I've been a part of Christian communities all my life, but I never accepted Jesus as the LORD of my life, my way, my truth, my life. Therefore I never managed to read the Bible, I never managed to pray, I just came to the meetings and heard my teachers preaching. I thought that the point was to be saved by grace alone, basically, because that's what is being preached!! The second, and I mean the last few months (3 months), I started reading the Bible for myself (and accepted Jesus as my Lord, the one who owns me, my slavemaster), it became APPARENT that this was not the case!!! We need to live the lives JESUS has for us, not lives we can achieve on our own! And the life Jesus has for us is one without the bondage of SIN!!! THANK YOU FOR PREACHING THE TRUE WORD, I'm amazed that people can read the Bible and preach the Bible without admitting this as fully as we should.

I don't know if you realise it,but what you're saying is actually the exact official teachings of the roman-catholic church! The roman catholic church also teaches that we're saved by grace alone, but their official definition of grace is : "Grace is Gods help to live a righteous life". Remember the pharisee in temple. in Luke 18.11-12 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. We often wrongly judge this pharisee to be self-righteous by standing there in the temple and bragging about his own good deeds, but this is not really what the pharisee does. What he does is praising God, and give God the honour for his holy life.(remember he says: "God I thank thee") The problem is....Jesus clearly says he didn't make it to heaven! There was a publician in the temple the same day, and he had nothing to show of before God. No holy life, absolutely nothing to brag about, only shame... and the only words coming out of his mouth was: God be merciful to me a sinner. But Jesus says: I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other.

@@mellekar1613 read the Bible especially the Book of Acts. Not a secular book. To be clear: A person doesn't heal another person, the Holy Spirit works through the person. We are called to be disciples and in the book of Acts, God uses Paul to heal another person and... more than once, let's be fair. We are called by God to go out unto every nation preaching the gospel, healing the sick and casting out demons. There are other examples of the disciples healing people. None of which proclaimed it was themselves healing the people. It's always Jesus! Always.

It literally says in the beginning of the same chapter 2 in Ephesians that we have been dead as the rest of the world in our sins and in our worldy lusts and where walking according to the world, thereby being dead. The grace is literally that we are saved from all of that, we have been pulled out of that misery because we could have never done that by our own. But after we have been pulled out of that, we can (and are expected) to walk in the new life.

In a nutshell we receive God's Grace when we have faith in Jesus' death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins and we love Him because He loves us. "If you love me, said Jesus, keep my Commandments" His Commandments are love GOD with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. Obedience to God's Commandments is living in Grace. Everything is God's free gift, we pay for nothing. It's only when we reject God's free gifts and think we earned them and don't need God, that's when we pay dearly.
Great teaching of truth. This is still a huge problem on TH-cam that easy believism, antinomianism, cheap grace, man-centered gospel and hyper-grace is what most people believe. They call me a legalist all the time when I am just obeying Christ's command to make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit AND TEACHING THEM TO OBEY CHRIST'S COMMANDS. Growing up Baptist in a OSAS church, we got baptized without repentance and no baptism of the Holy Spirit. Thank the Lord, God showed me my faith was worthless when I was 45, and the grace of God is the power to obey the will of the Father instead of just calling Him, "Lord, Lord" and not doing what He commands. Good illustrations too. It's the song Trust and Obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey. John 3:36 (not in KJV) says that if we don't obey the Son we remain under God the Father's wrath. God bless ya'll.

I am wondering how a dead man could grab on and hold to a "life line"? A man in full strength and power would have hard time to hold unto a line to be pulled out much less a dead man (Eph 2:8-9) Grace - Faith is the Gift of God. "HE made us alive in Christ while we were dead and he gave us the Faith as gift to believe. (Faith comes by hearing...) Many have ears but don't hear (Why?) ____ Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 MADE us ALIVE with Christ even when we were DEAD in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved.
@@chaselepari2671 but we need to underatand the trinity to understand this statement. Jesus is also God, God the Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is God; and they are one. Jesus does not act alone in His will, His Will is also the Father's. Therefore this statement is logical.

