A belt color is mostly a rough indicator of how good a grappler is by way of credentials. Not always an accurate indicator of your skills. In this case, you were well prepared and neutralized your opponent's strengths. In this case, you've obviously clocked way more hours on the mat compared to the average white belt. Well done! I enjoyed seeing how you documented this.

Regarding your first sentence - you cannot generalize a universal significance to belt level, anymore than you can generalize what all belt systems and their underlying standards are. It is all relative to each individual school/instructor. In some schools (often with a heavy competition focus) belt level really can be directly tied to practical skill, and a blue belt there could easily be a purple belt elsewhere. Other schools can favor other standards, such as time in grade, technique, attitude, etc., and belt level means something else. In the end, what you are claiming is true, but only in some of the places, some of the time.

I started BJJ in 2004. The level of today's blue belts are like that of purple belts back when I started. BJJ has evolved so much. Everything is better. Guard passing, guard retention, submissions.. With the exception of takedowns (which is the only part of BJJ that has got worse).
Amazing to see you beat two brown belts after 14 months of training. I've seen brown belts been caught before by white belts and blue belts in training, but never seen a white belt do this good in competition. Purple belt here/former high school wrestler here. Some of your techniques were easily purple/brown level. I suspect in the gi a lot of those moves would not have worked with strong grips from your opponent, but you move really well. Not just for a white belt but just move really well. I have no doubt ur going to be one of those blues that beats browns regularly very very soon. 8 years ago I trained with this purple (I was white then) who in the gi got beat by most purples at his gym, but in nogi could beat almost all the browns and gave the blacks a tough time. He did a lot of wrestling, and like you, moved really really well. I considered him a black belt level comp in nogi. Look forward to following this talented young guy's career!

Coming from a guy who doesn’t understand all the competition rules of different BJJ organizations but knows wrestling I think every grappling competition should start on your feet and you give up points for giving up your back. I understand BJJ and having someone in your guard can be advantageous and being in someone’s guard isn’t a dominant position. That said a lot can happen going from standing to the ground. Also if it’s done for sport like in a competition or event it’s boring to watch someone laying on their back waiting for the competitor to be the aggressor and engage them.

Depending on your instructor a belt can mean very little. Some schools hand them out to anyone who can afford it where as some test for it and some give your belts when they feel you are at a certain level. In that sense a belt can give the illusion that someone is of a certain level when in fact that may not be the case. Essentially it can act as a poker face.
On the other hand, martial arts that don’t originate from Asia usually don’t use belts such as wrestling, boxing etc.

Idk if any one saw Rolls Gracie commented below. Pretty interesting comment from a pretty experienced person. That being said, congrats. Decent guard game. BJJ skill levels at a specific rank fluctuate widely it seems dependingon where you train. I've seen an AOJ white belt pull guard, berimbolo, and sub his opponent while I was reffing. It is possible that you honestly only trained a year and got to a decent skill level. Possible, but not probable. Naga's expert divisions vary greatly in skilled opponents depending on the tournament. You did really some nice guard retention and transitions. Nothing insanely over the top so it's not totally unbelievable you're a white belt. The only thing I REALLY find suspect is it seems several of your videos are titled "how a white belt won expert", or "blue belt vs black belt." Kind of seems like you're fixated on this idea of bragging about beating( or getting close to) higher ranks. Like looking for that "wow" from people. You seem like a talented player with a bright JJ future. I would just scrap that fixation title, and just put up your vids. Youre narrating is cool. Showing your JJ skills is nice. But something just comes across super off when you often title your videos with those kind of "bragging" titles then try and downplay by poking fun at yourself. It still comes through regardless of the downplay. Keep on training hard, you're definitely on the right path and don't worry about the belt rank so much and you'll be all good! Congrats!
