Man, if ever the term "fluid" could be used to describe music... well, this is it! I like how you were so intentional about having the instrumentation flow between different instruments and textures throughout the song. And I imagine it must have taken a great deal of work, not only to do it, but to do it _well_ as you have here. The spacey, rippling kind of sounds (such as at 1:21) really aid the transitions here, and they're just plain cool to listen to. I'm really liking those heavy pitch bends in certain notes, as NuzLok pointed out - again, everything just kinda flows here, which is really fitting for a beach-themed level in a game where paint is the primary mechanic. I do remember this level, but I don't exactly recall what the music was like. But listening to this remix, certain parts of it are definitely coming back! And interestingly, there seem to be riffs of the Yoshi's Island main theme, unless I'm just losing my mind (which is often the case). Really loving those synthwave-styled drums, by the way, and you nailed that classic Linn drum style - the selection of drums is tight, too! I'm especially liking that sound that plays on every other beat starting at 0:35, where it sounds kind of like a hollow metal pipe being struck - very unique and cool! And the percussive rhythms you've created here are superb, as usual. The ending is very charming and relaxing, winding things down with what sounds like a music box... this is definitely the kind of music I could fall asleep or doze off to while listening - it's really calm and chill, and super easy on the ears. I'm looking forward to hearing this in the Megamix, as well as whatever else you've got cooked up. Awesome work, Jack! :D