Sink into all meekness, humility and lowliness and let God become all and us nothing. Because Jesus came as a man and lived as a man relying upon God through the holy spirit. He also had to be baptized because although He is God He put off His divine nature and came as the son of man. The body of christ's deepest need is humility which is the chief grace and root of the christian life. @@michaelarivony7409 I dont think you understood why I posted that text. It is the point that grace alone is grace alone. Faith is the given grace. He said to peter "who do you say that I am?" Peter said the son of God and He replied "blessed are you for the father Has revealed that to you." This means that faith is given by God and cannot be willed or gotten by much trying but only by seeking a disposition of humility before God to be granted to step into His sovereign grace so He can rule and live through us.
Acts 15:11 explains the Grace of God in Action by being Baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in Tongues....The Minsters are Right in everyway....in Jesus Name...Amen...

This is good!! You always use such good “word pictures” to explain scripture and your excitement when you read His word is contagious. In Acts 2:38 the word “remission”of sin is used in the KJV and “forgiveness” of sin is used in other translations. Please expound on the definition of those two words in the Hebrew and Greek. I love the analogy of Torben with the life saver. Torben loves you as his friend and would not ask someone else to save you. Just like God who so loved the world that He robed Himself in flesh/Son and died for us. He wouldn’t send someone else. God is a Spirit but it was only by the shedding of blood that our sin could be remitted. So God put on flesh/Son and came in the form of a baby named Jesus. All power of heaven and earth is given unto Jesus...that is why we baptize in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sin.

Hi Cynthia! Are you still having trouble or are you free now? Have you watched the pioneer training school yet? That’s really good if you haven’t, I recomend watching it. He talks in there about when we are still having trouble with sin to look 4 things: have we repented, are we baptized full immersion in water after we have repented, with the revelation we are free now from sin, do we need deliverance, and then we need to get our minds renewed,..and then we need to be baptized with The Holy Spirit also. Sometimes it takes some time to find out what is holding us back. Can you contact someone on the TLR map to come help you with this? If you did not feel anything at first don’t give up on them, you may just need to keep working with them. Or you can try someone else on there. I was raised Catholic too and I have had a horrible time with oppression like you are describing. I don’t know if it was from that or not. Sometimes it’s a fight. If you’ve repented and been baptized stand in that truth that you are free from sin now, and now demon has no right to stay. Tell it to go, and believe you are free from sin. Renew your mind, and ask God to baptize you in the Holy Spirit. Keep in touch with anyone available at this ministry -it doesn’t have to be Torben. ‘For good works prepared before hand’ ... Those good works are God’s commands He gave us at Mt. Sinai. Not by those commands are we ever saved but the Spirit makes us Set-Apart(holy)by those same commands. Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my statutes.
Torben, I just heard about how you and your family had to flee from Denmark. I am so sorry what you have had to endure. I pray for your asylum here in the US. I couldn't help but think of something you said that you wished to accomplish in your ministry was to bring back the early church. Well, early church was also greatly persecuted because what they taught was the real truth. In today's time, you're facing that same demonic rage to silence you because what you are doing is you are showing what the church was meant to be. So, with all that you've had to go through I sure hope you realize that your persecution and humiliation was a great attack for doing great work. I don't say great in crediting you but give the glory to God because of your love and obedience you have produced much fruit and the enemy doesn't like that. I want to see this early church come alive again also. I would give anything to live in a community of believers who are in love with Jesus, and working His harvest.
Faith and repentance are also granted by God. That is why no one can boast. The analogy of the free car is a category error. A better exaple would be Lazarus in his grave and Jesus call him out to life. That is grace.
That act was not a "salvation" act. He just raised a man from the grave. Here's something Jesus said though. "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." John 12:32 He draws ALL men. So everyone is drawn but not all will he saved. That's because you can *choose* to accept Christs offer, or the "car", or let it be and choose wrath, death and curses. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord , choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord . @@jeremypetri9690 I do not argue that Lazarus was necessarily saved by that act. Just pointing out that it is a better analogy when you consider all what the Bible say on the subject. There is no God seeker Romans 3:11. That is why faith has to be granted also. Every knee will bow to Jesus, but drawn by the son is another context than drawn by the father from John 6. Because all who is drawn by the father will be saved. The Bible calls us to do good I don't deny that. But I also can't deny romans 8 and 9.

John 6:65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” Read the context, it will confirm it even more. Just like Lazarus is unable to come so are we unless the father draws. John 6:35-44 And those drawn will come, it says so clearly, and they will be saved. The car gift analogy don't fit john 6:35-65. The Bible is teaching monergism. It is all God's doing. Contrast that with Romans 3:11 there is no God seeker.
Think about it - You did not fall of the boat trying to get saved and screaming for help. You've been dead in the water for a long time. Trow a "life line" to this dead man and watch for his reaction (no hope)... BUT God made this dead man Alive in Christ put in him a new Spirit to come spiritually alive. He caused this dead man to be born again/ not out of flash but out of God. Now this man can have saving active faith or can walk in the good works prepared for him. (I would say that indeed that would be - NOT of works so no one will boast.)

