When mvm first came out and I played it as a kid, I found it to be kinda scary and confusing. Nowadays I have collected bunch of medals from community mvm events.
The bot problem seems to be mostly fixed, only on more popular maps and modes. For example, 2fort barely has any bots, while lets say something like.. an unpopular map... could be filled with them.
This video was the worst video I’ve ever seen until you put the engineers in the top right. Then it became the most entertaining video I’ve ever watched.
I liked how you went year by year, and didn't just mention each game once (would have been a really short video otherwise, lol). I have fun memories of Team Fortress Classic, and I remember the original sequel that was going to be a more military-sim experience. I'm glad we got the wacky and zany Team Fortress 2, and even though the updates are no longer really there, the game is still fun to this day! I'd love to see a video on just the Halloween/Christmas updates, as they were some of my favourites throughout the years!
The jump from Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms to what we ended up getting as TF2 took some creative genius. The art, the music, the comedy with the Quake-like gameplay was just perfection. You don't see many game companies being successful taking risks like this anymore.
In 2012, when I was only 6 years old, I was introduced to TF2 by my friend. It was a huge boom to play it then, but now, for some reason, I feel like the game has changed too much. Auto-selected teams, the main menu, player-generated bots and partly the vibe. Some people think that the new menu is rather handy, but now it has lost most of those sweet, juicy buttons.
No, you're WAAAAY too young to remember or experience the big changes in this game back during its also golden era. On the side note, who let's a six year old play that game, let alone be on a computer that young?
Fun fact: There was an original diffirent lost version of team fortress 2 back in the year 1999 and the pictures of the dust map for the diffirent version of team fortress 2 is inspired to create the De_Dust Map for the Counter Strike we know today
I am pretty sure TFC was called Team Fortress 1.5 at some point. I remember getting WON version of Half-Life and it came with TFC and DMC installed. The data folder for TFC was still named "tfc" but the main menu background had "Team Fortress 1.5" written on i.t
I wonder how many currently niche indie games/mods would be able to become something as awesome as tf2 if they had the same amount of work put into them
Mann vs machine was one of the most fun things valve has created. The concept is definitely not original, but it worked so well given there are many classes to play, as well as a variety of weapons to use for a unique experience. There were thousands of ways to strategize and speedrun the game.

At least, from my experience.
Well I didn't find any bots in 2fort for the past 1 month. Atleast in Asia
rip degroot keep, full of bots
I have less encounters of bots. Maybe it’s because I live in Asia?
