Well, here are some tips for you, then:
1) You *badly* needed Bullet speed. You would actually have killed over double the amount of players with enough of it. For most types of tanks, you will want to max that one out.
2) In fact, your health already regens automatically while out of combat for a while. Health regen only helps for regen *in* combat, and you usually need a lot of it to make a difference. Personally, I say get only 1 or 2 points at it, and only if you plan on being on the center a long time.
3) In Domination mode, the objective is to kill and capture the big, yelow tanks you once saw. All 4 of them. And no, there is no yellow team: what you saw was the Arena Closer, a device currently used to log you off the lobby when a team wins.
4) You say you want upfront power..? *Gunner upgrade* is good for it, and easy to use too.
5) You are taking too long to spend upgrade points at low level. Spend them as soon as possible on Bullet penetration or Damage, so as to destroy blocks faster and, by relation, level up faster.
6) You should get at *least* 3 or 4 Bullet speed points before maxing out Penetration or damage. There is no point maxing those out if your bullets cannot even hit players to begin with.
That about covers the basics. I doubt my personal set-up is optimal, but it works very well: Max Bullet penetration, damage, reload and speed, and the rest of points in Movement speed. Note that it is purely an offensive set-up; if you want Health regen or max health instead, that works too.

jack here I know your not the best at the game, so try this build! Bullet damage: max Bullet speed: max Bullet penetration: max reload speed: max rest in Health. you don't need health regen because health regen is for regen in battle. but if your not in combat you will regenerate

You don't take damage until you move or shoot after spawning in and your tank flashes to show you're invulnerable. Best to get your available upgrades immediately during that period and it'll help when you spawn near a ton of dudes.

jaaaack, one of the best and *definitely* the speediest tank is Tri-Angle! it's under the flank guard branch!
(extra tips: fully upgrade movement speed, body damage, and health regen to zoom into other duders and kill them super fast)

u need max reload,bullet speed,penetration, and damage for every class besides the one that tries to kill people with body damage. The rest goes into health and regen. I've played diep.io for 15 hours+ so I know what I'm doing ;)

When you hit lvl30 you get an upgrade point every 3 lvls till you hit lvl45.
Press E for Auto-Fire.
Bullet Speed makes your bullets move faster and travel further.
The more bullets you can produce the less damage they do compared to having less bullets.
Try not to completely upgrade Health Regen.
Having Movement Speed really helps in running and dodging.
Shooting pushes you back, so shooting behind you to run away helps in escape.
Firing in the direction you are trying to move slows you down a lot.
Body damage increases the amount of damage you do when running into things.
Reload makes you shoot faster, try combining that with bullet speed.
hmmm....I think that is everything I can help with. Anyone else want to add anything?
Edit 1: Apparently Bullet pen is the Bullet's health and Body damage also decreases damage taken along with how much damage you do by running into things.
Edit 2: Also, the yellow guys are [Arena Closer], they come when the arena you are playing in shuts down for maintenance or when one of the two teams win. They show up in tandem with the message [Arena closed: No players can join], when you die you will be unable to rejoin that instance and instead when you load the game will be in a completely different Arena.
Edit 3: Squares 20 points (was 10) - Triangles 50 points (was 25) - Pentagons 300 points - Alpha Pentagons 6000 points
Edit 4: Overseer/Overlord have Red Triangles that follow the mouse to attack and they constantly spit them out till you have 8. Necromancer has Orange squares that work like [Overseer/Overlord triangles], but are weaker, can have a huge amount of them, and can only get them by killing [Yellow Squares].
I always go for maxed out bullet speed, reload and damage I would then spend the rest of my points on say speed or Health regen. And I alwaays go for the gunner class. With that tatic I usually get on the leader board

Jack if you shoot left and move right, then you get a little boosty boost, that way you can not only run away faster, you can shoot some of their bullets and be less dead. :)

Jack the best kit for diep.io in my opinion is the necromancer to get the necromancer,you have to pick the sniper then pick the over seeer when you are level 35 then wait till you are level 45 to pick the necromancer.When you hit the yellow squares with your body they turn into like you minions and they will follow your cursor to attack so you move your cursor onto another tank and they will kill it for you.The necromancer is an op kit.

reload: faster fire rate body damage: take less damage from shapes bullet speed: bullets go faster max health: more health health regen: gain health over time movement speed: you go faster bullet penetration:bullets can go through anything(not walls) FYI:overlord is the best of all the tanks. It runs into squares turns them orange and then you can control them.

I think one of the biggest problems with games like this is that everyone is a douche. Like you have these guys with thousands of points and a guy with like 20 will come by and the guy with thousands of points will go out of his way to kill the 20 point guy. There is no real benefit to it, it gives you like 1% of your points so its literally nothing but that guy went out of his way to do it anyways because hes a douche

I totally agree! While i was playing i was thinking of a text to send to the developers regarding that, for the newbies to have more of a chance and less of a shitty time! People are so disrespectful in this game! If i'm high level and a newbie spawns next to me, i kind of follow him and protect him just to make sure he has chance to do something before dying to these douchebags. Really, you don't even get score by killing noobs, so why chase and kill them like that if not for pure evil and bad charactism?

If you go for body damage, also hit up health and regen, if you go for bullet damage then hit up reload and bullet speed. Despite the name, reload just increases the rate of fire and bullet speed increases the distance bullets travel before vanishing.

My advice for upgrading would be this;
Full bullet penetration and damage
upgrade reload half way
bullet speed to about 2/3 fully upgradedupgrade max health a lot, and movement a little if you feel you need it
since you like bullets in one direction, upgrade to 'Twin' and then stay in this tank until level 45.
then upgrade to 'Triple Shot' then immediately to 'Triplet'
This is usually pretty strong. hope it helps

Jack doesn't know that the pink triangles are in the middle. Along with if you don't move by yourself after spawning, then your invincibility will last so you can upgrade movement speed and max health so you can escape.

Hello jack I hope you read this. I got some hints for ya. When your trying to go fast and there no enemies beside your. Shoot your bullets the opposite direction your going. You bullets have a recoil so it kinda boosts you. Also upgrade sniper. Once you do you just keeps killing blocks until you lvl up to the next tank. One of the next tanks is a tank that can summon spikes that follow your mouse. Upgrade bullet speed, ALL THE WAY, so that your spikes move faster.if you don't pick that tank, remember that you got an auto shoot. Just click E. Hope ya read this

Also use bullet speed so you can catch people more easily

i like sniper a lot too
destroyer is even more fun. you can hit people off screen by accident and you have to aim just as well as sniper when you're going for a close target
I use be necromancer so I use sniper but I prefer twin
