Does anybody else almost cry when you compare the simplicity of these images and the wonder of this music when you compare it to today's England? I know I do.
Hi Lee, I'm currently reading a book called Early to Rise by the late traditional folk singer and author Bob Copper. It describes life in the Sussex village of Rottingdean, (where I grew up and where the Copper family had been resident for many generations), in the period just after the Great War. It truly makes you weep to realise what we have lost by way of progress.
Yes, I could cry Lee, because music moves me so much wraps threads of feeling around my heart. David does a superb job of pouring his heart and soul into his channel, it is superb love to all of us. Thank you David. Nothing stays the same or even for the better in this life. But for hope, love and grace go I.
A touch late in viewing this, which is for me another piece of your classical music choices, with the very appropriate paintings, to add to a special collection. Many thanks again David for this. All the best season’s wishes.
Hello friend Mr David Harris,...I greet you in this new month of May, listening to this presentation of yours! and what wild landscapes so fresh, so dear as this my field! This gentleman composer G.HOLST, what a GREAT musician he is! How are you DAVID?..always activating! How is your spring season? Do you always take your walk? I send you an affectionate greeting 🖐 wishing you are well. Thank you, relaxing as I like it!☀️🎵💕🍀🕊🌻👏🥨🍕👱♀️❗️
Greetings to you Malena, like you I'm enjoying this month of May. The leaves are on the trees, the blossom is on the bush and the flowers are in the field. What more could you want? Hope all is well with you and yours and, of course, Dark. Best wishes to you.
Today, May 1, is a great holiday because it is WORKERS' DAY. Congratulations and thank you very much!everyone celebrating this day!...And Saint Joseph the Worker's Day" also, here in South America.🎉🙌
Another beautiful video David Harris. Each piece of art complimenting Gustav Hoist’s music. Would you happen to know if the Cross is actually there on the moores or added by Lewis Creighton? Either way it adds a somber feeling of joy. Thank you Sir.
One should also remember what has been gained. I also recall outdoor toilets with old torn up newspapers, water boiled on an old black turf fired range. To be be put in the kitchen sink because we had no bathroom. Not too bad when a small kid because I fitted in the sink. Beware of rose tinted glasses!

I think these pictures look like what I imagine the heath to look like in Thomas Hardy novels.

It's on the North York Moors and, I believe, is known as Young Ralph's Cross.
@ I love history and reading of new places around the world. Thank you so much David Harris for indulging me.

I love the music. Know all the Holst great compositions. However, this new to me. Less enamoured of Creigton's paintings. Far too many sheep's bottoms
😂
