in all your vids. Just too bad that I cannot afford any of the products as I live in South Africa and we need to import everything that I would like for my sim....So yeah the exchange rate to us makes it impossible to buy these items. But nonetheless thanks a bunch for all of these great vids and reviews. Keep doing great stuff.
Thanks mate! I'm sad everything is so pricey for you but what can we do?! :(
@@KarlGosling Yeah it is insane...I am just watching your review of the Quest 2 VR headset.....The cheapest we can get it here is at 648 pounds or in our currency R 13300.00 . It is just very pricey but that is just how it is. I will be following your channel very closely from now on.
Looks amazing, and such a great job you did. Too bad O-GT can't keep stock accessories like monitor mounts and such. You're doing too good a job!
Thanks again! Looking to move from a desk mount Logitech to one of these rigs. Also what are the 4 large speakers set up for in your room?
They are part of my 5.1 surround system.
@@KarlGosling Wow! I bet they sound fantastic!
Great review and certainly helpful in my decision making. Just ordered mine this afternoon, the one with the XL seat. Nice little discount using your link as well. Many thanks 👍
All helps mate! :)
Hey Karl, would you be able to confirm the lengths of profile used (just the frame)? I think it is 500mm for the shorter pieces and 1370mm for the long lengths. Just comparing it to the Trak Racer TR160. Thanks!
Yes mate I'll measure up in the morning.
Great review! Just put in my order for one of these along with a seat, this was the last thing I needed to see to make the decision! GT Omega is an absolute godsend when you live in Iceland and have to deal with sometimes extreme shipping rates and various fees. Absolutely can not wait to get it, put it all together and take it for a spin!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you so much for this fantastic video I just got the prime racing rig fantastic video 😀
No problem 👍
You are sure the black-plates are out of steel? You did the magnet-test? Even you looks strong, this pieces seems a bit light for steel in your hands and with this thickness I know aluminium doesn't flex at all. I'm using a 8 mm thick plate for the wheelplate and it's super sturdy, but fortunatly more easy to drill holes in it compare to some wood-plates. Also steel is actually more flexible than aluminium per weight, why racing bicycles out of steel usually provide a more comfortable ride due to the flex than similar bikes out of aluminium frames.
Hi Karl thanks for the video. I hope you are still responding to questions on this. Could you measure the space between the back of the pedal board and the front of the seat please? I need to know if I can slide a set of rudder pedals in there as I do flight sims too. Also what is the slide travel distance on the seat track please?
Hey Karl ,
Think I may have message a couple of years back on this ,
but gotta say EXCELLENT quality videos , presentation and clarity of information is exemplary. I watch loads of reviews , assembling videos , etc
Yours are some of ,if not the best I’ve seen of such things . Hope it goes strength to strength. Really excellent.
Liam Bewley, old school mate .
Thanks Liam that's very good of you to say mate! :)
The channel is a year old tomorrow so I'm happy with the progress so far, I'm still only using a phone as a camera and could do with some proper lighting for consistent image quality too but I'll get there!
Nothing is scripted, all just off the cuff so your comments on clarity and presentation mean a lot... I'm basically making it up as a go along! lol
Thanks again mate! :)
Yeah I basically knew it wasn’t scripted , too natural . Obviously you know your stuff , and then some . I had to pretend to present for some acting job years ago , I found it incredibly difficult.
Really impressive.
My Pleasure mate
Doing my best mate and thanks for the encouragement! :)
Maybe our old school Drama lessons have paid off?! lol
Love your reviews! Thanks for being in the community! Is this strong enough for a direct drive?
Yes, absolutely! :) Same as any other rig using this size aly profile.
I am very close to pulling the trigger on this setup with the RS9 seat, but theres very few reviews on the seat itself which has me hesitating purchase right now.. the chassis looks awesome and will last me for a lifetime it seems... would like to see the accessories come in soon as well! what is your honest thoughts on the Seat sir? good for long sessions?
I've not done much seat time as I've just been too busy this last month! But to me it feels just as comfortable as the RS6 seat I've had for years, some say it's a bit narrower (which it is vs the RS6) and can be uncomfortable but I haven't noticed.
