It's finally here.. F-Zero X! This one has long daunted one me as I know how ridiculously difficult it can be to complete and yep... this game is no joke on Master difficulty! I think I won all races except for a few on Joker Cup, but placed first at the end of the cup either way. The first three cups are reasonable but Joker Cup is just something else. All races are played with Captain Falcon because well.. it's F-Zero. If you were hoping to see another character being played here, sorry! I did however include *all* endings at the end of the video. There's no actual ending aside from one line of dialogue and a few seconds of firework art... I wasn't sure if it was worth including, but since I got all endings recorded for the GameCube game I wanted to include them here too. It felt unnecessary to replay through the game like 20 times so I simply took the screenshots from vgmuseum (huge thanks to them and whoever submitted the screenshots!). You're essentially getting the same thing from the screenshots, but without the firework show. Before you ask.. yes! I have also recorded the Expansion Kit which can be found here: th-cam.com/video/ePf6QlVehPQ/w-d-xo.html
I still have this game, and I actually beaten it all. Fastest racing game of its day. But Master difficulty has NO MERCY. I also like the fact that the Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 64 is featured in this game. Perfect for F-Zero, as we all know how long it takes to go around that course in its original source material.
Childhood game! Spend countless hours on this game. Loved the soundtrack and also the death race mode. However I never fully completed the game. I could complete novice, standard and expert and the first three cups of master. But the last one as well as the X cup are way to difficult. Especially the latter because of the fact every track is randomly customized and most of them are pretty difficult tracks that required pure skill. Still loved this game and the X cup regardless. My favorite racing driver is Leon by the way and of course Captain Falcon
Yeah I knocked a few off during the final race in Joker Cup iirc, but honestly overall I didn't have great experience with it so I didn't like using it
Not immediately killing your Rival, 2nd Rival etc. on the 2nd or 3rd Track is such risky behaviour, you don't have to be first if all your rivals get 0 points!
Thanks. There’s an in-game cheat for it. I wanted to make sure to play on Master difficulty for all cups.. plus showing off all vehicles is a nice little bonus
The music totally rocks here, but I still think the original's music actually fits the whole future sci-fi theme more. Overall though, definitely a great F-Zero game. I probably rank them SNES > N64 > GC personally. It's such a crime Nintendo hasn't done a proper modern and actually taken-serious version of this franchise for Switch and such. At the very least, it would be cool if there was a version of this N64 game running in full HD with no graphical pop-in.
F zero sucks because you can't steer without having surgeons for thumbs. It's impossible to steer in this game, much less earn 1st place. Whoever makes vids like these are not real humans or are cheating with TAS software. F zero should stay a dead franchise. Permanently
You wouldn't expect a video game to have Death Metal music (complete with growling vocals) and if it did you certainly wouldn't expect it's a first party Nintendo title.
Hey, LongplayArchive. Thank you for my request. I hope you like F-Zero X with a banger of a soundtrack compared to the original for the Super Nintendo.
Yeah that's precisely why I think we're not seeing F-Zero games anymore.. many games try to cater to very wide audiences now and they don't want to destroy the F-Zero community by releasing an easy new release for the franchise. It probably costs too many resources to produce an F-Zero Switch game for a niche community that's good enough to play it.. or it's just greed. Dunno
@@longplayarchive They said in interviews that they haven't made a new F Zero game because they can't come up with anything different for the new game. If that's true, then we don't want anything different, we just want a new game. Also, I feel like you're right. It probably would take up a lot of resources to create a game that only a small number of people will play.
Yeah the randomly generated thing put me off as you could essentially play it endlessly and pass it all off as unique content, plus whatever tracks you'd see on my video wouldn't be generated on your version from my understanding. For games like Super Mario Maker we also don't record the user submitted randomly made stages

Captain Falcon wins the Grand Prix is the true ending
Everyone cares about Cap Falcon, but nobody remembers Stewart, Goroh, Pico or Black Shadow
Another Nintendo 64 Marathon! Plus the rock music for the main menu super loud and it has the guitar rocker effect
Fuck i love the soundtrack of this game!
What a cool game of F-Zero X from the best race!
captain falcon winning the grand prix is awesome I agree 😊
that 3, 2, 1, goooo guy is really creepy.
A fun and really crazy N64 racing game.
You can use the attack move (double tap the shoulder buttons) to launch your craft left and right in tight corners without losing too much speed.
Yeah I knocked a few off during the final race in Joker Cup iirc, but honestly overall I didn't have great experience with it so I didn't like using it
@longplayarchive liar. You cheated at this game so you didn't have to use actual techniques or play the game properly.
Not immediately killing your Rival, 2nd Rival etc. on the 2nd or 3rd Track is such risky behaviour, you don't have to be first if all your rivals get 0 points!
I like the fact that they are doing this with 100% unlocked content

Appreciate you comin to give it a view
had my anxiety up without energy 😂
What a game this was 😮
Nice
They should bring back F Zero and have it be the expert's racing game and have Mario Kart be the racing game everyone can play.

Use side attack while turning in high speed. U lost too much speed whitout it!
Um no x cup???
Isn't the X Cup just a random selection of tracks from the other cups though?
@@KodiakDug not from the other tracks, but yeah a cup where the tracks are randomly generated. still would have liked to see it, though

Iva Skyway
Nintendo needs to stop playing and make another F-Zero
Nintendo doesnt care about its fans
