@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia Mostly Chinatown. Though, I've never seen Cry Baby and I am curious to try that one out. Depp is a good actor and I like his earlier work quite a bit.

Chinatown is my favorite movie of all time.
The Canadian version of Rango didn't come with the slipcover. The publisher misled on the amazon page unfortunately. I had to re-order from the US but am glad I did, I am very impressed with Rango on 4K. I completely agree with you James, it deserved to have the Extended release on 4K as well.
You asked about comparisons to the theatrical experience - well, unfortunately the home releases of recent warner films utterly pale in comparison since they are only 2D at home but stereo 3D in the theater, which really is a massive difference. I am utterly CRUSHED that Meg 2 and Godzilla x Kong did not receive releases on 3D Blu-ray. MOD is fine, but they need to get released - many people worked on those films and deserve to have their work preserved for the future :(

Chinatown was the first DVD I ever owned. The Blu ray was good at the time, but I am very excited to see this with the HDR and Dolby Vision. I'm glad they upgraded the audio as I felt the blu ray audio was lack luster.

Godzilla Kong Atmos sound kicks butt....will need to check it out. Love Rango!! J Depp does great job playing character voice. Such a Shame no Extended Cut😢 though Dolby Vision🎉 is big plus also sound is good.

I am very disappointed to ear that about the Cry Baby movie- I ordered it from Kino Lorber over a month ago.. Maybe i should cancel my order.
🤔Well that’s up to you, as I shared in this video it was still an upgrade over the old poor Blu Ray transfer but it just has some technical issues that are present in the image & the audio issue now appears to simply be a disc manufacturing issue & error so that’s why I’m always open & honest with all of you about all my testing results so that you know exactly what to expect from each release!!
Though very sadly😢 there are some people who get angry & irritated whenever I share about any of the problems & issues I discover through my testing & they want me to ONLY point out the good stuff & have me ignoring anything wrong with a disc!!🙄
🤨But regardless of those that keep attacking me for my honesty, as I’ve always done professionally for over 8 years now I will always continually be open & honest about what I discovered through all my exclusive testing so you know about the TRUE quality of every release!!👌

@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia James I am not attacking you at all. Did you think I was? I love your honest thoughts and the testing that goes into each of your reviews. I just didn't like what I heard about the noise in the picture in some spots and that they didn't do a 5.1 sound mix. I own the original bluray, so I know that this will be a step up from that. So are you saying that the image & the audio issue now appears to simply be a disc manufacturing issue? Does that mean a new disc will have to be issued at some point? I ordered mine with the 1950's Invasion of the Body Snatchers- that might be why I haven't gotten my Cry Baby yet. I am excited about the work they did for Chinatown, Godzilla and Kong and the Rango 4k's. Keep up the good work on your channel and hope and prey that your health improves! And last, please don't think I was attacking you.

Is Cry Baby the regular version or the one with the extra scenes in the movie?
the 4K disc is the theatrical version but it comes with the directors cut on blu-ray too. both are remastered & both look incredible! The 4k theatrical just has HDR but the 2 discs are almost identical. & I didn't notice anything wrong with what he was describing as faults.
i have pre order of Chinatown 4k. Good see they dont go nutz with DNR and better than "Once upon time...." dont fwith film grain.
So, who at Paramount deserves to be fired for releasing Chinatown on a 100 GB disc and not Once Upon West?
So sad we didn't get the Godzilla x Kong 3D version that i was able to see in the cinema. Some of the Aerial Shots were breathtaking, and would have never worked the same in 2D.
I think 3D is over. Just not enough TV's and media that support it. I do enjoy some of them in the theatre but just doesn't seem to be taking off in home cinema.