O wow about u showed this to us! Damn I wish I didn’t have their other cockpit lol great video as always
You can't go wrong with a GT Omega rig i've had one 8 years and the seat has one tiny stitching stretch on the left due to the clutch action i guess
Thanks for the kind words! :)
Nice, I got my email from GT Omega today with this cockpit in it and I thought it was what you had hidden. I just bought an Extreme Sim Racing rig since GT Omega has nothing in stock for a while now.
nice review buddy, sold me on it, ordered one today, always had eyes for an aluminium profile rig and well... you sold it to me without me giving you the money so thanks. currently using a gt omega titan actually with a fanatec DD1 wheelbase and it has done a great job actually but it would get noisy and cry at me a bit if i put it to the test with higher FFB settings. im glad you pointed out it does come with some feet you just cant see them, that was my only concern as ill be using on wooden floor and i do need to move it around so hopefully the feet reduce the chance of scratches to floor or rig.
cheers, cant believe i missed this one.
I'm in the of moving all my gear over to it now so can't wait to get some real seat time in! :)
A DD1 is still a dream away for me but I'll get one one day! :)
@@KarlGosling the DD1 is great but if you have not tried one yet have a go first at the clubsport 2.5, i had one before the DD1 and it was very smooth and well made, i was so impressed in fact i sent it back inside the 2 week return period and got the DD1 and the feeling of having everything so immediate in your hands is lovely but you loose some of that silky smooth feeling you get from the belts, everything is kind of on the edge of your fingertips and frantic.
anyway, again thanks for the review, hope mine comes before xmas so can get it set up and have a whip.
Hey Karl, could you please help me out?
I'm planing on upgrading to this cockpit and move away from desk+wheel stand+office chair combo.
I don't have much room in the guest room and I was thinking of mounting a TV to the wall and keep the cockpit parallel to the wall/TV while not in use. When I'd use it, I would rotate it 90° and make it perpendicular to the wall/TV. The problem with this position is that there isn't much room left to walk past it (since the room is narrow/there's a wardrobe on the opposite wall where TV would be) so I'd have to rotate it back when done driving so the room is usable again.
I was wondering if you get the legs with it (I think there should be 6 of them) and is it easy to manipulate it (is it light enough) or would I need wheels, too?
I'm a bit bigger than you so moving it wouldn't be a physical problem to me, it's the wooden (parquet) floor so I'd prefer legs than the aluminum touching it. I hope it wouldn't scratch it.
So, basically, I'm asking is:
Do we get the legs with it, is it light enough to pivot and if there are legs, would it scratch the wooden floor or there's some protection on them.
I'd like to save those 85€ (or a bit less with your code :) ) if I can.
Thanks in advance
It does come with feet yes, but if you buy the castors it will be much easier to move.
Looking forward to seeing how you fit the motion platform & the monitor mount solution 👍
Me too mate! lol I've a plan for the motion platform and if a monitor mount isn't available from GTO soon I have a plan for that too! :)
Thanks for the great review! Used your KG code to purchase one today!!!
Ah enjoy mate! :D
thanks for the video and the heads up that this was coming out soon. Pre-ordered mine without the seat and hoping my existong one will bolt on to the profile. Keep up the good work
No worries!
I appreciate this video, Karl. I have a question about dimensions as the website doesn't have them yet. Can you provide the wheel mount's height and the overall length and width of the base? I am interested in learning if GT Omega will provide adjustable keyboard and mouse trays as those found in the TR80/160.
The pedal tray is decent enough though I wish it featured a more robust looking (or aesthetically pleasing) solution like the TR160, and the wheel deck featured some semblance of horizontal adjustment.
The wheel deck is adjustable both vertically and horizontally. The fixing 'T' bolts will slide in the grooves of the aluminium box section. Horizontal adjustment can be achieved be moving the uprights back and forth. The shifter mount can then be adjusted separately along it's own horizontal box section
I'll measure up for you mate and as Pete says there is adjustability in all directions and axis for the wheel deck! :)
Peace Karl, wonderful video mate! 512 £ is almost an unreal bargain, I can't wait to get enough space to buy something like this. Keep on keeping on brother!
