01:58 Unlatch knuckle connector from radio unit
02:05 Disconnect pink LVDS cable
02:34 Drop glove compartment
03:09 Connect Unavi knuckle connector to the radio unit
03:44 Fish large knuckle connectors and connect OEM and Carplay connectors together
04:30 Fish OEM pink LVDS on top
04:41 Fish LVDS cable on top and connect CarPlay LVDS connector
05:14 Splice ground wires together
05:37 Microphone for siri connection
06:44 Route CarPlay USB chord
07:22 Place Wi-fi antenna
07:51 Dip switch settings
08:37 Connect connectors to CarPlay module

Yes, there is a screw at the back, without removing it the compartment will not come out..
Exactly where do you put your module? Do you just drop it at the back? Because then you have so many cables that will not allow you to just drop any thing. Or did you put/drop the unit behind the Display unit?

Hi this is one of the techs with unavi usa, as an installer we wouldn't really be able to tell you how we did it but we did put in the glove compartment area, you would have to find a way to make it work. Also a little observation that we came across but for the VW that we worked on in this video, there is a gigantic volume of space behind the monitor which could be use for something good. You would just need to learn how to take off the screen which could be risky for the panel since it can easily break.

How do I get it to switch automatically to the park pilot screen (not the reverse camera, that I don’t have). I mean those indicator lines for the front and back sensors.

Hi, I have three question:
1)if you are listening radio fm what happens when you switch to android auto/carplay? do the radio stop or it continues playing? thanks in advance
2) when you are in the rear view camera screen, do you still see the parking sensors on the left side of the screen like in the original screen?
3)when you are close to some obstacle does the sensor screen automatically appear on the left side of the screen like in the original system?

Hi this is one the technician here @unavi:
1. If you switch from OEM to CarPlay screen while using am and fm radio, the radio will not change unless you do that on the OEM side. If you like to hear am and fm radio using carplay with out losing any carplay sound. You can install a radio app on your phone and use that on carplay.
2. You will not lose any OEM function what so ever. As soon as you hit the "reverse" in gear the OEM screen will switch ON on its own.
3. Thats OEM function whatever you had at first thats what you will continue to have even after the install of our kit in your car.
