I am a New Yorker and I was on defense to buy this bag for 30 years now. And 2 weeks ago I got to urge to buy one, but I still didn’t see myself paying over $150 for Nylon. And I really thought about getting red. I planned a trip to Nostrom and Bloomies this weekend. So Saturday morning I set out for the train ride. On my way to the train I passed a flea market and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a red Lepliage hanging next to some clothes on a rack. I thought it was the sellers bag. I smiled at her and complemented her on the bag. She said that was not her bag and that it was an item for sale. I couldn’t believe the excellent condition it was in. I was ready to pay $100, when she said: “give me $45”. I know I suck….but I bargained…and I got it for $35. Holy wow it is beautiful and an amazing bag. I can’t believe I didn’t get this before. I too put in a bag organizer in it. I totally love your idea to dress it up. I am sure you will be using this bag more in Oregon now. Thank you for your wonderful videos. Longchamp is such a great brand, and Yes, I consider it luxury, not because of the price (interestingly, most people seem to judge an item because of the price tag (and therefore consider it luxury)), but because of its quality. I have three Madeleine bags (two medium sized, one small), as well as some really beautiful and well-made SLGs. And after all, the Parisian company is founded in 1948, so it's quite a while they're around 😊! And, Autumn, if you can order online at the Longchamp online store (it's different from country to country, so I don't know about the U.S.), they do have great sales about twice a year! I could get two of my Madeleine bags, a six-ring keyholder and another SLG 30% off (all colours were included, seasonal colours had a bigger discount than "neutral" colours like black or ivory). If all lines they have were included, I don't know; but I would definitely take a look 🤗!

Love love my La Pliage bags! I have 7 in different sizes and color! 😂 I prefer the neo version to the regular ones as the material is thicker and holds shape better. I mainly use hem for travel and rainy days.

I LOVE this bag, and will probably never use anything else for work! 😁 The water resistent nylon, combined with the security from the zipper and awesome size is a combo that’s hard to match (and specially for that price from quite a «luxurious» warehouse). I never have to worry about documents getting wet, documents flying out if it’s windy (or fall out if my bag falls while driving), and also have enough space for everything I need at work. By now I’ve only got the beautiful light pink that was a seasonal color 1 or 2 years ago, but the fair price (in my opinion) makes it reasonable to get a few more colors so I can switch it up a bit😊 The gorgeous navy or perhaps a personalized one is next up on my wishlist😍
I have two. Believe it or not I used it just now for putting me and my husbands shoes in it for our vacation. Then I dumped out the one with my shoes and used it as a tote since it was raining each afternoon in St Augustine and I did not want to ruin my nice new leather Coach bags. This bag literally saved my other leather bags from ruin. I am totally sold on them.

I got the expandable one during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale about two years ago, which makes it even more useful. It's a great, carefree travel bag. The zip closure makes it even more practical than the Neverfull, for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend.

Well. The Neo Pliage bag with a strap is a small version of yours . I bought that one for a trip to Thailand. I used my samorga organiser from my speedy to give it some shape. After only 3 weeks, the corners were really worn. So I was quiet disappointed. I really love the Pliage sac de voyage( big tote bag with a strap) because you can use it 2 ways, so a strong tote and easy to carry. Thanks for the video

Not the same bag, but I have gone through only three, which says a lot about how well made they are. You did an excellent review. I’ve used your charm hack on mine to dress it up. Also, it’s not marked waterproof, but my belongings have stayed dry even in bad storms. Glad to know you had the same experience.

