    My one hip would non-stop "pop" during my workouts, it always prevented me to push myself because it would become really uncomfortable at times. After doing these stretches, I did my regular workout routine and there was no popping !!!! And I am beyond happy and grateful and amazed !!! Please give these stretches a go if you deal with the same issues

    A big thank-you from across the pond,
    I am a Jungian psychoanalyst in Brighton, south east England. Sitting a lot goes with the job - so I can get very stiff. I recently experienced a clicking in my right hip, which was then with me on every step I took. I thought it might mean I needed a hip replacement (I'm 70 years old in February), and I found it upsetting as walking over the South Downs with a walking group is one of the social activities I enjoy. I tried your 'two 90s' exercise on two consecutive evenings, and it is now as if I never had the problem. I am very grateful for your generosity in sharing these exercises online. They are quite simple, but very effective.
    Thanks again, John.

    I really didn't think this was going to help at all. But I had really bad pops, grinding, and clicking in my right hip and decided to give it a shot. I've suffered from this clicking for 2 yrs nonstop, came out of nowhere and just stayed. I tried to do the video exercises as close as possible and after everything I went back on to the bed to rotate my hip the way that always makes clicks and was so anxious. But as I did it, NOT a single click! I really can't believe it...thank you so much for your knowledge and information you really have helped me feel so much better! • @DrRowe
      @DrRowe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@blackout2430 It's common to see soft tissue imbalances on both sides. One side just might be more at that particular moment and experience the snapping sounds, and then suddenly switch to the other side. That's why it's also very important to work both sides, to keep them in balance.

      Same with me. Almost instantly, my right knee had an ACL reconstruction years ago and ever since I've had what feels like the IT band rubbing over the hip when I do Hip rotations and "open the gate" movements as a warm up" the same knee had a bucket handle meniscus tear which seemingly made it worse (and possibly added to the cause of the tear in the first place). Currently recovering from meniscus damage on my left knee & noticed the same feeling on that side, after just doing the first stretch that almost disappeared, I'll be doing this routine daily from now on. Thank you! (Subbed as well 👌).

    I havent been able to visit my physio since March because of various lockdowns. I took up yoga in March and it's great but I thought I couldn't fix my hip without my physio- that is until I searched for solutions and came across this gem! I just did the exercises along with the explanation- so I didn't do the holds for extra seconds- just only as long as the demonstration- and my hip that was popping for the last few months is not popping now. I'm actually a bit shocked- I think the one that got my pop was the one with the leg straight on the chair and then lifting up. I really felt my special weakness there even though I'm strong from the gym and yoga. I'm going to add these moves into my yoga routine to see if I can keep that pop away- it pops really loud- I find it quite disturbing. Wow- great video- saved int my faves now! Thank You!

    Finally some relief for my tight hips with loud popping and knee pain. I've done this 2 or 3 times with improvement each time. Thank you so much for helping. My main symptom is knee pain , but relieved with these exercises. I swear i hv a adhesion band attached at hip pulling my knee out of alignment. The 90/90 was the most helpful. Ive had 2 injection with temporary relief.
    My hips feel loose, still pop but not as loud...lol

    I haven't tried these exercises yet cause am watching this before bed but I just opened youtube and glad I saw this!! I have a horrible left hip pop my right is good and I have gone to the chiropractor about it and also for my back, so far nothing has changed for my hip clicking and loud pop, it's so bad it prevents many exercises like high knees, mountain climbers, leg ups, all with hip popping and I don't want to ruin my hip so I will try these tomorrow and update you on my take on these exercises, and what sucks the most is that am only 16 and have back pain, hip popping, an am guessing it's because of covid I basically sit all day for school and I sit a lot while playing games for hours.

    Thank you for making this instructional video. It’s super helpful.
    “Oh man oh man oh man. Shit!”
    That’s me doing your cute little workout. I was cursing you and your progeny the first few times through. Now, two days in, I’m doing a ton better. Walking without a cane!
    The first position is completely unobtainable. The rest were challenging in a way I knew they are what I need. I’ve been struggling with debilitating hip pain for two months. My doctors were at a loss. So I’m figuring it out myself - and I actually am!
    Because of a smashed pelvis years ago in a car crash, I’m already pretty messed up - and fixed up. As in, I already have a neurologist, spine surgeon, and pain management doctor to reach out to. The docs pretty much decided this is old age for me. I insisted it’s a new injury.
    The runner’s injury, iliotibial band, and the dancer’s injury, snapping hip tendons, is not where I thought I’d find relief. But here we are. Trying to approximate the warrior poses, just to get a stretch, gave me so much popping, I had a new search lead.
    I’m still a work in progress, but I’m getting better and I’m optimistic. Maybe I’ll find a new problem once I get some range of motion. We’ll see.

I did the 2nd exercise at work with the chair I have in my office. My lower back will start to hurt sometimes when I sit for too long, & I think from sleeping on my stomach.. cuz sometimes the next day I wake up & my lower back is sore. Sometimes when I sit on the toilet & push (as if I were to poop, tmi I’m sorry ok lol) my pelvis will pop!!! & sometimes just when I lean forward in my chair I can feel this sensation build like it’s about to pop, & if I push & lean forward more it will pop (most times). It never used to do this but I’m definitely going to be using these stretches every day now. Thank you so much!!☺️
