ooooooh. I’ve been clipping the whole nail in one go, going along the rim. I think that may have caused some of the nails on both of my middle fingers to slightly cave in on the very edges. I can’t imagine feeling comfortable with the staggered method you showed, but I wil ltry!

I was planning to go to a salon and have them cut and shape them so I can just keep up on them, but this is definitely more helpful (even though it does take some time). I have a file very similar to yours, but have read that a glass file is supposed to be the best to use, do you recommend? And do you use it the same as the metal one?

Funny Girl I have a tip: avoid most "men's" skincare. It tends to be really harsh, have toxic chemicals, and often have fragrance which harms the skin. You can find gentle drugstore "women's" skincare, though the overall cost is more.

Use a glass nail file, and use it regularly.
I am going for elongated nail style, roughly 0.5 to 1 cm from the edge of fingers in length.
And buffing block is meant for the the top of the nail to make it shiny and even.

It really bugs me how he just saws back and forth when filing. You should only go in one direction so you don't damage your nails.
When filing you should only go in one direction, not back and forth. Choose and direction and stick with it.
