So I went and explored every cutscene in Dark Souls 3 using the debug camera looking for unseen secrets, off camera weirdness, and whatever cool stuff I could find. One of the longer hacking videos I've done but a lot to cover so that's okay. I hope you find something interesting here!

Is sad to know that probably there isn't anything new to know about this game anymore but all of us had a nice time watching all this videos trough out the years, I really want to know more about the unused mechanics of the rituals specially that scene of the solar eclipse with the flying lizards, that was just breath taking.Either way, keep the hard work sir, your content its amazing :)
I think the Lothric in the ground is the one you fight in phase 2. That's why he follows Lorian

So obviously no ground-breaking lore hidden off-camera, but I do enjoy seeing the bonkers poses some of the characters pull. Also seeing the Maidens in the ending do an off-camera animation, and how the ashen one steps on the Firekeeper's head in a more fully-animated way than we eventually got to see, makes me think there were probably some late-development changes to the camera angles in the endings at least? Hard to be sure though, of course.

While speaking of the unseen.. Has some conclusions ever been made from the odd persistence, in all souls, of characters having an oral cavity with tongue and full animatable dental arrays, despite not talking or even opening their mouths. A bit much for just in case or some lightning purpose I think. Could there maybe even be stray code of speaking animation in any of the games?

Kinda a low iq comment, people who have curse daggers get banned too but have made prepped for it so can keep coming back + they know more ways of dodging bans etc. Not ds3 anti cheats fault

Anyone who's had to deal with a soft ban knows about the easy way to circumvent it, steam family share.
The dark souls 3 anti cheat isn't all to blame as you say, but I'm sure if you're even just a bit of a souls fan you understand there are some jokes we like to play on quite often.
(Personally I recently finished reading all of berserk, which was pretty funny as I turned each page thinking "I've seen that area in dark souls!")
And regarding IQ tests they often aren't a great indicator of someone's intelligence since they usually don't pertain to the person's interests nor expertise.

After seeing the vibrating Lothric foot, the twin princes fight changes from the most dramatic to most hilarious one, you just can't take that cutscene seriously anymore.

it always surprises me that the cutscenes are actually ran in engine instead of just pre-processed cutscenes that just apply to the scene when you get into a fadetoblack loading screen of sort.
They have to, otherwise you couldn't be able to see your custom character with custom armor
Bruno Gagnon and then serious cutscenes wouldn't be undermined by the horrific abominations some players call characters.

First time I saw the scene of Gael standing upright after the halfway point, I noticed the fact that he was lifting himself while gripping his sword in a reverse grip, yet as soon as he pulls it away suddenly his grip inverts and he's holding it properly, despite being animated as if it was all the same motion. Always annoyed the hell out of me whenever I saw this cutscene again.
Love how economical they are with their cut scene animation. Where there is something extra there was probably supposed to be a wider shot but they discovered it looks better close up.
Also the ariendel cutscene, the first model probably includes the chalce as a part of the model, then they switch to a free moving model without the chalace thing
I bet if you go underground during the Gael bleeding scene you'll see an alternate version of his sword hidden. It changes between phases.
It's interesting to see how they script the final cutscenes, since the use of the cutscene camera lets them get away with a lot of things you'd think are a bit off. It gives you an appreciation of how nice the final scenes look, given the assets and engine used.
Also interesting they use cuts and manipulate the models for the scene instead of playing an animation out and adjusting camera angles later

One is a very low-detail 2D image of what seems like Anor Londo. The other one is the low LOD version of Lothric Castle.
Some random place in the ringed city. It has nothing to do with one of the other places in game.

I have always wondered, what is the historical significance of the shape of this hat/head piece.
It appears in several other games as well. Final Fantasy 9's Freya comes to mind.
Honestly, I think it's nothing more than some sort of twisted homage to the original abyss watcher. Which isn't hard to imagine given that every aspect of their armor is related to Artorias in some small way.

Okay so characters SAY filianores name and you pronounce it FILIANORAY
You know, I'm not the type to get triggered by things like that but there's no room to mistake that name, I don't care even if it's your first time ever seeing it, the brain should instantly be able to recognize what the name is, that would be like if I called Gwyn "Gwine".
I can never decide if Ocelotte being invisible in the final release is cooler than actually showing the splatter baby himself. On one hand the question of Ocelotte being a figment of Ocieros's madness, an incorporeal experiment, or hiding from his father is interesting, on the other hand holy shit, splatter baby.
I love the ambiguity it brings, not knowing if the baby is here, or if Oceiros has just gone totally crazy (Even though I'm convinced the baby is here)
the real intention of the developers was to show how Oceiros was consumed by madness killing his own son.. we cant see Ocelotte because of censorship
@@leonpijudo6875 I wouldn't say that, remember Souls prioritize elegance and implication over the explicit. In that sense if they're going to depict filicide it's an elegant slight of hand to only imply the action and let the player's imagination fill in the blanks.
I'm partial to the idea that Prince Lothric is actually Ocelotte in the release version: he is portrayed as one who was born to be great, and we can see that he is physically disfigured in a somewhat similar manner to Oceiros (at least in terms of his limbs). As well, there is very little reference to Ocelotte by name otherwise, with only the description for the Divine Blessing and Oceiros' dialogue indicating his existence.
Royalty and Nobility can sometimes be referred to by the name of their holding as their title, as with the famous Duke Wellington. In that sense, "Prince Lothric" would simply a title referring to his position as Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Lothric, where his actual name would be Ocelotte.
@@Coypop good point, but as far as i remember in the alpha version of Dark Souls 3 (shown on this channel) with Vordt of the Boreal Valley with burned babies hanging over his body, it seems that their real intentions weren´t that elegant as Dark Souls 1 .
And lets not forget that Berserk is the devs inspirations
FROM are experts of using clever camera angles to cover the transition between many smaller disjointed animations.
If they were to transition to making these games in VR they would require a very different mindset to create cutscenes like these.

I didn't know THAT was what happened when you kill the Fire Keeper after summoning her!!!!!!! I thought she just died like usual and the screen faded black. Nothing else.
