I appreciate their honesty because it tells us a lot about society in general. These women wouldn't have taken these drastic measures if society didn't make them feel like they weren't good enough. It'd be so easy to sit here and judge these women but their reasons to me seem very valid. Everyone wants to feel like they belong..we all want to be loved and appreciated...all things that make us human. And when the color of someone's skin is their biggest barrier to all that, it's easier to change to fit in than to change the way society sees them.
It’s not just happening in black community. It’s happening in a lot of countries in Asia as well. A lot of arab celebrities I watched growing up have bleached as well, and extreme plastic surgery.

In that case africa is saying What? Oh dear ! The darker the better in my eays.
The tyra show was woke before the mainstream
Lmao you must be very young, there wasn’t anything that Tyra covered that Oprah or another talk show host hadn’t covered
They’re bleaching but still dark so what’s the point ??
That’s my thought. Nothing wrong with brown skin
This was in the old days. It wasn’t strong enough that bad.
lol.
Audience looking at then crazy but can’t deny their trauma . This is the truth of how it is for most Black women smh
very true
The purple lady's story broke my heart.

I guess it's a matter of preference. Darker the better comment is emphasizing color as well. God made us in different shades, which are all beautiful.

Them wigs were a hot mess lol
