Glad you enjoyed it Lee, as always. We do seem to be going through turbulent times at present, but then, to a lesser or greater degree, we always have. These greedy, rapacious, mass murdering madmen like Putin have a habit of cropping up every now and again.
A sublime & glorious rendition of Delius by the Royal National Orchestra & combination of paintings of Grez-sur-Loing in France where he lived & composed for much of his life! Thank you for this inspiring video, it brings joy, peace & beauty in a turbulent world.
Hi David, Thank you for persisting in your endeavors to bring civilized and beautiful art and music to many of your followers. Sorry to have been out of touch for a while. Our wealthy well educated suburban community has been rocked in February. A suicide on a playground, followed the next day by 8 high schools across our state receiving fake live shooter warnings. Then a week later a local shooter shot 3 dead and 5 injured badly at our big ten college. I was traumatized to say the least. Thank you for your kindness in a crazy world.
Hi Deborah, I'm sad to hear of your news, it must have been very shocking for you and for everyone in your area. We seem to hear of these sorts of events happening in America on almost a weekly basis. I've no wish to be contentious, but it really does appear obvious that something needs to be done about the gun laws where you are. You can't rely on people's personal responsibility, there are too many madmen about. I do hope you start feeling better soon, best wishes, David.
Dear David, thank you for this beautiful piece by Delius. As always, the accompanying works of art are so perfect. I particulalrly like the scene with the bridge amongst the greenery at 2.00 approx. I long to be sitting there with hopefully bees and butterflies around me. Your choices always make me yearn for my younger years. Best wishes, Zinnia.
Hello Zinnia, it does look rather tempting - bees, butterflies and perhaps a skylark trilling midst the cerulean. I think memories are one of the perks of getting older, we can never recapture those times, but we should always be grateful for having had them. Hope you are keeping well, best wishes, David.
@@davidharris2844 Very much so, David. Thank you. You continue to expose me to new composers and art, for which I am sincerely grateful. I am well, thank you .. and hope you are too.
This composer is new for me, it's as though you are imbuing your interpretation with the combo of paintings and music to elevate it. There seems to be something of a longing :) Many thanks for the upload.
@@davidharris2844 I'm 32 so I can't really share in that feeling yet :) but I do long for days when I was little and the nature behind my backyard was much more alive than now, just a quarter century later. It makes the pristine and timeless quality of some of this music you post both more beautiful and saddening to me.
I think nature is suffering, I certainly seem to see fewer butterflies on my patch in recent times; and, of course, man made climate change doesn't help. But I do think part of the yearning so many of us feel for the days of our youth is that we ourselves tend to have been so much more alive then. The process of life seems to have somewhat of a deadening effect on our sensibilities.

@@ColonelBagshott675 Hi Lee, no need to apologise, I thought it was quite amusing. I rather like the name Richard, might use it as an alias if I ever need one.
I hope one day I can visit this place and the english countryside when my son grows up. Keep on creating these videos. I use them to try to make my son loving classical music and painting, as I do. Thanks a lot from Spain
Me alegra que disfrutes del canal Miguel. Espero que tu hijo crezca para apreciar la música y el arte, pero todos somos diferentes, está en manos de los dioses. Mis mejores deseos.
Hi Des, most of the music I already have in my collection, so if I want to put together a video I will go online and search for complementary images. Occasionally it will happen the other way around. Delius has long been a favourite of mine.
In a world that seems to get more and more unbalanced every day I'm so grateful for the peace and calm I find in your posting. Thank you so much.
