  • Have you ever seen how the tenouchi works? I haven't. This video provides you with slow-motions of single and consecutive strikes with the right hand and left hand. And also at the very end, I'm sharing two scientific types of research regarding tenouchi. I have links below.
The training methods to get the good tenouchi will be coming up. So stay tuned.

As an Iaido practitioner I found this video extremely useful. The narration was at a very nice pace enabling one to reflect on one's own application of teno uchi, a concept which I find easy to understand but extremely hard to apply. Nonetheless, there are a lot of information offered which I will need to reflect on and apply in my own training. So thank you very much.

Thank you for your comment, Danny Meetoo!😀
tenouchi should be different depending on your purpose (cutting nothing, cutting things and hitting a target) but I am sure the concept is the same. If not, very similar.
I do iaido a little bit too so I know what you are talking about 😉

BTW, I am a trained engineer, and it seems what you are calling "power" is proper force in a scientific sense. The word power is twice derived from force. Force through Distance (F x d) yields work (Energy), Power is Energy per Time so is defined as Force x Distance / Time.
