    I use it every day and still find myself going back and brushing up what it does. I love your forward thinking and free updates.

    This plugin is so ridiculously good and easy to learn. I had no idea about the crossing faders to eliminate mids, that is super clever!! This plugin forces me to listen instead of visually react, and i have never gotten better results

    Making options more obvious on the display might help Gullfoss survive.

    Can you elaborate on how Boost works? I usually just play with it until it looks/sounds good but would like to make sense of what it’s doing, especially at values like +/- 35db.

      Boost is a global parameter, so to get a better idea of what it is doing, you can set all other parameter values to zero and only use Boost. This will help you gain an intuition for the processing.
      In technical terms, Gullfoss can compensate for the perceived frequency balance at difference listening volumes, controlled by the Boost parameter. The parameter changes the perceived loudness relative to a 68dB SPL sound source 1 meter in front of a virtual listener. So a boost of +20dB makes it sound like a 88dB SPL sound source under the same conditions. The perception model behind it is more accurate than that behind the Fletcher Munson curves and the equalisation is also non-static.

      @@metalhead3ecr aah interesting ....when i use gullfoss on the masterbus, i like to set boost to -2db, sounds better to me most of the time

    Hello. I have a question. Does it has auto gain? If not, will you update it with that function?

    • @metalhead3ecr
      @metalhead3ecr 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Gullfoss is perceptually loudness matched. There is no perceived difference in volume between the processed and unprocessed sound. Although new peak information may be recovered.

    I assume option+click for parameter bypass is alt+click in Windows?