Faith doesnt come by Just believing in Jesus Christ. The bible says faith comes by Hearing and hearing by the word of God. Thats how faith comes. There is a lot of people who believe in Jesus but they dont know Him as savor and Lord. If he isnt your savor and your Lord then you dont have His grace either.
It’s like taking a shower. the water on in the shower is Jesus. getting into the shower is our act of repentance. Some people get into the shower without the Shower on. They repented but not through Jesus because the shower was not on. Some people see the Shower on but do not get into the shower. They are saying I believe in Jesus but they are not repenting by getting into the shower. Either way they did not take a shower, they are still dirty. Jesus being the Shower- me repenting by getting into the running water from the shower is being saved by the grace of God. Now I’m washed clean of sin.

More CHRISTIANS need to HEAR AND UNDERSTAND THIS!!! I've been a part of Christian communities all my life, but I never accepted Jesus as the LORD of my life, my way, my truth, my life. Therefore I never managed to read the Bible, I never managed to pray, I just came to the meetings and heard my teachers preaching. I thought that the point was to be saved by grace alone, basically, because that's what is being preached!! The second, and I mean the last few months (3 months), I started reading the Bible for myself (and accepted Jesus as my Lord, the one who owns me, my slavemaster), it became APPARENT that this was not the case!!! We need to live the lives JESUS has for us, not lives we can achieve on our own! And the life Jesus has for us is one without the bondage of SIN!!! We are called to be disciples and in the book of Acts, God uses Paul to heal another person and... more than once, let's be fair.
We are called by God to go out unto every nation preaching the gospel, healing the sick and casting out demons. There are other examples of the disciples healing people. None of which proclaimed it was themselves healing the people. It's always Jesus! Always.

It literally says in the beginning of the same chapter 2 in Ephesians that we have been dead as the rest of the world in our sins and in our worldy lusts and where walking according to the world, thereby being dead. The grace is literally that we are saved from all of that, we have been pulled out of that misery because we could have never done that by our own. But after we have been pulled out of that, we can (and are expected) to walk in the new life.

In a nutshell we receive God's Grace when we have faith in Jesus' death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins and we love Him because He loves us. "If you love me, said Jesus, keep my Commandments" His Commandments are love GOD with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. Obedience to God's Commandments is living in Grace. Everything is God's free gift, we pay for nothing. It's only when we reject God's free gifts and think we earned them and don't need God, that's when we pay dearly.

Great teaching of truth. This is still a huge problem on TH-cam that easy believism, antinomianism, cheap grace, man-centered gospel and hyper-grace is what most people believe. They call me a legalist all the time when I am just obeying Christ's command to make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit AND TEACHING THEM TO OBEY CHRIST'S COMMANDS. Growing up Baptist in a OSAS church, we got baptized without repentance and no baptism of the Holy Spirit. Thank the Lord, God showed me my faith was worthless when I was 45, and the grace of God is the power to obey the will of the Father instead of just calling Him, "Lord, Lord" and not doing what He commands. Good illustrations too. It's the song Trust and Obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey. John 3:36 (not in KJV) says that if we don't obey the Son we remain under God the Father's wrath. God bless ya'll.

Peter said the son of God and He replied "blessed are you for the father Has revealed that to you." This means that faith is given by God and cannot be willed or gotten by much trying but only by seeking a disposition of humility before God to be granted to step into His sovereign grace so He can rule and live through us.

This is good!! You always use such good “word pictures” to explain scripture and your excitement when you read His word is contagious. In Acts 2:38 the word “remission”of sin is used in the KJV and “forgiveness” of sin is used in other translations. Please expound on the definition of those two words in the Hebrew and Greek. I love the analogy of Torben with the life saver. Torben loves you as his friend and would not ask someone else to save you. Just like God who so loved the world that He robed Himself in flesh/Son and died for us. He wouldn’t send someone else. God is a Spirit but it was only by the shedding of blood that our sin could be remitted. So God put on flesh/Son and came in the form of a baby named Jesus. All power of heaven and earth is given unto Jesus...that is why we baptize in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sin.

