My favourite 😋 I was visiting India, Kolkata last December and was very surprised to find this simple Turkish dish on the Grand Oberoi's breakfast menu, so delightful and refreshing 🥰 Thank you for sharing💖
The table settings look wonderful with all of the different dishes you highlite at the end. This hoshefe is so easy to make as a companion to other savory dishes. Thank you again.
Thanks for the recipes 😍😍 In my city "Mostaganem " in Algeria we have an old recipe very very old almost people don't know it of "Khochaf" it's like a juice "Sherbat" with dry raisins, sugar, and some flavour like cinnamon water boiling all together and let it cool We drink it in Ramadan most in Sohor time to have energy and don't be thirsty 😀
I need to know this - I will be in Istanbul the end of Ramadan and when I move it is important I learn these foods to help my neighbors know I celebrate with them on the various holidays. I want them to know I seek to be a part of them, not separate! I LOVE Turkish culture! And cannot wait to be a part of it every day!
I love it! In Bulgaria we do it for Christmas and Muslims here sometimes serve it on Iftar too i love khoshaf with dried apricots and prunes can you show dried figs in milk dessert from Ottoman cuisine Armenians have something named mirkatan which is like this

Salam. How would this taste if I used honey instead of sugar? Would it still taste like Hoshaf? (I have reasons for not using sugar in my cooking.) Many thanks
Yes you can try that. Actually since the recipe comes from Ottoman times they were using honey to sweeten the dishes. So yours would be more original :) Please share the result with us
