As a South African, and knowing most of those products, I had a good laugh! Milo is pronounced "My Low" and is indeed a very yummy choc Malt drink they turned into a cereal as well. Thanks for the laughs and stay delicious!
Germany here: Love your vids. I'd be happy to bump the supermarket and send you a selection of classic german snacks I never or barely came across in Ireland. :)
"Vegemite" is much like "Marmite" (from Britain but sold in Canada and, I believe, in the U.S. as well). It is indeed an "acquired taste". For most people it tastes bad enough to make a freight train back up and take a different track! Since it seems that everything that is bad for you tastes great, it is only logical that something that is (supposedly) good for you should taste like a neglected dumpster.
In my 2 years in Australia I became addicted to the Shapes especially Barbecue and Chicken Crimpy. Also I learned that vegemite is at its best with lovely fresh bread (or toasted) with loads of Kerrygold.
You've been done a disservice getting pie shapes. Vegemite goes lightly spread on buttered toast (give it a chance but go easy on how much) and the timtam slam.. bite opposite corners so its easier to suck the tea up.

Hello Garron! 🇦🇺🦘 Thank you for trying our snacks, that was thoroughly entertaining to watch 😂🤩. Just a few things, I hope you don’t mind me sharing! My-low is the correct pronunciation. It’s a chocolate malt powder added to hot or cold milk for a milky chocolate flavour drink. Milo powder is also very nice sprinkled on vanilla ice cream. I’m so sorry about the Shapes, meat pie is not a popular flavour, I’ve not had them and I’ve not seen them in the stores. Pizza, BBQ and chicken flavours are delicious and very popular! I’m sorry the sender didn’t share how to eat Vegemite. Heavily butter a piece of toast, spread a very thin amount of Vegemite over the butter, very thin. Love your content ♥️, thanks for adding a bit of fun and joy to my life!
Ohhh you really went for it for the vegemite. I bought a very small jar of it once I saw it, in my "international" aisle at the grocers. I dipped a knife into it and got the thinnest of slivers of it on the knife put it on toast and added butter to the toast... and it was still terrible. But I also bought tim tams and those were sooooo good
As an Aussie who loves meat pies, never buy any snack thats meat pie flavoured. They are gross and if you want the flavour of a pie just buy a fucking pie!
Hot toast. Good bit of butter melted on top. Small amount of vegemite (seriously, the amount you had on that crisp would have done a whole slice). Try it properly, Garron. I guarantee it's a different experience.
@Garron, Alright, for the record; the correct way to eat Vegemite is on toast with a generous spread of butter and a gentle smear of Vegemite. You want just enough so it kind of looks like you burnt the toast and scraped it with a knife. Less is more.
At least he did the tim tam slam correctly lol. I feel like we need to do this again tho. Where can I send you stuff? You got done dirty. No curly Wurly, no violet crumble, no passiona, no pizza shapes….also some Allen’s lollies…what do you reckon Aussies? Sherbies?
I don't know which Aussie sent you Meat Pie flavoured shapes, but as a fifty year old Aussie, I'll tell you that nobody eats those here. BBQ Shapes are the favourite here. And chicken salt on anything deep fried is an absolute game changer (the chicken salt in the video was a pisspoor brand btw)..... And "Millow (Milo)" is pronounced "MY LO".... Milo is a malt flavoured drink. Milo granules never truly dissolve, and make for a malt shake with a floating layer of crunchy, foamy, wet / dry contrast. Milo is also awesome sprinkled on icecream. And Vegemite........ Vegemite only belongs in a few places........ On toast, with more butter than vegemite (butter first). On a cheese toasty, jaffle, grilled sandwich (Don't know what Irish people call these), Or on a fresh sandwich, with butter, and maybe cheese. Vegemite is also good, if you add and stir a teaspoon of it into beef flavoured 2 minute noodles.......... Try it...... Good video btw!
Considering the UK (I know Mayo isn't in the UK but it is close by) has its own yeast extract, I'm surprised the concept of it is so odd to so many people

That's the ad from way back. Best Vitamin B serve. Put a tiny scraping on hot buttered toast. Or use it as a seasoning - it's delicious smeared on a chook (chicken) before you roast it. Stir some in some vegie soup or casserole as it's cooking. That umami flavour is stunning used in the correct quantity. Funny video, thanks.