I definitely want to be an insider!! ha I have never purchased any of these bags but I have wondered why they are so popular. I don't find them particularly attractive but they do look practical. @YotaStyle You might like some of the richer colors like the deep red they have, or the khaki. I agree they aren't the most stylish of bags but if nothing else, the larger-sized Longchamps make great protector bags for your luxury bags when traveling!
I've been watching a lot of videos about the le pliage to make me decide if i should add this to my tote collection or not, but you're the one who said that it did not get your items wet in snow and rain. I finally did it! After hearing you rave about the Le Pliage tote over and over, I just ordered one in Bilberry from NM. I plan on tucking it into my Keepall when I go to NYC for the weekend in early February.
I too put off purchasing. But after I did, I never regretted it. I use them often. Over the years, I've 5 large totes (Neo Black, Beige, Khaki Green and Pale Lavender/Grey don't really know what color it is). I use a small organizer in the totes. I always take one when traveling. I love the tote bag so much I recently purchased a Neo Black Small shoulder/crossbody for use when I travel and am out and about site seeing. Highly, highly recommend!
Longchamp is such a good travel bag. I have zero regrets with it either!! Totally agree with how it stands up in weather. Mine has gotten soaked, been in blizzards etc. and still looks brand new. Great video.
I have quite a few Le Pliage bags in different sizes and colors. I love these bags. I think they're def worth the money, they're well made and last a long time. They hold soooo much, and never feel heavy. There are so many styles and colors, even special editions. I have gotten most of mine from Nordstrom's and they even offer to accept them for repairs if the corners ever fray. They send it to Longchamp for one time free repair. I think they are a very chic casual style. This brand is one of Kate Middleton's favorites!
I’m using the exact same bag today!! It’s my favorite tote. The only reason the NV is a better tote, IMO, is because it has more structure. I don’t love how slouchy the le pliage is, but it’s still a huge favorite.

Because I have the Neo which means (the bag color matches the color of the handles) so my bag is Black with Black handles and that was $190 and it was also a hard pill to swallow as well!! Especially when these bags go on sale from time to time at different department stores. So I waited for Nordstrom’s 40% off last winter, and purchased it for less than $130!! 💕💕💕 LV bags are the only bags I ever purchase at retail value bcz they NEVER go on sale! 😑
I love my Longchamp LE Pliage mini collection. I have the large extendable travel bag with removable shoulder strap which is PERFECT for travelling! I also have a limited edition cat's eyes print same size as yours, and the backpack which is also amazing. I did just sell my small Neo version as the strap wasn't long enough for me to wear cross-body, but I'll definitely be buying more, and recommend them to everyone! 🤩
I love the Le Pliage line. I have a large personalized one that is Bilberry with a fuscia stripe running in the middle. A heart is embroidered on the front and my initials are embossed on the leather tab. I also have the small Le Pliage from the Miaou collection. I use them for work and I think they hold up pretty well. They're comfortable to wear and they hold everything. I don't think anyone can go wrong with a Le Pliage.
Thank you for the review, Ms. Autumn. Longchamp bags are great. They are durable and light. Actually, I have 2 La Pliage bags. A small size and a large size with short handle but with long strap that you could make it a body bag also. I can even hand wash them! Well of course, only the nylon bags.
Great video!! I got my first one for Christmas last year and it’s the same bag you have and I’ve absolutely loved it!! I really feel like it’s so chic and durable and will last a lot time. I do have one little spot on the flap in which the leather is rubbing off but it’s so small that I try not to worry about it. Love love love this bag!

I have a few Longchamps. I really love them. There is another version which is very similar, but with a shoulder strap and I have two of those. I do agree about the flap being irritating, yet even so, I would not be without it because the aesthetic advantage outweighs the endless irritation it causes me! And I agree that when something becomes popular, even 'old hat', it is popular for a reason, often a good one! A friend of mine once accidentally put her Le Pliage through the washing machine and the leather survived perfectly. Though I do not encourage anyone to try it! LOL! Thank you for the video!
Love your videos! I have the same bag that I bought about year ago. Leather is getting better with time, but I have seen that if used a lot the coating in nylon inside doesn’t age well. Overall I love this bag 😍
It would be interesting to find out how well these wear over a year or so with daily teacher hauling. I heard someone else say her LC bag corners wore out and she had to get them repaired. I guess that is a superior quality of the LV Neverfull - probably would not wear out.
I put a super beat up one in the washing machine and it came out like new. Leather stamping is a little less deep now though. Lol. Oh and the lighter colors are lined in white which I much prefer so it's not the black hole problem.
I have two...they are workhorses. The Neo has a crossbody strap which I love. I have LVs that have about 10% leather that costs about 8 times more...hmm
I honestly don’t really see this bag as “luxury bag”, I think the price is suitable for its material quality and its resistant to wear-and-tear, especially if one got it on sale (which often happens).
It’s a great bag yes pricy but if you need it repair Lognchomp will do it for free and mail it back to you. I have a small and medium one will purchase the larger size in navy blue

