For what it's worth regarding a timing being "fishy" - I recently had someone record me playing Spin-N-Win in slow motion and we watched it back, both wins and losses. There are 3 lights lit as the wheel goes around, and it's where the first segment is when you hit the stop button that counts. While there's a setting in the manual that allows them to adjust the window (which is clearly labeled in milliseconds, something that Explosive does not do!) watching it in slo-mo shows that the game isn't cheating with a payout function that just says "you lose, I haven't taken in enough money yet to let you win." Crazy Curves has 2 lights lit as it goes around the giant "8" of a wheel, same logic - it's where it is on the first light that counts.
4:20: seems possible or likely that this might be because of the shutter speed and frame rate of the camera relative to the speed of the light turning on or off. If you’re recording at 30 fps I don’t think there’s enough temporal resolution to judge exactly what’s going on. Many (most?) phones have a slow-motion recording mode that can run at 120 or 240 frames per second; it would be worth recording the game using that mode so you have an extremely precise view of what is going on.

I like watching this game, the fact that you can watch it for the payout is nice. The game of this I played on actually hit the buzz saw pretty consistently. I watched players think the balloon is big enough not realizing the size of the balloon.

I managed to win one of them by hitting the jackpot, so winning the jackpot is random/timed correctly depending on some models since the Dave and Buster's I went to probably had that feature. However, I couldn't find that same machine the next time I went there. Also, I'm interested if you're gonna review the TV show arcade games or the arcade adaptations for mobile games.
I would figure the double-light thing has more to do with the fact that the lights are fading in and out rather than instantly changing state. It appears quick enough to your eyes, but when viewed with a slomo camera you can see the period of time that both are lit. Ex take a look at the slow moving light at 5:30 - if you pause it right, you can see two lights lit.
Yo I remember playing the pop it for gold at my local chucky cheese as a kid. I kinda remember it having another name but I so recognize that machine so I’m probably just remembering it wrong
An arcade I used to go to once in a while installed the Pop-it Extreme and as someone who hates sudden, loud noises, ever since it got installed my arcade trips are always filled with anxiety of it popping. Suffice to say I hated these machines for that reason.
Could we get a for fun video on non ticket arcade games? If you want a specific genre how about fighting games? Could even talk about wagering your tokens against whoever wins and loses (Just an idea don't have to actually try this)

ive spent too much money to just to see it pop from the pumps. Never got the Jp lol. But as someone that is not a fan of balloons popping, there is definitely a unique thrill element from this not seen in other arcade games. On the topic of zombie snatcher, might just be me, but i feel like the machines ive seen the arms are always kinda iffy in terms of maintainance and consistency.
I remember playing a game similar to this at a bowling alley and I remember getting Jackpot first time and got over 700 tickets because of how long it took for the balloon to pop

i also recommend using the slow motion feature instead of slowing down video in an editor

5:06 - Just like Cyclone, it's 1 to 20 milliseconds. 4 is the default in that game too.