Thanks mate! :)
You may want to switch out that RS9 seat for a different one. I have the RS9 with my ART cockpit, been using it for about a year now. I find the seat back very uncomfortable after a couple hours of use. I usually end up stuffing a pillow behind my lower back.
That's a shame as it's looks cool!
@@KarlGosling it does look great on the rig lol
Great review man, super helpful. Ended up buying one through your link! Quick question, do yo remember if you used M6 bolts, M8 bolts, or both while assembling the rig? I’m asking because I’m thinking of attaching a Butt kicker mini to it and I know I can fit M6 bolts through it. Did you have any t nuts left over when you were done assembling? Just curious and hoping that maybe they would be M6 and that I will have some left over to be able to mount my Buttkicker.
I think they were all M8, thats what the profile t nuts are.
I had a pre production unit in non retail packaging and was actually short a couple of T nuts so your experience will probably be different! lol
Nice, I knew it was going to be from GT Omega. Looks like a cross between the Evo and the P1
Hi… can the shifter bracket (main aluminum bit) be put on the right hand side? Cheers
Yes mate.
Do the feet on the bottom of the rig adjust to help with un-level floors. I'm in a basement with a horrible foundation and i am afraid the entire thing is going to be tilted. Awesome video!
There is probably 10mm of adjustment for each foot.
@@KarlGosling Thanks so much.
Could you put a Pro Series Office chair on there if you took the gas ram off?
Not without some DIY antics, the bolt holes would not line up for runners.
@@KarlGosling Ah right ok Thanks Karl! I'll have a look at you video comparing the RS6 and 9 chair
nice one Karl.... did not know about GT Omega until i saw this thank you for saving me some cash
No worries! :)
Just got into sim racing last week. So excited starting with the apex based off your vid snd just orders the dear extension . They don’t have any chairs so ordered one that should be here in a month lol this will be my next rig in the future
As an American, I always wondered about Brit driving, yes, it's on the "other" side of the road, but do the pedals reverse too? I'm nearly old as dirt, I never knew. I see now, the pedals are the same, they are not reversed.
Karl, I’ve just purchased the art monitor stand that I use with a playseat set up, was wondering what the width of tge prime is? Wondering if the art will fit over it 🤷🏻♂️
See my follow up video mate, I give all the dimensions.
@@KarlGosling cheers bud, loving the channel 👍🏻👍🏻
Decided on the TR160 after seeing this, thanks!
Did u buy the omega or trak racer ur sayin n what experience have u had
Have you tried the Titan Karl? Ordered one the other day but can't find any decent reviews out there.
I've not mate but I'm trying to get one for review.
What do you think of Titan? Recently bought mine and am really happy overall.
@@grahamkelly8662 Hi Graham, I'm very impressed with the Titan. It is rock solid, very easy to build & easy to get in and out of. Can't see why I would need to change / upgrade it.
Any idea when a keyboard and mouse mount is coming to the prime?
All the accessories are in transit I believe, so very soon!
@@KarlGosling these look just as good as the SimLab ones, so I'm very intrigued.
Have you thought about going GT Style / inverted with your pedals instead of the F1 style ? I did mine , I actually like it better than the stock peddle setup they come in
I'd need the inverted brackets for my Fanatec V3's to do that, it looks cool but I don't think I mind either way.
@@KarlGosling I was thinking more towards the G29 / G920 pedals as for the F1 or GT style but as to the Fanatec V3's pedal I would agree with you , although I would still like the option for both the F1 and the GT style depending on the car I am driving and what the setup it would have in real life for that car . Same goes for a car that would have had a stick shift like say a 69' Camaro or 70' Mustang verses the now newer models that come with Paddle shifts stock , I like it to be true to what it would be for that year of car that I'm driving . Maybe its just a personal preference I'm sure there are others that don't care one way or another .
Looks lovely. Thx for the complete assemble video.