Hi Cynthia! Are you still having trouble or are you free now? Have you watched the pioneer training school yet? That’s really good if you haven’t, I recomend watching it. He talks in there about when we are still having trouble with sin to look 4 things: have we repented, are we baptized full immersion in water after we have repented, with the revelation we are free now from sin, do we need deliverance, and then we need to get our minds renewed,..and then we need to be baptized with The Holy Spirit also. Sometimes it takes some time to find out what is holding us back. Can you contact someone on the TLR map to come help you with this? If you did not feel anything at first don’t give up on them, you may just need to keep working with them. Or you can try someone else on there. I was raised Catholic too and I have had a horrible time with oppression like you are describing. I don’t know if it was from that or not. Sometimes it’s a fight. If you’ve repented and been baptized stand in that truth that you are free from sin now, and now demon has no right to stay. Tell it to go, and believe you are free from sin. Renew your mind, and ask God to baptize you in the Holy Spirit. Keep in touch with anyone available at this ministry -it doesn’t have to be Torben. It has gotten at least somewhat better for me. I have more peace now.God is showing me the lies I was taught in the church. I did a lot of inner healing and I learned a lot of lies. ‘For good works prepared before hand’ ... Those good works are God’s commands He gave us at Mt. Sinai. Not by those commands are we ever saved but the Spirit makes us Set-Apart(holy)by those same commands.

Torben, I just heard about how you and your family had to flee from Denmark. I am so sorry what you have had to endure. I pray for your asylum here in the US. I couldn't help but think of something you said that you wished to accomplish in your ministry was to bring back the early church. Well, early church was also greatly persecuted because what they taught was the real truth. In today's time, you're facing that same demonic rage to silence you because what you are doing is you are showing what the church was meant to be. So, with all that you've had to go through I sure hope you realize that your persecution and humiliation was a great attack for doing great work. I don't say great in crediting you but give the glory to God because of your love and obedience you have produced much fruit and the enemy doesn't like that. I want to see this early church come alive again also. I would give anything to live in a community of believers who are in love with Jesus, and working His harvest.

Faith and repentance are also granted by God. That is why no one can boast. The analogy of the free car is a category error. A better exaple would be Lazarus in his grave and Jesus call him out to life. That is grace.
That act was not a "salvation" act. He just raised a man from the grave. Here's something Jesus said though.
"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

He draws ALL men. So everyone is drawn but not all will he saved. That's because you can *choose* to accept Christs offer, or the "car", or let it be and choose wrath, death and curses.

There is no God seeker Romans 3:11. That is why faith has to be granted also.
Every knee will bow to Jesus, but drawn by the son is another context than drawn by the father from John 6. Because all who is drawn by the father will be saved.
The Bible calls us to do good I don't deny that. But I also can't deny romans 8 and 9.
I don’t agree that Lazarus is a good example. God brought him to life again. We didn’t not bring all people to life.

Read the context, it will confirm it even more. Just like Lazarus is unable to come so are we unless the father draws. John 6:35-44 And those drawn will come, it says so clearly, and they will be saved.
The car gift analogy don't fit john 6:35-65. The Bible is teaching monergism. It is all God's doing.
Contrast that with Romans 3:11 there is no God seeker.

Think about it - You did not fall of the boat trying to get saved and screaming for help. You've been dead in the water for a long time. Trow a "life line" to this dead man and watch for his reaction (no hope)... BUT God made this dead man Alive in Christ put in him a new Spirit to come spiritually alive. He caused this dead man to be born again/ not out of flash but out of God. Now this man can have saving active faith or can walk in the good works prepared for him. (I would say that indeed that would be - NOT of works so no one will boast.)

Faith doesnt come by Just believing in Jesus Christ. The bible says faith comes by Hearing and hearing by the word of God. Thats how faith comes. There is a lot of people who believe in Jesus but they dont know Him as savor and Lord. If he isnt your savor and your Lord then you dont have His grace either.
It’s like taking a shower. the water on in the shower is Jesus. getting into the shower is our act of repentance. Some people get into the shower without the Shower on. They repented but not through Jesus because the shower was not on. Some people see the Shower on but do not get into the shower. They are saying I believe in Jesus but they are not repenting by getting into the shower. Either way they did not take a shower, they are still dirty. Jesus being the Shower- me repenting by getting into the running water from the shower is being saved by the grace of God. Now I’m washed clean of sin.
