  • Big thanks for Box.co.uk for sending me this Flashforge Creator Pro 2. This is the first time I have really played with a dual nozzle printer before so I was pretty excited to get this out of the box!

    Flashforge must have heard you about the removable magnetic bed. I just ordered one of these and that is one of the most recent upgrades to this machine which I'm very happy about. I had the Dreamer when it first came out and I loved it, but the Idex is really nice to have.

    I'm finding the mirror mode is very helpful. I'll print two mirrored halves of a model that need to snap together. The mirror mode saves quite a bit of time when doing this.

    • @ratemyfuneral

      Oh nice! I haven't played with that yet.

    • @CraigBrideau
      @CraigBrideau 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ratemyfuneral It also lets you print at basically 2x speed if you have a bunch of parts. As long as all your pieces can fit on one half of the bed, you can mirror, and thus simultaneously print, with the other half. This lets you put out twice the parts in the same amount of time.

    What are the max temps on the nozzles and bed? I just found this video while looking to add to my printer collection and don't have time today to run all the way through it. I love printing with nylon and zytel for things on my friends airplane. Will this printer be able to handle those types of temperatures?

    I'm curious as you tried both Guider 2 and creator pro2, how do they compare in print quality on small elements? Did you notice a significant difference?

    • @ratemyfuneral
      @ratemyfuneral  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey! Between all of my FlashForge printers the print quality has always been extremely consistent. In my mind, the finder, the guider and the creator have all been more or less the same in terms of print quality and that’s always been really high.

    • @ratemyfuneral
      @ratemyfuneral  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You should find that adjusting your temps downward 5 - 10 degs should reduce that. Hot ends being slightly too hot is the most common reason for stringing. 😁

    @AmanSharma-fh1uj ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It works good for me. The hardest part is to get the model off the build-plate as it has really good adhesion.

  • @mdev3987
    @mdev3987 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I got the same printer! But I have a major problem with temperatures. I have an Ender 3 that works better! If I would do a PLA on 210C, it would do so much stringing that I could throw away the print model. If I lower the temp, then for my "support" extruder, the supports get messed up and start stringing like hell. In any case, it would be good to make a video about how to handle supports with this printer and what temperatures to use.

    • @ratemyfuneral
      @ratemyfuneral  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, that sounds like a real shame. Did you try contacting FlashForge about the issue? I have always found all of their printers to be extremely 'plug and play' and I have never had to deviate much from the stock slicer settings. I'd suggest that it may be you got a bit unlucky with your specific one.

    Unfortunately my first experience with the company was to order the old creator pro, get told its out of stock pay the extra 500 AUD to get the creator 2 instead, and get sent someone's faulty Ebay return, return slip still in the packaging. Might be a thing with my local distributor, being in Australia, but hopefully the replacement they're sending me will give me faith in the company and their products again, because for now, I don't have much.

    • @ratemyfuneral
      @ratemyfuneral  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Assuming you mean, print the hand one colour and the nails another. Technically... Yes... However, it's not straight forward. You would need to separate the parts of the mesh in a 3D modelling software keeping the positions so that you could set the hand to be printed by one nozzle and the nails are printed by the other.
