Not many videos out there with this content mate, so cheers for this info. I have had a few goes at getting mine to work properly after having a bearing seize. I had it fixed, but I did something wrong in the re-assembly and it broke the linkage shaft, so out it comes again & I have the shaft welded up, put it together again but now it is slipping the internal PTO clutch, so out it comes again, I clean & polish the copper n steel plates because they were oily from overfill PTO box maybe & I also replaced the main shaft seal this time, put it together but it still slips too much, so it is about to come out again as I think I need to adjust the shaft linkage arm a few turns or more to help engage the clutch properly & I will also put in a new or better pin on linkage shaft as the solid one I have is a bit sloppy & therefore may not be fully engaging the teeth that lock into the main shaft it seems ok in that area so far but I feel under a heavy load (Stump, etc) it could shear if I dont attend to it now. Thanks for sharing this info mate. Cheers from Australia
That's exactly why I documented this adventure. You can learn nuclear science on TH-cam, but there is nothing on an old 2010. Lol. Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope it helped. Thanks for watching!!
My PTO lever moves all the way forward and back. Freely and is engaged, Can't disengage now.. Could it be the linkage. Never grinds or anything. Always works grate.
Not specifically on that linkage, but a series on this tractor from removing the rock shaft all the way to my final thoughts on what failed and what I did to fix it. Look up yesterday's tractor parts or farmer John's tractor parts if the dealer doesn't have what you need.

It very well could be the linkage. From what I remember that is also a common prkblem.
@@BlueRibbonGarage thanks. By the video looks like I got to remove the top of gear box to get to it.
I'd say that's probly the easiest way. I have other videos on that as well.
@@BlueRibbonGarage on fixing the linkage. That would be great !! I got to go to JD tomorrow hope they have the part since it's a common problem..
