Don't beat your self up about it, definitely not fun that it happened, but you can always try to color match it with a mix solution of metallic whites and then a very careful clear coat to fix that area. Won't be perfect, but its better than nothing if it eventually bothers you enough. Just remember to tape as close to that rough spot as u can so you don't have any extra paint getting on the still good paint and thin coats go a long way, drips, clumps and bumps are a no no and will leave you unsatisfied, so if you do it, make sure you are taking your time Also another good tip is to get some of the paint with clear coat over it on a sample piece (that sample piece being whatever hard surface) to see if that paint is as close as possible to what you all ready have on the car in darker and brighter areas such as in the shade and direct sun (which is probably what is going to show most harshly). If it isn't, adjust and always measure what and how much you are mixing before you combine colors, it will make it a lot less frustrating to get that color correct quicker. Don't be afraid to take time on getting the color right, its easier to put on then get it off.
Wow thanks for all the info, a lot of good tips in there! I actually got the exact shade of paint directly from Nissan and touched it up. Isn’t perfect but the best I could do
Did the back of yours come stock with the black “370z” and “Nissan” emblem? If so - where can I buy? I would be thrilled to have those as they would last!
@@adamgalind1101 ABS = Plastic, I was not sure how much you paid, but my replacement in plastic was about $10.00 and looks great with the same 3M tape supply. Not sure what a CF would be priced at. Cheers mate.
F in the chat for my paint

@@adamgalind1101 That's honestly even better, getting paint to match is a real pain and as long as your ok with it, I'm sure it looks good enough!
That’s looks so sick! More detail shots!
Yessir!

No I actually plasti dipped them myself
could i use a small disc sander for a drill attachment? i don’t wanna mess my paint up 😂
Yea just try and be precise of where you’re sanding otherwise you’ll do what I did 😂
Looks sick bro
Thanks man 🙏
I buy one but don’t come with the carbon fiber
What did it come with? Did you buy it from the website linked in the description?
Why would you use that to cut the tabs off? Lol.. Exacto knife is your friend.
Lol I tried that at first but they were a lot tougher than they look to cut off
@@adamgalind1101 whats the best way to cut them off?
I used the grinder in the video but it wasn’t the smartest decision as you can see 😂
@@adamgalind1101 lol i see.. im trying to find the best way to do it they seem like a real hassle
Wow - carbon fiber, that is 10 hp easily. Just get a regular ABS dude and save some $ 😆
What do you mean by regular ABS?
