I had a 2015 Viking and it was a beast. I sold it partly because I got more than I paid for it. But I regret selling it. Probably the best SxS I ever owned and Ive had several. 😊

Excellent video on what to look for. You obviously know your way around UTCV side by sides

Arkansas sure is looking dry. Not much use for a snorkel around those parts, I imagine. 😂
I currently own a Viking VI and can say you pretty much hit everything I check for as far as my own maintenance goes. 👍

I bought a brand new 17 in 2018 and only got 500 km on it yet . I have had to replace the rad fan. There is a common failure of the rad fan from what I have researched .

Am I the only one that has noticed. Desert environment The bunkers and wire in the background the army helmets in the back of the side by side.
And an empty box with aerobic writing on it?
You sir most likely recorded this in either Afghanistan or in Kandahar.

You should tell people to check the cooling fan on these, they are known to fail.

Do these have a fuel filter other than the one in the tank

The filter sock in the tank is the only one.

Has this thing ever been washed? I wouldn't buy a rig that looked like this one.

I try to keep mine very clean, it happens pretty fast if you do a dat of running around, on the farm, TRYING to keep it clean.

If it's got the 708cc I'd run away.

If you’re riding for fun, and your idea of fun is fast, I tend to agree. If you’re using it for utility or hunting, the 700 has done the job for me and then some. It’s been through the thickest gumbo in AR rice fields, climbed steep rocky hills in TN to haul out deer, and has been through daily use on the farm without any fail. It came with a lift and larger tires from the dealer, along with some other options, but it’s still on the original belt (and I don’t exactly have a light foot either). Take care of it and it’ll take care of you, like most things. Not burning up belts was what got me interested in the Yamaha in the first place, and it hasn’t disappointed in that regard.

@@jackjohnson291 I had a 2016 Grizzly 708. 21 miles out the gate then nothing but problems. At 13k that was my most expensive machine yet. I babied the hell out of it and still was nothing but misery. After replacing three motors and the 4×4 differential more electric problems than I can explain with only 421 miles still a 13k lawn ornament.
Canada made Yamaha recall the 708 motor but here in the USA they just discontinued the 708 in 2018, 2019 they went back to the 686. So if you're running around with a 708cc you're on a recalled motor from our neighbors to the north our government didn't care enough.
The only way I'd buy another Yamaha is if they put a V-twin in the Viking the 686 isn't enough power for me.
But the one thing I don't understand. Is how does Yamaha get away with classifying a 686cc on a 550 chassis and then classifying it as it's 700 series nothing about that machine says 700cc or even puts out 700cc.

We have a yamaha filter so maybe the oil has never been changed. The oil is black. This guy has no clue on what over 2000 miles would do to the oil. It would have been really black if that wear the case. I will buy all you have at the prices you quoted.
