I have a question. Can the mechanical thrombectomey with the catheter that puts the clot busting drug inside the clot and then vacuums it out be used for a DVT in both the lower and upper leg? Someone did this before over ten years ago and it was innovative. If so, can this operation be performed without blood thinners if the person can't tolerate them.
This is a very informative video. I was diagnosed with DVT/PE six months ago after an prolonged hospital stay due to adrenal crisis (I also have panhypopituitarism). I am taking Prodaxa but was never advised to use stockings. I am living with constant fear of getting PTS and, of course, death. I am not able to walk as much as I probably should (whatever the amount of walking should be) as I had spine surgery 18 months ago in which unfortunately was done wrong and so I am now undergoing more severe back pain than I was having prior to surgery. By watching this video, I now realize that my medical care regarding my DVT/PE has been quite inadequate thus far. I am now pursuing help from a psychologist to try to attain some quality of life as my fear level is very difficult to cope with. Would I qualify as a patient who would be helped by the techniques detailed in the video and would it benefit me to be seen at UCLA for help with my DVT/PE?
Hi sir, I am from India & got 1st attack in 2014 nov, I did not take it seriously but it was having seviour unbearable pain, Took some medicine & it came to normal in 10-15 days, Again in August -2018 same kind of pain started again & den i went to a vascular doctor & he diagnosted itas Acute DVT, again did not take any medicine, Now the 3rd attack I got it in 9th October 2018, Den I consulted CMC Vellore & doctor started giving 1.clexine(Hyperine) Injection 2 times in a day, 2. Now I am taking Rivaroxaban(xarelto)- 15 mg medicine 3. Folic acid along with some other vitamin tablets Now I am feeling fine & bit swelling I need one clear advice that how safe I am rt now & how long I am safe.
I have DVT desease before 3 months ago,I use anticoagulant rivaroxaban for the DVT desease treatment, and also eaten some food which depends on blood thinners & antibiotics, and so therefore my blood clot dissolve in three days, now I have a new desease a desease of easy bruises & internal bleeding,& efficiency of blood clot, now what I can do.

I got clots in 2019 and 2022 all due to extensive surgery. Other than that I've never had a problem. But now im scared to have any other surgery.