Thanks for watching!
How do the RS chairs fit to the rig Karl? I have a spare bucket style gaming chair (the ones you place onto a wheelbase) and im curious whether I could fit that onto the rig to save me buying the chair? Any ideas?
Hey Karl, I just bought a RS9 seat through your link on another video of yours for a DOF Reality H3 that I have on order. Do you know if you need anything special to mount it on the rig? Also what harness and way to attach it do you recommend if any? Thanks.
I've not used a H3 to know mate, but on my M2 I had to make two adapter plates as it was wider than the seat rails.
How hard are LFE's to mount to this rig? I'm really considering this as the tr80 often comes missing hardware.
LFE, low frequency effects? You mean tactile transducers? I have some that pretty much bolt straight on, fitting them this week! :)
Thanks for the review! Does it look like the wheelbase mount is backwards though?
No, not that there really is a backwards, you can fit it how you like depending on wheel base etc.
Nice info as always. Im most interested in the Rs9 seat which i actually just received but looks real narrow having curved in aggressively at ther shoulders. Im not a big guy but am concerned and not built it yet cos think may have to go back. How do you find it, would another GTO O be worth swapping to?
I have no issues with the seat at all and I have a reasonably wide back, our arms are forward the entire time we drive anyway, the RS6 doesn't curve so much though and the XL I believe is bigger still.
Nice video as always. I really enjoy your reviews. Also where did you get that white shelve unit in the back with all the games on ?
FB Market place mate, I think it was Ikea originally though.
OK... just ordered the GT Omega Prime, but added some simlab accessories.
One very important note for you EU customers!! Even though gt omega HAS a eu-website, you WILL have to pay additional customs and tax on top of the price! This is not advertised clearly on their website, and it's a shame they didn't.
SimLab tr1 teamredline is good enough? What do u think ? I cannot get this full size rigs because of the space and weight
It's very expensive for what it is but I'm sure it will be fine with midrange gear fitted.
hello, thank you for the review ! I am just wondering about the seat if you can adjust the height ? Do you think you could add some brackets or metal plate to have a higher seat ? Thank you
Yes you can, it's aly profile so you can pretty much do what you like! :)
Nice video karl I was gonna go w tr160 but I do believe u got me sold on this plus w trak racer I've heard nothing but bad stuff missing parts or scratches on the rig I'm not paying a grand n having 1 thing missing or messed thanks mate
Trak racers rep used to be terrible, I'm not sure how it is today though.
Do you have any affiliate links and/or coupon codes for the AU website?
Yeah just click the link in the description, it's a global discount, once you hit the US site it prompts you to go to your country and the discount is applied at checkout.
@@KarlGosling PRIME10 doesn't work though unfortunately
Hi Karl. The seat you are using is out of stock and the cheaper version isn’t the colour I’m looking for. I take it any seat would fit as long as it had a subframe? Did the bolts for your seat come with the full package? I’m thinking of going frame only and buying a real car seat. Cheers 👍🏻
Yeah any seat with runners will fit (or even without if you don't mind not being able to move it! lol), yes the bolts came with it.
Cheers mate! I am about to pre-order but need to know if caster wheels can be added? I noticed track racer has some available for their tr160 rig, could I throw those on to this if I pre-order? Assuming the fitting should match the profile base? I absolutely must be able to wheel this out of the way when not in use. Only thing holding me back from purchase right away.
Yes mate castors just screw into the T nuts, I think they are M8 thread.
@@KarlGosling Thanks again for the fast response, going to place an order through your link and grab these casters to fit! www.trakracer.com/product/caster-wheels-with-brake/
Now to decide on which chair to pair with it RS9 or XL...
This cockpit is currently 90$ off making it quiet affordable. I absolutely am in love with mine personally!!!
More if you use my discount link too! Yeah I'm more than happy with mine too :)
Great stuff Carl id have one of these if I had room. I hope my Fanatec csl elite is OK on challenge fold away one ?
Yeah that will be fine.