I do love the practicality of these bags....I've had several. My only gripe about them is that the rubbery lining always disintegrates (albeit very slowly) with the ones I have owned; usually around the handles. Having said that, I am still buying them 20 years later, so it must be doing something right. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I am now really into the 'Day et Mikkelsen' totes (Danish brand), which are not only perfect for traveling, but you can pop them in the washing machine.
I have the same black shopping model. " Marque déposée" is french and means : registered / copyright. That the company had the name registered and is the owner of it.
I bought one in gray on a trip to London in 2018.. Two cons for me: 1) the inside being a big black hole. I can never find anything! 2) the pocket opening is too close to the top of the bag. It needs a zipper. However, I've used it almost everyday since I bought it.

I like my Le Pliage, but I actually don't like the "pliage" element. I mean, I might fold it up, but I'm not actually going to snap that snap. Having that extra snap at the bottom just creates a weak point in the fabric, and you have to worry about the snap breaking. On mine, the plastic disc on the inside of the snap broke, and now I have this jagged piece of plastic poking into the interior of my bag.
Someone told me that if there's any fraying, like on the corners, you can take it to the store and they will mend it for you. Not sure if that's true but hope to find out soon.
you never say which tote is that? small, medium, large? I have just received it, and the first htought was disappointment, as I bought large, and wondering how big are small and medium, if the large is so small....I dont understand. It has the same dimensions as yours,....

Autumn Beckman I did! No reason to pay $145 when this looked in really nice condition. It hasn’t arrived yet tho. We travel & this color is perfect & wont show dirt. Hubby won’t be embarrassed to carry it for me either, due to the color of it. Lol.
I don't recomend this bag ... I purchased mine from the official website and after used it a handful of times and I promise I'm very careful with my bags , mine developed a hole in one of the corners !!! And the other corners are in pretty bad shape! Such a bummer and disappointment for a brand that is supposed to be durable 🙄

Longchamp is such a good travel bag. I have zero regrets with it either!! Totally agree with how it stands up in weather. Mine has gotten soaked, been in blizzards etc. and still looks brand new. Great video.
I have quite a few Le Pliage bags in different sizes and colors. I love these bags. I think they're def worth the money, they're well made and last a long time. They hold soooo much, and never feel heavy. There are so many styles and colors, even special editions. I have gotten most of mine from Nordstrom's and they even offer to accept them for repairs if the corners ever fray. They send it to Longchamp for one time free repair. I think they are a very chic casual style. This brand is one of Kate Middleton's favorites!

I’m using the exact same bag today!! It’s my favorite tote. The only reason the NV is a better tote, IMO, is because it has more structure. I don’t love how slouchy the le pliage is, but it’s still a huge favorite.

Because I have the Neo which means (the bag color matches the color of the handles) so my bag is Black with Black handles and that was $190 and it was also a hard pill to swallow as well!! Especially when these bags go on sale from time to time at different department stores. So I waited for Nordstrom’s 40% off last winter, and purchased it for less than $130!! 💕💕💕 LV bags are the only bags I ever purchase at retail value bcz they NEVER go on sale! 😑
I love my Longchamp LE Pliage mini collection. I have the large extendable travel bag with removable shoulder strap which is PERFECT for travelling! I also have a limited edition cat's eyes print same size as yours, and the backpack which is also amazing. I did just sell my small Neo version as the strap wasn't long enough for me to wear cross-body, but I'll definitely be buying more, and recommend them to everyone! 🤩
I love the Le Pliage line. I have a large personalized one that is Bilberry with a fuscia stripe running in the middle. A heart is embroidered on the front and my initials are embossed on the leather tab. I also have the small Le Pliage from the Miaou collection. I use them for work and I think they hold up pretty well. They're comfortable to wear and they hold everything. I don't think anyone can go wrong with a Le Pliage.
Thank you for the review, Ms. Autumn. Longchamp bags are great. They are durable and light. Actually, I have 2 La Pliage bags. A small size and a large size with short handle but with long strap that you could make it a body bag also. I can even hand wash them! Well of course, only the nylon bags.

