For those who may not have used microns before: 08 micron = 0.50 mm (pen tip) 01 micron = 0.25 mm 005 micron = 0.20 mm When you showed your binder full of manga pages, it brought me back to when I was 12 years old drawing comics. Fun times!
I want to start making my comic series, but I'm so scary to start because of my age and it looks so hard... that nobody will notice my work. I just don't know how to stop fearing and start working. (sorry for my English. I'm from Russian,so it's hard for me.)
OMG don't worry, dear! Just draw and have fun💕 Creating Manga and comics is hard work, but if you love to do it, you can find a lot of happiness doing it😄💕 Don't let fear stop you from doing things that can bring you happiness (and bring happiness to people who may read your story) +Miroko 1717
You showing your old Manga pages reminded me of how I started when I was about ten years old. I used to draw on A5 and on top of that on both sides of it because I didn't know that editing and formatting a page digitally was actually a thing!
Aaaw, that's so nice that this was nastolgic for you! 😄 LOL I was with you on that one! I used to think that all digital art was made with markers 😂 +Rina
OMG ABSOLUTELY!!💕💕💕 I've been wanting to share a video on some traditional inking techniques for shading manga, so please look out for it, dear! THANK YOU for the request! +Nephtalie Albert
My Mangaka LIFE you're welcome. Your artwork is anazing. And I have a question for you. Does an artist need every single brand of art supplies or is it based on personal preference to have a few brands?
Don't compare yourself to others because we all have different styles and learn at a different pace. All that matters is your own personal journey: are you doing your best, are you having fun, are you challenging yourself? These are the things that matter😄💕 +Ibex
I love this video. I wish this advice was around when I was 12 years old. I still remember that I drew my comics in composition notebooks, made the panels with a school ruler and made the line art with black marker and black pen. Obviously it wasn't perfect but I have to agree that it helped me a lot to learn. I'm hoping that you consider showing us your old comic books, it's always nice to see how an artist has become better on their own art.
Nice I remember making comic as a kid ...I did not keep the pages but I did keep the binder filled with some manga ideas. Will I ever use them in the future...maybe.
It's always cool to keep your old drawings! Even if you never refer to them for future projects, it's just nice to see where you came from as an artist 😄 +Future Mangaka

This video was very helpful. I do have some of the supplies needed, although I do plan on getting some of the other supplies such as the quill pens just to give them a try. Thank you for uploading the video.
Oooh!💕 The quill pens are a GREAT thug to try! It does take time to get used to, but I'll be making a video veeery soon to help teach you all how to use them, how to clean them, and how to create special effects with them💕 I hope you'll look out for that! 😄😄😄 +ArtKeyKnight

Thank you so very, very, very much! I was always curious on what things are needed to make mangas/doujinshis. This is very helpful and now I know what to get, plus this gives me a bigger motivation to draw.
Ok, when you held up the one you did at age 12, I did not expect that. That black and silver cover is seriously dope. I know it’s just a taped up sketch pad, but no joke, I would pay $100 for a nice hardcover book that looked like that.
This video was very helpful for me. I just started middle school and made up my mind of becoming a mangaka when I found out about your channel and I can't wait for your next video🤓🤗

Hi, and thatnk you so much for this video it helped me so much. You should do a video about all of your art adventures. how you started and what inspiration you had and so on.BTW I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS 😍

Thankuu... For this video..I was planning how to start my manga.. And whether which supplies I need for drawing... Thankuu.. So much for this.. This helped me very much😄😄😻😻
Speedball ink is also my favorite ink. I buy it in the big 16oz bottle size (which runs about $10 at my local art store.) This ink has almost supernatural properties. The longer you let it dry the more indestructible it becomes. According to Speedball, the ink isn't actually waterproof until at least 24 hours of drying time, but it even becomes marker resistant when dried longer than 72 hours. I've found that letting it dry for 5-7 days is usually sufficient for Copic coloring. Good to know if you're not working on a budget of time.
The KOH-I-NOR elephant eraseris the best eraser. I have the Faber castell as well (the one on the left in the video) but the elephant one is better. You just have to cut the corner for it to be sharp and than you can erase for highlights.
Manga isn't really my style but this video is SO helpful for all kinds of artists. i said this on another one of you videos but ILY YOUR PERSONALITY I would love to be you friend!!! :)

For my school art fair thing, we made comics for my drawing and painting. My teacher was great and allowed some of us who were more into comic book art to make comics. She gave us like a whole semester for our comics. She was going to use a book binder machine to bind them for us, but I decided literally last minute that the whole thing was trash to I redrew all of it and bound it by hand using thread, a needle, and glue. :3 those are my humble comic beginnings of sewing at school
