Any new subscribers or viewers, I recommend checking out Ilona's trucking-life series. It's essentially an autobiographical account of Ilona's career but with it so much more. Including all the ups and downs, the fun, the precarious moments, plus heartwarming stories of resilience and determination as a rare 'woman trucker' in a male-dominated industry back in the 70's-onwards. Ilona dealt with some disgusting workplace attitudes, many of us would have given up and quit. But as we know Ilona fights for the life she wants and encourages us all to do the same. At its conclusion, I felt like I'd watched a character-driven film or read a really good book. Sorry, this message is also to you Ilona - I still think your life would make an inspirational movie. Thanks for continuing to share your time with us!
Thank you for your kind thoughts. There are 13 Trucking Life videos buried somewhere in this channel. If you click on the sunflowers it will take you to a catalogue of all the videos I have posted. I still fight for the life I want, and will make my own choices on where it is going.
Ilona, you’re videos are everything I’ve been watching you for the last 6 months or so and you’re sense of ‘let’s keep going and get things done’ have really inspired me to live my darn life, and get out of debt. Keep being you you’re my inspiration
Please try your very hardest to get out of debt. There is no freedom until you can say I don't owe anybody anything. Cut your spending down to the very barest of essentials. Food, roof over your head, transport to work.
@@meanqueensuperscrimper8908 Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply, you’re right and I’m trying my absolute best. I really value you’re channel and your wisdom, I have never had any true guidance from parents etc so you’re message ( and I especially love your little rants 🥰😝 ) are just golden quite frankly. Thankyou 🥰🪽
Wonderful. Everyone makes porrige differently and your method looks very healthy. I love the cloth bowl to stop burning your hands on the bowl. Very creative . Another great video . Thank you Ilona x
Three years ago my mum was poorly and couldn’t cook. She asked me for porridge so I me to the kitchen and I asked my brother how to make it. He couldn’t believe I didn’t know but he showed me how 😅to make
My porridge I use dairy free almond milk add in some linseeds good for cholesterol and blood pressure levels. I often add honey or maple syrup depending on what I have. Sometimes some fruit. At the moment I’ve got tinned rhubarb, soya vanilla yoghurt and granola for breakie of evening treat x
I use three tablespoonsful of oats, sling some water in a pan, and cook, without timing. I have a square ofdark chocolate to mix in with it, once I have dished up.. How many spoonsful do you use? I ought to try the microwave instead of having to clean a pan out!
@@meanqueensuperscrimper8908 yeah …. I measure for consistency of oats to liquid- not too watery/ thick. I just follow pkg. directions. ****sometimes I put the UNCOOKED oats into a blender with fruit and non fat milk and ‘Drink’ My breakfast. My favorite is peaches. But, like you, whatever fruit on hand.🍜🍌🍑 ❤️xx

Ilona ...YOU are a ray of sunshine 💖
Ha ha ha great exercise. My grandpa used to sing that song. “I had a little drink about an hour ago and it went right to my head.”
You got me saying, ‘can you hear me, Mother?’ now, Ilona!
We love you, Meanqueen!

Yours looks delish !
So satisfying, eh??

Porridge in a pot is FAR superior to microwaved - according to my husband, I wouldn’t touch the stuff.🤣
Sounds great with the choc, Susan….. my oats call for 1 C water or milk and 1/2 C oats per 1 serving. That’s Quaker Oats brand, tho. ❤
I don't measure the ingredients. One spoonful of oats mix, and whatever fruit I have.

Woman, you're class ;))
I make mine with all half-fat milk then put on runny honey
Good hearty breakfast to start your day.
Never thought of grinding up nuts to put in porridge
Yes, do it. I have a lot of back teeth missing so I can't chew hard food.
Long 1 minute
I make mine with milk and stewed fruit. More calories but very tasty.
HEY, lol
