CAN ANYONE HELP? The lower part of my screen is damaged, my phone was switched off, so when switching back on it's asking for my password to power back on. But due to the damage (lower screen is white and flickering) I can not input my password to switch the phone on as no keyboeard is visible. Is there a way to switch it to finger print rather than a password. What I did was go onto "Find my mobile" samsung website, logged in and then there's an option under the menu "more" that says "Unlock my phone" it only requires you to enter your samsung account password and indeed, it unlocked my phone and also deleted the password that I couldn't remember, so it's fresh for a new password. Every time you fail a password attempt the double the wait time. 5 sec, 10 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, 5 min, 30 min, 1 hour. thats just 8 tries. Option 2: Find My Mobile. DO NOT USE THE "Find My Mobile" service to temporary reset the password. When you press LOCK, it will read "Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed." It will eliminate the option to use the fingerprint reader. It will NOT Bypass the lock screen using the new temporary password. Option 3: Unlocking via Samsung. Find My Mobile may work(???) but I wont know as I needed to register the device before getting locked out.