Hi Karl. I assembled my GT omega prime today and I'm very impressed. I don't suppose you know of any compatible hotas mounts. I've contacted GT omega and they won't have any until 2021.
Excellent! :) I don't mate, but... any HOTAS mount that designed to fit profile rigs should work.
@@KarlGosling Brilliant thanks. I found something that looks just the ticket from a SIM rig vendor in Portugal. Should receive them within the next week or so.
Looks awesome just finished the video. Seat would be low for my setup. Would be awesome to see u do a full compare on your other two setups..
Will do!
Karl, would it work if I get the seat from a different manufacturer for example?
Sure would, can bolt anything on to ally profile! :)
@@KarlGosling sold!
Just ordered it, thanks for saving me $34 with the code lol
No worries!
I just ordered one today!
So I don’t have enough space to keep the rig in the room with my pc, so I would love your opinion. How heavy and hard to move do you think this rig would be? I could put some good locking casters on this but with the shifter mounted I will definitely have to either move it vertically through the doorway or take the shifter off and maybe lift the front to clear the 90 degree angle into my hall.
I have a GT Omega Apex wheel stand so I could get the rear seat attachment but the lack of adjustments worries me, will the wheel be too far back? Too high? Will the pedals be in the right spot for my leg length? Etc
This would not be easy to move through a doorway with sim gear attached, it would be very heavy! Castors work fine though.
Hey ! Could you please provide any solutions for castor wheels in Europe ???
Amazon mate, M8 fitment.
Good looking chassis. I’m glad there’s another option on the market. Hopefully they offer side mounts for the Podium wheel bases and front mounts for front mounted dd motors.
The mounting slots on the pedal tray look weird. Like they’re running in the wrong direction. Do the t nuts have spring balls? That’s a must.
Karl, Do you know if the Heusinkveld Sprint pedal can be directly mounted on the pedal plate or would we need Heusinkveld’s baseplate? How do you think the included pedal baseplate will perform with “stronger” pedal as, do you think flex might be an issue?
I think it would be fine, there's a box section brace across the middle and the very shape of it with the welded corners kind of making it a "box" should prevent any flex, also I've just been upstairs took the pedals off and jumped up and down on it too, felt solid! So I think we're good! :) lol
Just placed my order through your promo, thanks for the great videos🤙.
Hope you enjoy it!
just ordered a DIY 8020 rig with fanatec wheelbase and integrated monitor stand fully adjustable for VSA from 75x75 till 200x200 for only 367,08 EURO shipping cost included......it is about 326.59 Pounds. Still find this very expensive (500 Pounds and no monitor stand available)
DIY will always be cheaper, but not always better.
@@KarlGosling it is all ALU profile and STD connections like the GT omega and the Simlab cockpits.
I have even more profiles to have more regidety. it is made up out of 40x40, 80x40 and 120x40 ALU profiles.
Only thing you need to do is think about all the things you want. but guess what you can base yourself on existing rigs and copy all to have your own rig.
But if you buy it you don't have to think about it, it is all there.
greetz.
How would I go about mounting the inverted Fanatec V3 pedals to this rig and do I need any add-ons to do so?
Great video :)
I don't know mate sorry.
Overall seems great but the fact that there is no DD1 bracket version is the only reason I'm not getting this over Trak Racer TR80 at the moment, even though this one seems to be more on par with TR160 at a price below that of the TR80. Bah, still cant decide which one to buy...
Brackets coming but also the DD1 can of course be mounted as is.
Im guessing u need to use the seat sliders to get in and out of the rig?
Depends on your leg/arm length and how close you are to the wheel deck uprights mate.
Karl, any feedback on mounting the Fanatec V3 pedals and finding a comfortable position? Really nice job on the videos!
I've not moved anything over yet, still need to find a monitor mount solution.
I don't see their website say it supports Fanatec Direct Drive wheels?
