The dark souls 3 anti cheat isn't all to blame as you say, but I'm sure if you're even just a bit of a souls fan you understand there are some jokes we like to play on quite often. (Personally I recently finished reading all of berserk, which was pretty funny as I turned each page thinking "I've seen that area in dark souls!") And regarding IQ tests they often aren't a great indicator of someone's intelligence since they usually don't pertain to the person's interests nor expertise.

it always surprises me that the cutscenes are actually ran in engine instead of just pre-processed cutscenes that just apply to the scene when you get into a fadetoblack loading screen of sort.

Also seeing the Maidens in the ending do an off-camera animation, and how the ashen one steps on the Firekeeper's head in a more fully-animated way than we eventually got to see, makes me think there were probably some late-development changes to the camera angles in the endings at least? Hard to be sure though, of course.

Has some conclusions ever been made from the odd persistence, in all souls, of characters having an oral cavity with tongue and full animatable dental arrays, despite not talking or even opening their mouths. A bit much for just in case or some lightning purpose I think. Could there maybe even be stray code of speaking animation in any of the games?
I know nobody cares but I immediately knew the soundtrack in the start was the Abyss Watchers from a slight chime of the bell before closing the video on accident. So iconic...

Love how economical they are with their cut scene animation. Where there is something extra there was probably supposed to be a wider shot but they discovered it looks better close up. Also the ariendel cutscene, the first model probably includes the chalce as a part of the model, then they switch to a free moving model without the chalace thing
Not from this game, but my favorite bit of this sort of trivia is that in Sekiro's Shura ending, freecam reveals that Owl is carrying Genichiro's severed head.
I can never decide if Ocelotte being invisible in the final release is cooler than actually showing the splatter baby himself. On one hand the question of Ocelotte being a figment of Ocieros's madness, an incorporeal experiment, or hiding from his father is interesting, on the other hand holy shit, splatter baby.
I love the ambiguity it brings, not knowing if the baby is here, or if Oceiros has just gone totally crazy (Even though I'm convinced the baby is here)

I'm partial to the idea that Prince Lothric is actually Ocelotte in the release version: he is portrayed as one who was born to be great, and we can see that he is physically disfigured in a somewhat similar manner to Oceiros (at least in terms of his limbs). As well, there is very little reference to Ocelotte by name otherwise, with only the description for the Divine Blessing and Oceiros' dialogue indicating his existence. Royalty and Nobility can sometimes be referred to by the name of their holding as their title, as with the famous Duke Wellington. In that sense, "Prince Lothric" would simply a title referring to his position as Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Lothric, where his actual name would be Ocelotte.

It's interesting to see how they script the final cutscenes, since the use of the cutscene camera lets them get away with a lot of things you'd think are a bit off. It gives you an appreciation of how nice the final scenes look, given the assets and engine used.
i'm always so thankful for the content you put out there for those of us who don't have the means or time to look into small details like this even if at the end of the day it's not particularly groundbreaking. i really look forward to seeing what you put out in the future, keep up the good work!!
First time I saw the scene of Gael standing upright after the halfway point, I noticed the fact that he was lifting himself while gripping his sword in a reverse grip, yet as soon as he pulls it away suddenly his grip inverts and he's holding it properly, despite being animated as if it was all the same motion. Always annoyed the hell out of me whenever I saw this cutscene again.
I tend to take for granted the things youtubers show me as it just being TH-cam and it’s all knowing, but this reminded me, you and all the others do this so we can see, so thank you for this

FROM are experts of using clever camera angles to cover the transition between many smaller disjointed animations. If they were to transition to making these games in VR they would require a very different mindset to create cutscenes like these.

Honestly, I think it's nothing more than some sort of twisted homage to the original abyss watcher. Which isn't hard to imagine given that every aspect of their armor is related to Artorias in some small way.
It is easy to skip, as you need to head to the left of the massive alter right before the Deacons, and then also open the huge doors. You can reach past where the trap is and never know it was a trap if you don't open the door before going onto the bridge. In usual patches fashion he apologizes, offers a gift, then starts selling you overpriced stuff. You need to go back to the first doorway shortcut leading out of the bonfire room, and enter the large door to up the ladder to get onto the other side of the walkway to talk with him and raise it again.

I bet if you go underground during the Gael bleeding scene you'll see an alternate version of his sword hidden. It changes between phases.