We eat it spread thinly on warm buttered toast or fresh bread.
Love you Garron xx
loving this series 👍
My fave!!
As a South African, and knowing most of those products, I had a good laugh! Milo is pronounced "My Low" and is indeed a very yummy choc Malt drink they turned into a cereal as well. The vegamite (Or Marmite as we in SA call it) is an acquired taste, plus it must be just the tiniest amount spread onto a slice of hot very buttery toast, NOT a big lump onto a tiny S&V crisp LOL! Thanks for the laughs and stay delicious!
The pronunciation of Milo got me! 😂
I love Vegemite! It's a bit like Marmite but not as salty
In my 2 years in Australia I became addicted to the Shapes especially Barbecue and Chicken Crimpy. Also I learned that vegemite is at its best with lovely fresh bread (or toasted) with loads of Kerrygold.
“Slammin’ the Tams!” 😂😂 I love your cráic 😂❤
So entertaining watching you try our favourite snacks. Vegemite is delicious on toast.
You've been done a disservice getting pie shapes. Vegemite goes lightly spread on buttered toast (give it a chance but go easy on how much) and the timtam slam.. bite opposite corners so its easier to suck the tea up.
Aussie living in Ireland here. Thank you for this excellent collab 😂
first time hearing the All Sorts are or old people. 30y.o. (have been living in Ireland for 3 years) and been buying them prooooobably too often. :D Loving the video, the C word, but definitely feeling like an old lady now. :D
Aussie with Irish heritage here. Vegemite is an acquired taste just like black pudding is. Yum there’s potential fusion of cuisine
Vegemite on buttered toast is how ya eat it. The Bees Knees.
Hey Garron! I am a fellow country man living in Australia! The Vegemite is a bit of an acquired taste, but try a tiny spread on a toasted cheese sandwich and it's revolutionary 😊
Watching a snack, eating snacks while I poop out yesterday's snack - living my best life
Love it. But PLEASE do a follow-up video of Vegemite.
Toast some bread, spread it while hot with butter then a SMALL amount of Vegemite.
Please do this!
Yesss!!! I love it on a buttery toasted English muffin! Best! You have to do this Garron!!!
this will not help. you have to be raised on it. I have seen many Americans taste tiny amounts of Marmite and be completely horrified.
@@jinxminx55 Neanderthals! 😅😅
Garron. Seriously massive fan from newport. Please keep up the good work. Love your channel 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Watching You trying to open the chippy salt was pure gold! the whole vid actually
Hi garron! I’m from county Offaly Tullamore in Ireland and I will be going to be seeing you in December. I’m a huge fan of your videos music and poscasts are you able to continue the podcast? I am a huge fan of them but there are only 5 episodes. Best of luck to your success! From Noah Dunne in Ireland Offaly Tullamore.(ps: you are very delicious)
Hello Garron! 🇦🇺🦘
Thank you for trying our snacks, that was thoroughly entertaining to watch 😂🤩.
But I also bought tim tams and those were sooooo good
Every Australian everywhere is silently screaming miiiiii-lowwww 😂
As an Aussie who loves meat pies, never buy any snack thats meat pie flavoured. They are gross and if you want the flavour of a pie just buy a fucking pie!
Freddos originated in Australia 🇦🇺
Just found out you had a TH-cam soo excited to watch your videos. Keep being delicious ❤️
Hot toast.
Good bit of butter melted on top.
Small amount of vegemite (seriously, the amount you had on that crisp would have done a whole slice).
Try it properly, Garron. I guarantee it's a different experience.
You legend! The vegemite reaction…pure gas!!!
I stayed to the end. I’m delicious!
Sherbies?
Milo - pronounced "my low" is a crunchy malt chocolate powder used to make chocolate milk like nesquick/swiss miss etc
Chockito looks a bit like a Lion bar
I had to stop at two minutes almost at the point of tears... Thank you so much for pronouncing Caramel properly ♥♥♥
Vegemite is the Aussie version of Marmite. Eaten the same way. As the TV ads say you either love it or hate it.
Love how you said Milo, it's actually pronounced MY LOW. Love it
Haha, dude, Vegemite gotta be on hot buttered toast, my guy!
Love these snack reviews. Funny and I learn a lot too. Thank you!
I love the fact that you "porkhunts" don't take offence to the term. You are our brothers.
Pizza Shapes is the only way to go, when you do come to Oz, try the Pizza shapes, they're the classique
BBQ is the classic!
Mix strawberry jam marmilaide p nut butter vegimite and marmite and promite .
I miss finishing school for the day and my grandma making me that snaga.
I'm Aussie. Vegemite's gotta be scoffed with equal parts butter. We don't tell anyone that 'til after the fact for our own amusement. Cooee!
Considering the UK (I know Mayo isn't in the UK but it is close by) has its own yeast extract, I'm surprised the concept of it is so odd to so many people
'We're happy little Vegemites as bright as bright can be, We all enjoy our Vegemite for breakfast lunch and tea, Our mummies say we're growing stronger every single week, Because we LOVE our Vegemite, We all ADORE our Vegemite, It puts a rose in every CHEEEEEEEEEEEK.'
I really appreciate that you said a certain brand was evil. 10/10 for being on point. ✌🏻
He said they were a bit evil, which when translated from hiberno-English, means absolutely, irredeemably, murdering children levels of evil, which is literally correct.
@@peglor haha yes that’s exactly how I translated it. The CEO of said brand said that nobody deserves water unless they pay for it. I think that should be their brand moto. Imagine the sales they’d get.
Was hoping he'd say similar and he delivered. Boom!
Cadbury is no different today owned by the people who used to be called Craft but now changed their name again just to confuse you but they are also big food company
Need a Poll for a re-taste of the Fucken Vegemite hahaha that was hilarious 😂
