Great video, thanks for sharing. I’m trying to find out if a neo xs bag I’ve just bought is authentic? Everything looks good apart from the button closure is shiny, more than my other bags plus it wasn’t quite straight. I was able to twist the button into the right position but with my others they won’t turn. I paid over what the neo xs used to be sold for as it’s discontinued and this one was sold as unused second hand. What a nightmare I can’t find a video on this exact bag, not sure if I should try and return it but I love it. I just don’t want to realise I’ve paid over the price it was sold for for a fake! Any suggestions please? Thanks
There are also bags made in Romania, Morocco and Mauritius. Not just China, France and Tunisia. Its also stated in their Faq’s in their page. Mine is made in Romania bought from the store itself. ☺️
I have a new Le Pilate in cognac that has a gold button, but gunmetal zip pull. This seems odd to me but the retailer (Kogan) has assured me it’s authentic. What are your thoughts?
@@MeticulousShopper Thanks for your reply. I’ve actually seen it more and more recently. I don’t love it. There’s a pic on the Longchamp site. So, I feel confident it is genuine but…still don’t love the mix ‘n’ match hardware.
I just ordered an authentic Le Pliage Neo from Nordstrom’s Rack and it says Made in Romania. Just FYI. I saw another youtuber who had an authentic bag that said Made in Romania as well. So, I would be interested in how to authenticate a Neo since it’s a solid color …
The firm Longchamp manufactures its bags not only in France, but also in Romania and China to save costs. So it can be an original Longchamp bag by Longchamp, but unfortunately made in China or Romania. If the Longchamp bag was made in Romania or China, the selling price is much too high. The bag you bought is too expensive. I don't like the fact that the premium brand Longchamp has its bags produced in countries with cheap costs. I don't like that the customer pays an expensive price as if the bag were manufactured in France.
I bought a preloved, not used Longchamp bag way back, I also never used it. Now that I decided to use it, also checked on authenticity. Everything else seems to be fine: stitching, leather, buttons, tags. Only thing is that the logo on the flap does not show on the inside of the flap. My bag is a cabas with no zippers, now I'm wondering if it's fake. It's an older model, so hard to find accurate information. Anyone else having this issue?
I found one I really like on Facebook for 120, I haven’t got it yet but is that a good price? I’ve searched online and that’s the best one I’ve seen yet My granny has one years ago and she lived by it so I want one
Hi! You could get a brand new one for $145+tax, so I honestly wouldn't pay that much for a used one. If you do choose to buy it, make sure to ask about how worn the corners are and whether it's clean on the inside.
Hey , I’m just wondering if anybody would be able to help me with my speculation . As I previously bought a black longchamp from their website .but also a couple months after I bought a navy/blue second hand one from Vinted . I’ve checked everything on the video and it all seems legit apart from the the leather . It is still 2mm think however the leather seems a lot flimsier which I’m not sure if it’s down to just being worn or if it’s a fake . So I’m just wondering if anyone who has an authentic longchamp , is if the handles have became a lot more loose and bendy? ❤
I have a used bag that is of great quality and it has all the characteristics mentioned on here except that the letters stamped on the back of the flap look odd to me and I don't see any accents. Shopping is in quotes but that's about it. If it is a fake it is an excellent fake. Everything else seems of really good quality - leather, fabric/material, stiching. If you have any info about the letters/name stamped I would appreciate your input.
Ok, so I believe I can see only one accent. First one on DEPOSE. The other two look like they may be there but hidden under the stitches and/or blended with the diamond pattern. Don't know if that is another sign. As the print Le pliage "shopping" - modele depose is not centered between two stitches and are closer to the upper one. Also, I did not see any info if it makes a difference what kind of font is used. Cheers

Hi recently i bought le pliage original small shorthandle in colour beige. Bought from personal shopper who claims that she bought the bag in france. But when i see the inside the bag, there is no tag attached on the side of the bag. But it matches all the criteria that you mentioned in the video. I want to believe that this bag is authentic, but it doesn’t come with the tag. What’s your opinion on this? Anyone encounter the same situation?
Wow. Thanks for this. I didn’t even know. But i love Longchamp. Have a couple but my daughter took it from me. With no permission. Ok she stole it. Hahaha. Glad to find your channel new friend here.
I have lowkey anxiety because silly me decided to purchase on poshmark-I do own authentic ones as well but this was at a really good price and now I’m kind of regretting it even though their description says authentic. I’ll just have to wait and see until I get it in the mail. 😢 their pics were a little blurry and I’m messaging the seller to send me better pics. No response 😂😮
Update at 14:50 - Bags are also made in Romania, Morocco and Mauritius.
Mine was made in Tunisia.. bought it in 2016🤔✖️
Which BAG is the Authentic and which one is the fake? Great job in describing, but it is not clear what is a fake and what is a real.
Both are authentic
@@MeticulousShopper Thanks!
Yes because I was confused
@@MeticulousShopperyo diría que el segundo...es Fake, pero yo no soy un experto 😅

You might try asking in the purseforum! They sometimes can help authenticate purchases.

There's an article linked in the description box that discusses the stamping. I discuss the stamping in this video at 6:25
