I used to teach and live in Shenzhen for over 3 years. But now back in Europe. Missing Shenzhen everyday. Thank you for such an authentic video catching the city’s vibe and beauty.

Almost 10 years since I moved to Melbourne, Shenzhen is still my favorite city in China. I still remember those evening jogs in Shenzhen Bay after work.

Happy Chinese new year! It was so much fun to watch! I have never been to Shenzhen although I grew up in China. It is so modern and beautiful. Food in your parents' house looked so delicious. Lots of seafood. My favorite. It is a lot for Jesse to take in for sure. But he has you a local guide to experience China. Hope you all have a great time there!

Hey Gloria, it's great that you show your trip back to Shenzhen and dating and eating out. But can you tell everybody on TH-cam what Jesse do for a living ? Talk about him. We want to know about him (his hobbies, his job, his past ex-girlfriend, etc.)

Chinese Citizens living in Canada and students Vancouver and Toronto arrive in HK can get the High speed train after get the Airport express and walk to West Kowloon station pass by Elements mall and it's about 15 minutes ride to Shenzhen Futian and Shenzhen North station (Shenzhenbei).

I lived nearby Seaworld for 7 years, there are many small restaurants worthy to try, German bar on the top floor of that hotel boat, very good vib at night.

The ancient village is Nantou ancient city (南头古城), and the light show is at civic center - it might only happen during Chinese new year though!

How much spending cost for your entire day?
It varies! But the cost of living is definitely lower compared to Toronto (with the same currency)
