yeah the story is so much more thought out compared to descendants and the characters are so beautifully designed. EAH could have easily become one of the biggest tv show/toy franchise for kids

I thought it was a kiss. Even as a kid I never read it as CPR. I think the main reason for this is that the guy tried kissing her but it wouldn’t work or wake her up, and then when the girl kissed her with all that light and magic I read that as “oh she has the gift, she’s the chosen one, she’s Prince Charming, not her brothers”
I debated cause I shipped Daring (blue haired girl Idk her name sorry) and the ginger bread girl on wonderland (the pink haired girl Idk her name too)

Don't forget! Darling Charming has the ability to pause time when she flips her hair. Giving her an advantage to "fix" things for a few minutes before time flows normally again. Unfortunately, it wasn't shown in the animation too.

Mattel was actually supposed to create a Daughter of Peter Pan doll based off a fan's OC though the doll was never made due to the cancellation, the fan did recieve very own art of their OC from EAH and a hand-made doll of the OC though the fan requested for it to be mass-produced unfortunately the fan passed away now and I wish their dream of seeing their character in stores wouldve came truem

About Apple and Raven's privileged room: in the books the school is mostly separated by royals vs. commoners, until Raven rebels. The royals were always given better treatment, important stories got school festivals, and royals competed against commoners in school sports. Raven was the only royal who refused these because everyone hated her because of her mother.

Unrelated but....I remember being so heartbroken when they didn't continue with the Daring X Lizzie romance, it was so out of page for me and totally unique, I was so sad, but Rosabella was his destiny :')

What's funny is that lately, I got into EAH a few months, and I was also getting into the Arsene Lupin books and Lupin III. I then made up a character where he was Arsene Lupin's son (I switched the names between Arsene Lupin Jr. and Antoni Lupin). He is a Royal, due to his love and admiration for his father's talent for thievery and mastery of disguise, but supports the Rebel side constantly. He is also able to jump at far and high distances while sharing his father's talent in lockpicking, disguising, and other various acts related to stealing, but has a newly developed talent for card tricks, which is very useful in situations. His attitude is known for being overly sarcastic and wisecracking but is very serious in important situations, and respectful towards his friends and other people. Later on, in the show, it becomes revealed that he has a crush on either Lizzie, due to, y-know, cards, and begin dating. Or, I had another path where it is Cerise, due to how the name Lupin was used as a wolf-description name in late media. Also, he has a top hat that is able to be thrown at virtually any distance, angle, or direction, and has the ability to cut objects, such as rope, chains, etc. His catchphrase is, "Now you see me, and now you see me again!"

Weird about the origin of Apple Whites hair is that heir mother Snow White and the Snow White she was designed after are totally different characters in Germany aka have different names. Her mother Snow White is Schneewittchen and the blonde Snow White is Schneeweißchen. Two totally different characters from totally different stories

Yes English speaking people confuses the two characters because the translation gave them the same name. In French it's "Neige Blanche and Rose Rouge" and "Blanche Neige et les sept nains".
The snow white in " snow white & rose red" is not the same as in
"snow white and the 7 dwarfs"
In the original German version its not even written the same (Schneewittchen/ Schneeweißchen) but both names mean the same, that's why they have the same name in English.

@@Nightman221k Same !!! Oh gee you got me rambling now! Also the twist of the next Snow White and Evil Queen falling in love just fits so well with what EAH was all about. Darling on the other hand is still from a Charming family, which is a bit more by-the-books.
Though don't get me wrong, Apple/Darling is also cute. I just don't see that same chemistry or flirtyness with them that Raven and Apple had. They truly had a push and pull thing going on, if you know what I mean? And while their relationship/friendship definitely had work to be done, we could clearly see it improve throughout the series. In that aspect, their relationship could be seen as a parallel or as emblematic of the whole Royal/Rebel conflict. Raven and Apple getting together would then be indicative for the conflict having been solved.
Oh! Though another compromise that I also like is Raven/Apple/Darling. The whole package, y'know? Though I doubt Mattel would make a poly ship canon. But seeing how Raven was already officially paired with Dexter by Mattel (not a big fan) I don't think Mattel would've let Raven do the CPR. Darling makes sense as a second candidate for the role.
Though tbh I prefer Darling x Ginger. Or Darling x Rosabella is also cute. Hey y'know I'm noticing a pattern now! Darling goes for the nerdy girls... Rosabella and Ginger both have glasses, and Apple also has glasses (though secretly!) Good for her good for her, nerd girls are cute.
@@EverAfterMsp I feel the same way. Dexter and Raven as a couple weren't interesting and didn't have the engaging dynamic that Raven and Apple had. In fact, I struggle to think of good Dexter and Raven moments. Dexter really needed work as a character, when people thought HE would be Beast because he looked like Disney!Beast's prince form, it had people thinking he'd get more development; but since Daring is the Beast and Darling is the White Knight, Dex comes off as even more of a dud.
What I loved best about Rapple was that they fundamentally disagreed but they were incredibly sensitive to each other and it didn't ruin their friendship. I like Darling as a character, but she didn't have those scenes with Apple to make it feel earned that either would consider each other their "True Love," where as if Raven had been the one doing CPR I would have felt like it brought their relationship full-circle.
Just imagining how it would be for Apple and Raven to someday tell their story to later generations (maybe to their own kids) and say that they never expected their destinies to be so different from the destinies they thought they'd have but they ended up being each other's Happily Ever. They set up so many really great scenes that would be perfect call backs like after Raven refused to sign the book and Apple was crying because she thought she'd never being able to get the happy ever after she wanted, and Raven telling her that it could still happen) It's just more romantic than both just ending up with a royal from the Charming family.
Raven's dad is also Snows's dad, y'all know that right?
@@charlieparker5346 A common fan misconception, but Raven and Apple are not related in the Ever After High version of the fairytale. It's explained in the books that Raven and Apple have separate fathers, but also if they were related it would have been brought up in the series, which it wasn't. Also Erin Fitzgerald, voice actress of Raven, said on her Facebook that she liked the ship, and the official EAH Instagram has used the #rapple hashtag, so I think were good.

