- A mashup of my personal videos that I took while stationed on the USS Peleliu during my 1988 West Pacific (WesPac) Deployment.
The movie includes:
- Hong Kong liberty
- Flight Deck Operations
- CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters
- CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters
- UH-1N Huey helicopters
- LCAC operations
- Sea Wiz Machine guns (150 rounds / sec)
- Steel Beach Cookout
- Captains Kitchen footage
- Tiger Cruise w/ my Dad and Brother
- Homecoming back to Long Beach California
There is plenty of random shipboard footage and other typical daily activities while underway at sea that should bring back some memories for anyone stationed on the Big 5
I have also not included our onshore activities in this movies and I will need to do much editing especially from our Philippines visit, but I would love to put more content online one of these days.
I have over 20 some hours of other footage taken during my 4 year Navy stint, including tons of Fight Deck operations, another WesPac (1990) and even several helicopter crashes, Vietnamese refugee rescues, Earthquake relief efforts in San Francisco, among other things...
I hope this can be enjoyed by anyone who served time!

Was on this ship for about 3 weeks (was actually on the comstock) or so in 2001 right before we got off and entered Afghanistan by way of Pakistan right after 9/11 in mid November. I was also on this ship in 2003 during my 2nd deployment to Iraq. Good times. That gym was awesome!
