    My mom has also this, her feet started to swell and she's also experiencing shortness of breath. The doctor told her that she has pleural effusion, they removed the fluids in her lungs until they found out she has DVT. She's now currently taking blood thinners after 2 weeks all of her symptoms are almost gone.

    I had a DVT, and bilateral PE’s. Doppler US confirmed the DVT Dx in the ER. My family practice doc asked me, “did they order a CT of your chest in the ER?” Since I was a former paramedic, I cringed at that question. I was having a bit of SOB, so he ordered a CTA. I was Dx with PE’s (bilateral). I was already on Lovenox, so that continued during my hospital stay. I was referred to a hematologist for f/u testing. I was Dx with a genetic condition, heterozygous for MTHFR. Now I’m on warfarin.

    Deep vein thrombosis is accompanied by too little fibrinolysis (blood clot disolving capacity), as has been observed. tPA is mostly responsible for fibrinolysis activity, so it would appear low tPA secretion is to blame. Interestingly,
    Tissue plasminogen activator-mediated fibrinolysis protects against axonal degeneration and demyelination after sciatic nerve injury, 2000,
    so a low tPA would seem to be responsible for other problems as well, which includes adhesions.
    Bingo:
    Lipoproteins inhibit the secretion of tissue plasminogen activator from human endothelial cells, 1994
    "Lp(a) inhibited constitutive TPA secretion by 50% and phorbol myristate acetate- and histamine-enhanced TPA secretion by 40%. LDL and HDL also depressed TPA secretion by 45% and 35% (constitutive) and 40% to 60% (stimulated)."
    THIS is why high saturated fat and cholesterol diet is bad.

    This video is very relevant right now, as both COVID & vaccines can cause clotting. Often microthrombi- tiny clots- that are too small to detect on scans, so your best bet is a d-dimer test.
    I have asked my parents to get their baseline d-dimer & troponin bloodwork done, as well as S protein antibodies tests, both before and after they get their booster doses.

    Hi, I'm concerned about my Dad. He had a Heart Attack 10 months ago & had 5 stents inserted. About 12 days ago a wooden fence blew down & hit him on the back of his knee. He had a small cut which I cleaned up but as he's on so many tablets (blood thinners etc) I could see immediately that the lower leg was starting to bruise. It was black, blue & purple for a good few days. 2 days ago, his lower leg started to swell. Now his whole ankle is swollen up & black & blue bruising has appeared on the top of his foot & on his toes. His calf is extremely painful but it's the swelling & bruising that I'm concerned about particularly as it has only started in the last 2 days. He has no problem with his chest or breathing but I'm convinced he needs to get checked out even if he is on blood thinners. I suppose I need a little more confidence re the condition to keep fighting with him to go to the Hospital. Do you think I am right??? Thanks

    I had DVT (undiagnosed) and then double sided PE. Now I am 6 moths in, PE was gone after 3 months but small DVT persisted, no I am 6 months on Xeralto with going to 9 month. After that we do another Ultrasound for the DVT. DVT was caused by sleeping in a chair, the right lower leg was sleeping and strong pain in a vein, the calf was for 2 days in a cramp. Unfortunately I did not go to see a doctor, if I would have then the PE would have been preventable.

      Hi..can I know how long U get hospitalised? And is that during your hospitalisation, you hv to hv on and off intubation? My partner has been hospitalised for 3weeks now from PE. I'm so scared for him since now he caught lung infection from being hospitalised.

    • @svenhuber6533
      @svenhuber6533 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tutorwani-nq2my I am sorry to hear that. I also had with the PE an lung infection, I was in the Hospitals for 6 days every 8 hours injections (Low Molecular Weight Heparin (LMWH)) and broadband antibiotics also every 8 hours infusion. After 6 days they did not make an CTA scan again and released me with antibiotic tablets (12 days in total with the hospital infusions) and Xeralto. After 3 month they made a CTA for the lung blood vessels and a ultrasound for the DVT (they did both when I was hospitalized). The lung was free of cloths and but they found small DVT remaining. And yes my lung was full of fluids, that makes actually the trouble (or damaged lung tissue by the oxygen deprivation). Now 9 month in, I still have pain on one side were a lot of fluid was. I also will go this week to make an ultrasound for the DVT, to determine whether I have to stay on Xeralto. I may have to scope all my life with the blood thinner and/or pain (scared lung tissue).

      Oh god I’m so sorry. As to how to find a doctor that cares more about people than money, you actually have to move to a country where doctors are only paid a bit more than the general populace. Then they only get into it truly because they care. England and much or Europe works. I bet you’re in the US, huh? My apologies, dear one. Cancer treatments in the US are especially monetized through doctors. In the US, I’d go on a low vitamin K diet and or warfarin, and Allergy Research’s nattokinase on an empty stomach.
