@@edkrang4491he would be next to the drums so he can be as in time with them as possible because the bass is part of the rhythm section along with the drums and so there is zero delay between the drums and him he stands right next to them, quite a common thing in general.
Sometimes Ed and Phils backup vocals can be almost as hauntingly beautiful as Thom's, this was one of those performances. They were for sure all, on the same wave length that night lol Thom's a Daddy here, a real Daddy, what did you think I meant? Keke
The best quote about Thom Yorke that I have ever heard was by Noel gallagher. This isn't exact but it was something along the lines of "Thom Yorke could shit in a light bulb and it would be critically acclaimed"
Don't miss them when you have the chance. Apart from having a genius in the studio like Nigel Godrich, live they have their longtime sound engineer Jim Warren, another sound wizard. Greetings from Argentina.
Que buena versión de fake plastic trees, es perfecta. Gracias a quien subió esto. Es por eso que internet es un milagro, ver y escuchar esto, que puede hacerte sentir tan bien es un milagro en estos días. 🙏🏼
I remember after this song came out there was this phenomenon for a while of indie bands having extra toms players. My friends would joke they had a “lead” drummer.
They put Colin in an uncomfortable position... I feel really bad for him, he looks a bit distressed having been pushed forward and not being able to see Phil..=(
@@jospliff they just mean that usually Colin is pretty far back on the stage, facing the drums (as it's important for bass players and drummers to stay in time with each other)
Hail to the people who put this here!
poor Colin, he couldn't hide next to the drums
HAHAH XD
😆
What's this implying /referring to? I've seen him do it, but is there a reason... I mean is it a "thing"?
@@edkrang4491 Check all radiohead lives. Somehow the camera never focuses him. The goat of being invisible.

It made me laugh a little but everything you say is true.
The backup wails on the Live in the Basement version of Weird Fishes are pretty haunting!
Thom is definitely an underrated guitarist which I guess happens when you’re the third guitar player in Radiohead.
I’m not so sure that he is underrated. He’s held in pretty high regard.

Man. There is gonna be come a day I’m gonna miss seeing these guys. Been following since “we” were all kids.
I'll probably never see them live and this breaks my heart
me too
This is one of the best televised performances of FPT. Hands down. 🧡
I almost forgot to see this today
Whoooof. Absolutely lights out good.

It took me a decade of listening to this song to get through it without being brought to tears. Wonderful live performance. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for commenting and watching
Colin smiling at Jonny @8:38 :>

Would not have expected an old jazz archtop to be used forna track like this, fair play thom!
Immediate
Johnny Greenwood, ladies and gentlemen.
Colin's basslines driving the song beautifully

Just cause you feel it, doesn't mean it's there 🙏
Radiohead - GOAT
gracias!!
Cool 👍
Cara um detalhe me chama a atenção nas apresentações do Thom Yorke, ele é tão dramático e intenso, e eu gosto disso.

Hail to the thief😊

phil is great 🙂👍
Jonny Greenwood is for Radiohead what Legolas is for Lord of the Rings jajajaa
HAHAHHAAJAJAJA XDDDDD that's true
Slipknot's percussionists are drooling at this 😅
Why you not get copyright?? :,)
of course I do get it, it's horrible I have downloaded several videos because of copyright, but hey, no way
😄
Tom would probably appear in lots of those dodgy "best guitarist ever lists" but the poor fella plays in Radiohead
I don't get it

This is so confusing. I don't understand any of this
what thing?
@@nerolives I don't know. It think the whole thing is a bit confusing. The blue lighting, the words they are singing. Who are these people?
Likewise, the release of There There feels like a couple of years ago but it seems it was 21. What's going on?
Who knows where the time goes...
It's called "music"
And to think Jonny couldn't play anything when they started On A Friday and actually faked playing keyboards at first😊