Fanatec Clubsport Wheels
Fanatec Elite wheel series
Thrustmaster wheels (T500RS, TC-PS, TS-XW, T300RS, T-GT)
Logitech G25, G27, G29, G920, G923
AccuForce V1/V2
They bolt straight on, the two other reviews on TH-cam are both using DD1's.... I just can't afford one! lol
It looks really cool but the pedal plate seems bit light and thin in my opinion. Specially when it comes to load cell pedals. Did you try it with them at all? It looks like it might have some bit of flex (I used to have gt omega apex wheel stand and it flexes alot with load cell and that pedal tray looks identical to it). Also the price of this is quite high, even without the seat it's almost 700€ compared that to Simlab's GT1-evo for only 400€ without seat. I have gt1-evo and I can tell it's bang for the buck and this looks a bit cheap imo. I don't know if gt omega ran out of budget when it comes to pedal plate but if that's the case they should have rather used like 40x80 profile and make sturdier pedal tray.
Pedal plate is fine, I was literally jumping up and down on it earlier to test it for another viewer, there was no movement or flex that could be seen or felt.
Load cell brakes are not that hard to press compared to box section steel which is what is underneath the plate, my ART has V3 Fanatec pedals and even that doesn't flex.
Which castors did you buy Karl? Looks like this is now in stock on the website 👍🏻
I've not yet mate, but I will be. They need to be M8 and be able to take the weight of you and all your rig loaded up.
Would they just connect to a t-nut Karl?
Rig is being sent out today!!
Karl great vid. The tracking referral code in your description looks like it's lost when the website pushes us Brits to the UK site - if you're getting any kick back for this you might want to qualify you're not missing out.
It works fine mate, but thanks! :)
Will be buying. Please be available on 15th Dec as that's pay day lol.
Sprint Pedals compatible with this?
I think they launch on the 14th! But don't forget you'll miss the pre order discount by that point.
If they are not already drilled then you soon can, but there's loads of slots already.
Preordered one because of this video!
Enjoy mate! 🙂
I can see condensation on your window. That means your double-glazing windows are broken. Aluminium profiles can't help with that.
You are correct, and... you are also correct! lol
Loving the price on this cockpit! But wondering If GT Omega has considered something like the upgrade kit for the pedals and such In the future, that you can buy for the P1-x? (P1 upgrade kit and so on)
We'll see in the new year, that's when all the addons come out :)
can never have enough "ball-bags"
Looking at your speakers looks like you have a decent sound system , I have a 120 watt per channel 8 speaker Pioneer A/V Receiver with my racing cockpit centered in the middle . While other people / neighbor are away at work during the day I can hear and feel what the cars engine is sounding like on track and hearing the cam sound in the pits and If want I can listen to some tunes while driving and at night I have head phones so not to keep neighbors up at night when their trying to sleep . Never had a complaint or issue from my neighbors over it . Granted my simulator isn't as expensive as yours but I'm using the g 29 so doesn't need to be like I would if I had a D.D. But that's for a later day . The fact that you have no movement in your new rig should make the G29 feel better / feed back through your wheel I would think .
A big sound system makes all the difference! :)
You're spot on there, the G920 feels much better with a solid rig than using one with flex, I was surprised!
hi mate
is the dd1 compatible with the rig ? its not mentioned on their website, that's why I asked
cheers
I don't have one to try so drop them an email or give them a quick call to check mate as I don't know sorry!
@@KarlGosling yeah I emailed them, it does, I will be purchasing this rig, thanks anyway mate, good luck
Karl, does your discount still work? I'm in the USA. PRIME10 isn't a valid code here. I tried using your link. Great video, sold me on it.
PRIME10 was the launch discount, my code KG5 is still valid though yes 🙂
Great vid Karl, GT Omega good quality kit
Thanks Paul! :)
I have the rs9 seat on my gt omega classic cockpit, I have a 52 inch chest, it's more than comfy, I can sit in it for hours no problems, it's more about getting the sitting position right, not a problem with all the adjustment on the rig.
Would the Monstertech MTX HOTAS / JOYSTICK module work with the GT Omega Prime?
If it's for aly profile then yes.
Not currently available on the aus site :/
I know it's two years ago, but it would have been easier to bolt the seat rails to the seatbase first, then you wouldn't have had to do all that measuring up
