In this video we take delivery our first Porsche! It's a 1984 944 that lived most of its life in California. We purchased it from a gentleman on the west coast of Canada and it made the long journey back to the east. The first order of business was to wash all the grime that it has collected. The previous owner had it stored in a car port for a year without cleaning, so this was long overdue. I am very hyped to get the ball rolling with this project and Short Throw, we have every intention of taking you guys along for the ride, we want everyone to be as much of a part of it as possible. Hell yeah man! My only problem with that is willingness to have the car painted as it would desperately need it in order to keep it long term. But we’ll see how everything goes! Gold and the black would be dumb hard!

Slightly Lowered and Good All Under. Fresh Bushings (Poly?), KW Coilovers/Suspension ? , Wheels, Tires, Brakes, OEM + were applicable. Clean, Tight and Mechanically Solid everything works, rides nice and handles....I would have to stare at it longer to come up with a 'Theme' for it.
Oh man I need to get KW's on something! Stuff is way too good. All great ideas, luckily its already very mechanically tight! Needs cosmetic work desperately

Might be late, but refreshed OEM. That would look clean! Exactly the way it is now, but everything with brand new parts, not a single thing untouched
Always thought it would be cool to see a 944 respectfully brought into the modern day. Full interior refresh or overhaul, aftermarket full function radio, some sound deadening, update the interior fabrics ie carpet and headliner, modern coilover suspension, wheels, tires, LED lighting, tint, etc. Nothing gaudy, all understated and respectful.
That would be really cool man! Come to think of it I don’t think I have ever cry ally seen a 944 in that nature. They always go the opposite way and get stripped for race cars haha

Please someone tell me the secret to making the foam come out like it does in the iKfoam sprayer pro 2. I use P&S BB diluted 1:5 with the purple nozzle/tip and it comes out with small bubbles
Man so many people ask this! I literally just put about 10:1 of brake buster in and add water. It has never failed me!
it is the filter that is clogged, wash it with water every time you use it and dry it well. It's important to change it when it's too black

I don’t know you at all - unfortunately, but I only can guess from your style that you like and enjoy the 80-90’s kinda retro stuff - therefore I’d try a 90’s wide body kit on the Porsche (or just build it wide, depending what you prefer) with a proper sporty wing at the rear, but not a nasty ricer body kit and wing, just classy ones would count. Air suspension definitely. I’d keep the build design very clean, I’d use some modern touches as well from new Porsches, like new(ish) 911 20” wheels, different mirrors, lights, etc. American builds like to use Europian/Japanese/etc. specs - Europian builds like to use USA/Japanese/UK/etc. specs like no indicators/reflectors in bumpers and so on, and vice versa, so I’d try to source things that are not Canadian specs, which would make your build very unique. Small custom touches that you could make in house like using different colours or carbon fibre - covering small sections like the wing, or mirrors, door handles or even the bumpers with carbon fibre, then clear coat on, sand, compound, polish, ceramic coating, all done and I believe you could easily do that in house. Tinted windows in rainbow colours. I’d also keep the black colour and ultimately build a proper classy and scary interceptor. But these are just my quick thoughts... Just follow your heart and build your dream. If it’ll come from your heart, people’ll enjoy it and a passionate work will attract more interest/subs to you. And as much I can see so far, doesn’t matter what you do, people like that. Sending much love from Bristol, UK 👊🏻😎🤙🏻

Hahaha yeah man it really is the complete opposite of efficiency. But I love it, or I love the result. TH-cam is progressively becoming more rewarding and I'm hoping will soon let me justify some very fun stuff for us all to enjoy!

If you want to turn it into an all terrain Dakar style vehicle I would suggest rally-spec Ohlins dampers, a set of good all season tires, and strut bars

I think a kind of old school touch would also be great, if you’d like to be modest and gentle, kinda retromod... 😊
Like 18” Porsche Fuchs wheels or Rotiform Fuc wheels as a start with nice lowering (or even smaller wheels than that depending on the lowering)... White tyre walls or nice white lettering, or even steel wheels with chromium hubcaps... Only round and clean shapes and edges, no modern design bits... Few bits from older Porsches... Few custom carbon fibre touches (that would also be great for future videos if you would make them), some foreign market 944 parts, few chromium touches and/or lines, smaller modest rear wing, white Porsche side stripes and an old school small Porsche exhaust (double pipes pointing down), different but factory lights, badges changed or off... So only very slight and all modest modifications to make it even more classier, looking old but still a tiny little bit modern for this century. 👊🏻🤩🤙🏻

Looks like a nice car. Not sure if you can but what about euro spec bumpers and just rally clean ? Maybe an u[dated Porsche audio to give you modern functions and a nice speaker set up hidden away. Def keep the cookie cutters. Orem plus

The 944 is a car I want to own and build personally so I lower it; throw on some nice wheels, buy the aftermarket bumper that has a small hood scoop in between the lights. And maybe a slightly more aggressive hood nothing too crazy doe

Maybe you can install on it some Fender Flares Extra Wide Flexible Arch Body Kit.
I have seen them mostly with wide body kits but that will depend on how bad you will like them and your budget. Man, they look extremely beefy with those body kits.
