For anyone who's on a low budget with their music production, the alesis vmini is selling for about 50 bucks (a little more with tax) and has all the basic features you need as well as 4 drum pads. It also comes with a pretty neat plugin that has over 2000 sounds. From the little bit of research I did, this midi keyboard has the highest ratings out of all the budget ones, even the $50 akai midi controller had more complaints then this one which kind of shocked me as akai seems to be a pretty good brand. I have not used it yet as I just ordered it so I'm just speaking based on reviews.

Open your instrument of choice and on the top tabs click the far right and on the bottom you will see the keyboard now right click on any key and it'll change your root note or if you want to quick change octaves you can do this here as well. Hope this helps.

Hello, somehow I can't play (f dim) f g# b chord on my keyboard (pressing V H M letters at the same time). Two notes play fine, but it can't get to the third note. However when I use piano roll those notes work perfectly. Is there a way to fix that?