Great video!! I got my first one for Christmas last year and it’s the same bag you have and I’ve absolutely loved it!! I really feel like it’s so chic and durable and will last a lot time. I do have one little spot on the flap in which the leather is rubbing off but it’s so small that I try not to worry about it. Love love love this bag!

I have a few Longchamps. I really love them. There is another version which is very similar, but with a shoulder strap and I have two of those. I do agree about the flap being irritating, yet even so, I would not be without it because the aesthetic advantage outweighs the endless irritation it causes me! And I agree that when something becomes popular, even 'old hat', it is popular for a reason, often a good one! A friend of mine once accidentally put her Le Pliage through the washing machine and the leather survived perfectly. Though I do not encourage anyone to try it! LOL! Thank you for the video!

I have the same bag that I bought about year ago. Leather is getting better with time, but I have seen that if used a lot the coating in nylon inside doesn’t age well.

My daughter has this bag and she uses it all the time.
It would be interesting to find out how well these wear over a year or so with daily teacher hauling. I heard someone else say her LC bag corners wore out and she had to get them repaired. I guess that is a superior quality of the LV Neverfull - probably would not wear out.
I put a super beat up one in the washing machine and it came out like new. Leather stamping is a little less deep now though. Lol. Oh and the lighter colors are lined in white which I much prefer so it's not the black hole problem.

I honestly don’t really see this bag as “luxury bag”, I think the price is suitable for its material quality and its resistant to wear-and-tear, especially if one got it on sale (which often happens).

It’s a great bag yes pricy but if you need it repair Lognchomp will do it for free and mail it back to you. I have a small and medium one will purchase the larger size in navy blue

I do love the practicality of these bags....I've had several. My only gripe about them is that the rubbery lining always disintegrates (albeit very slowly) with the ones I have owned; usually around the handles. Having said that, I am still buying them 20 years later, so it must be doing something right. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I am now really into the 'Day et Mikkelsen' totes (Danish brand), which are not only perfect for traveling, but you can pop them in the washing machine.

I have the same black shopping model. " Marque déposée" is french and means : registered / copyright. That the company had the name registered and is the owner of it.
I bought one in gray on a trip to London in 2018.. Two cons for me: 1) the inside being a big black hole. I can never find anything! 2) the pocket opening is too close to the top of the bag. It needs a zipper. However, I've used it almost everyday since I bought it.
You're right about the pocket. I've started using an organizer in the bag and it really helps. I'll do a video about it but I'm not sure when yet.

I like my Le Pliage, but I actually don't like the "pliage" element. I mean, I might fold it up, but I'm not actually going to snap that snap. Having that extra snap at the bottom just creates a weak point in the fabric, and you have to worry about the snap breaking. On mine, the plastic disc on the inside of the snap broke, and now I have this jagged piece of plastic poking into the interior of my bag.
The nylon is waterproof but the leather part is not. It will wear off!!

Autumn Beckman I did! No reason to pay $145 when this looked in really nice condition. It hasn’t arrived yet tho. We travel & this color is perfect & wont show dirt. Hubby won’t be embarrassed to carry it for me either, due to the color of it. Lol.

I don't recomend this bag ... I purchased mine from the official website and after used it a handful of times and I promise I'm very careful with my bags , mine developed a hole in one of the corners !!! And the other corners are in pretty bad shape! Such a bummer and disappointment for a brand that is supposed to be durable 🙄
