I just got me one off a 2017 WRX and it like new, 50.00.. installed on my 2018 Forester XT. shed weight and get better exhaust flow with the WRX pipe. Took me 20 minutes for the install.
Awesome find! It's a great mod right? You should be able to hear more turbo spooling as well when you drive with the windows down. Great job on the self install.
I am a very good auto mechanic been wrenching for years. The mid pipe makes an improvement, better acceleration and overall engine runs better in the higher RPM.
Can anyone please help me with this question. What is the sound difference? I keep going back and forth and can't tell anything. I have a 18 FXT and I'm a father of a 2 year old and expecting one so I'm looking for a natural light subaru sound but nothing inside the cabin due to the babies.
It is a very subtle difference and some say it's not worth the change. I had a young one in the back as well but if it wasn't my wife's car, I would have gone with a louder exhaust note.
@@ctecproductions if is not to much trouble are you able to explain a little more detail the sound you got just with the wrx midpipe. Like the sound inside the cabin while driving on highways and also like in town (low rpm). My son really really loves the subaru sound and I even have a clip in my account but the drone while driving was a little too much
If you like the Subaru tone, you definitely need an exhaust. You can't really hear that much of a difference between stock midpipe or the WRX midpipe. There is no drone or much of any increase in noise on the streets or the highway. If I were to do it all over again, I would get aftermarket axle back mufflers with tips than this midpipe because the sound increase from this midpipe wasn't enough to make much of a difference than stock.
It's *very* subtle, but I'm glad you documented it. I think I'm leaning towards something like a Nameless axleback w/ a 5" muffler. Better bang for the buck.
got nameless muffler deletes on my wife's fxt. (can check out the video on my channel) def a lot louder on start up but don't get any drone on freeway. this is tempting me to swap my WRX midpipe to her car.... nice video! subscribed!!
I like your video! I would love some Nameless muffler deletes but I would probably use the stock midpipe or an STI midpipe. I'm thinking the WRX midpipe would be too loud or produce drone with the Nameless muffler deletes. I know SubieSpeed also has a similar setup available now. Thanks for watching!
Cool! I got a WRX exhaust out of the scrap at the subaru dealer, like brand new, 2 dual outlet mufflers. It drones on my 2010 forester, but it sounds sweet cruising and in between shifts.
My wife at first, was bummin', but she has been with me for 35 years and I have had v-8's with headers, glass-packs and cam, (I think that's why she was attracted to me.) So it didn't take long for her to get used to. I have a 2004 Forester XT with a rod knock. I just got it and will be repairing it for me. I am going to make it like Stage 1.750. I don't want to change the rods or pistons, but will get it tuned. I am thinking of putting cold air intake on the 2010 and getting her tuned. She only has 258k on her. I did a valve job and head gaskets last summer. It runs noticeably better with this exhaust, but that might be the valve job.
Wow, great wife. Very understanding to your passion. Love your list of mods and hope it last a lot longer with everything. Tell me how the time goes for you.
I'm not sure on the part number but you can call any Subaru dealership Parts Department for this WRX midpipe. I bought mine used off of a 2015+ WRX owner who upgraded his full exhaust system.
Just installed mine today, acceleration feel smoother. Also had my dealer flash latest software for ecm. Was thinking to put wrx mufflers too, but don't wanna cut bumper
Awesome! What do you think? It's a subtle difference right? I still have my WRX mufflers but I don't want to cut my bumper either or else I would get the STI midpipe with the resonators.
This mod is not a big bang HP mod. But the exhaust tone is slightly louder only on the outside and you shed weight off subie, exhaust flows better less restrictive. These WRX used slightly, mid pipes are easy to find just look around in ads,etc..most I would pay would be 75.00.

Dat beastly family car
Thank you very much for watching and supporting!

CTEC Productions what's funny is that my wife is the one who wishes it was louder and it is our family car 😂 keep up the good videos!
the nameless deletes make the car sound great
I read the same thing. Do you have it?
Oof... not for his family car. that would make this really loud.

Wow, great find! Good stuff! I didn't install mine because I knew about the drone. Since it is my family car, I decided against installing it.

another cool stuff for your XT !
Thank you very much.
Appreciate the video on this, but it's best not to put music during the exhaust sound part
That was pretty nice. There is a notable improvement.
Hey, Do you know how to remove the tip of the exhaust ?
Hmm, not sure about that one.
Hey there, left a pm. Had a few questions! Love the vids!
Thank you for supporting! Where did you leave the PM? I didn't get anything.
CTEC Productions hey thanks for the reply! Somewhere I can pm you at?
You can email me. My TH-cam name @gmail.com. No spaces.
CTEC Productions pm'd! Thanks!
Thanks for the video. What is the part number and what was the price on it?

Do you still have your Mid-Pipe on Forester XT
Yes, I do.
@@ctecproductions Are you thinking of selling it?
Yes, I have the WRX exhausts as well. Are you local in the Greater Toronto Area?
Is it possible to change the headers with UEL Set ?
It’s possible
Where did you buy the Wrx mid pipe?
I got it off of a local guy. Used.
Yessssssss!! Nicely done. Though I do wish you swapped the mufflers too haha. But next time, can I be your Trish?
Haha! I wrote those "rev time" comments just for you.
Again nice work on the subie!
Thank you!
How it sound on highway? Does it drone?
It honestly sounds pretty stock. It's only noticeable for people who know. I would actually prefer it to be a little louder. No drone whatsoever.

CTEC Productions Sound slightly louder, sti midpipe almost the same my buddy have it on xt.
Does your friend have the STI midpipe with the WRX/STI mufflers? Would love to know if that drones.
do you have the part number?
Any decrease/increase in hp?
Great video btw

Got new videos bro? So far so good but would love to see weekly updates :-)
Yeah, it's been slower lately. Sorry about that.
Turbos sound horrible with a CVT
I agree, but there is cool whistle noise inside the cabin. Haha!