Fun Fact: Snow White and Rose Red are different stories/characters from Snowwhite and the 7 dwarfs. In German their names are different, which makes it soooo much less confusing like it is in english. I would actually love to see Snow white and Rose red adopted into the EAH universe! They have such a cool story! Princes that are encanted into animals, a mean dwarf, treasures....I really miss this show! Love your doll tea!!

Everyday I am in awe of the Cerise Hood plot like at what point were they sat in the writer's room and said ''What if Red Riding Hood smashed the Wolf??'' and everyone said ''Yes!''
Also you just know they were smacking their knees making the half-wolf's birthday Halloween
I personally think it was a little clever for them to have Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf to hook up and have a family. I mean, who doesn't admire the allure of the idea of a forbidden love. It also speaks volumes on relationships today and of the past: most relationships between either people of different races or color or even age gaps was frowned upon before and those kind of couples faced a lot of backlash from society, from losing their friends and jobs, and even being outed by their own families because bigots can't see the beauty in their love for each other. RRH and BBW are one of the many prime examples of this concept and it shows that we can't help who we fall in love with and we don't know why, but it's their business, not anyone else's.
It took me a while to get into Ever After High because their faces seemed off to me, but now I've fallen for them! I picked up the First Chapter Lizzie recently and I'm OBSESSED with her. The details!? Amazing.

I wear glasses but it's so rare to find a doll that wears them and I didn't have any glasses wearing dolls as a kid, wasn't until here recently I found a pair of Barbie glasses in an accessory pack and added them to one of the preexisting dolls in my collection. Usually doll glasses are tinted or solid plastic, meant to be sunglasses or just colored fashion glasses, it's so hard to find actual seeing glasses for dolls let alone a doll that's actually meant to wear them. Growing up it was never an insecurity or anything, I've always genuinely thought I look cuter with my glasses, I just found it mildly annoying I could never find a doll that wore them too. but I know it is for some kids and it would be awesome to see more dolls with these smaller details that most people don't think about

I believe that Darling is the hero in the history of Apple after all, the Enchanted one had 3 children, however I believe that an arc would be developed about the fate of the two and whether they would really become a couple or would follow different paths but remain friends.

The original Ever After High design were killer. Also the start of Rain On me by Lady Gaga playing when queer question was mentioned... perfect editing.
Though I do not recall Brooke page showing up in Unfairest of Them All, an interesting thing to note is that Apple actually ends up being seen with glasses in the first book... Though Mattel, they ought to be red glasses specifically for Apple White, not just re-used Dexter Charming glasses. Don't think I didn't notice.

I miss ever after high a lot it was a big part of my childhood-- especially the books, and the series is really close to my heart. It honestly devastates me that descendants pushed them out of the competition, and I really want to series to come back. I do have all the books and I collected quite a few dolls when I was younger but I haven't been able to find them since moving, unfortunately :(
When darling and apple had the cpr/kiss when apple wakes there is a heart that’s shows in the smoke out of apples mouth

I have a theory: Is Daring Charming the Prince Charming of Rosabella Beauty ( as seen in the Winter movie) because in the story of the beauty and the beast, The Beast was super conceited and fool of himself (narcissistic per se) which is seen in the demeanor of Daring 🙃🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ clarify please
I think darling was the most suitable because she has the qualities of a true prince which are courage and a heart. Daring might have the courage part but he only care about himself and dexter on the other hand are always afraid.

For the fact # 5, I don't think this is a exclusive Apple White doll but a prototype one (We know thanks to Garett Sanders that doll designers create prototypes by themselves sometimes) And those pictures are actually coming from an early video about EAH (EDIT: th-cam.com/video/OvdJCw_nHXc/w-d-xo.html ). And there was also some pics of a prototype Raven Queen doll with real jewels ! ;)

I like that apple needs glasses, bc a lot of times characters with glasses are written as nerds or a super shy, socially awkward character. Seeing such a social butterfly with them is really nice 😊

The Brothers Grimm wrote down both the classic "Snow White" most people are familiar with and "Snow White & Rose Red". "Snow White & Rose Red" has nothing to do with the more well know story, it just happens to share a protagonist name (from what I understand they're also spelt different in German). But I wouldn't be surprised if they used that tale as inspiration for making her blonde. (a lot of modern fiction mix them together, and also make Rose Red, Little Red Riding Hood)

Raven queen is born on the same day as me eeeekkk and she’s my fav 🤩I loved this series and I still till this day try finding some episodes
The acceptance in the ever after high and monster high community for different body types (in the ever after high books) colours e.c.t and it’s attempt at LGBT rep really helped me feel better in my own skin growing up on these (⌒▽⌒)
