I brought this exact saw last spring, been wanting to put a new diablo on it but been a little intimidated changing it. Thanks for the video, I'm going to change it shortly!!!
After struggling with getting the new blade and watching five other videos, I finally found yours. Removing that little plastic channel in the back makes all the difference. Thanks!
This video made it easy to change the blade on my new SW779. But my new blade required me to use that adapter for the bigger one-inch hole. I don’t know why, but the new blade with the adapter bound up and froze the blade so that it would not spin! I had to reinstall the original 32-tooth blade, which did work fine. I wonder why a new Dewalt blade (with 1” hole) froze up and would not spin at all.
Depends on how stripped they are, you could try a rubber band between the screw and the drill bit and maybe get lucky. I think they make specific drill bit heads for stripped screws although I personally don’t have any.
To be 100% honest, I have no idea. You might be able to pull the manual from your saw online and see if it mentions anything. Maybe someone in the comments can educate us?
Thank you! I had forgotten about the tool that came with it to change the blade! Great video!
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks. After I did the recall swap, I couldn't get the blade back in. This worked perfectly for me.
Glad the video helped!
I lost my wrench and finally found this where you knew what wrenches to replace it with.
I have absolutely no idea where my wrench is at this point 😆
Super helpful, exactly what I needed, thank you MMCC
Thanks, glad it was helpful!

Nice! This saw is awesome in my opinion, I would be lost without it. You won't regret changing to a diablo blade!

Glad it was helpful! I have to rewatch my own video every time I go to clean the blade 😆

That seems odd, I’m not familiar with the adapter part personally, but it might not be compatible with your specific saw?
Any advice for when the screws are stripped and too tight to turn?

excellent, thanks. Can I use a .126 kerf blade with this miter saw or only .110?
I’m not 100% sure honestly, I don’t see how that would have an effect but you may want to check the manual on your specific saw.
Great tutorial!
Thanks Bucky!
I was gifted this saw blade and don't have the part that's being put on at 3:40, what does it do/is it important? ty :)

I should have hung around for the extra few seconds when you said most of us probably lost that tool. I did find it but wasted a half hour 😂
Haha, usually those type of specific tools are the first thing I lose
Thank you for the video !
