I went to CEX a couple of weeks ago and saw No Country on 4K. I snatched it up, only to look at it closer and realise that someone in the back room had clearly just grabbed whatever box they could reach for the regular Blu-ray when putting it out on the shelf, not realising the deep cut personal rollercoaster I would go on when I saw it only to have my heart broken.
Amadeus 4K restoration was recently presented at the Academy Museum to a sold out audience. Even if it’s December, I want to see it on 4K UHD for its 40th anniversary. Nice predictions!
We also don't have a 4K release of "Lolita". I've been waiting on that one (particularly from Criterion, at least on Blu-ray) for years. (I know Warner put out an old Blu-ray years ago.)

El Cid needs it so badly. I am begging for a North American release. Heck, I’d take a region a blu ray. I thought for sure Ben hur was a lock for this year but it’s not looking too good. El Cid is one of two movies that are at the top of my list for a blu ray or 4k release in North America. The other is John Wayne’s the Alamo and next year is the 65th anniversary. I really hope it finally happens. Those two movies would be amazing. I could finally retire my DVDs.
@@Reggaebeatman yea there are releases of el cid in France, Australia, Germany but they’re based on the 30 year old restoration they did in the 90s. They used the same master for the dvd. Is a crying shame, it’s such a great movie and deserves better treatment. Sadly, it seems like Weinstein still owns it. I sure hope something comes by the anniversary in 2026. It sure would be a good candidate for a kino lorber title- maybe even criterion.

Barry Lyndon in 4K for the 50th anniversary is a must ... hopefully, 'Kubrick by Candlelight' will be included as an extra; the current Criterion Blu-ray, issued in 2017, is from a 4K master. As an aside, I am hopeful for an 'Eyes Wide Shut' 4K in late 2024 as that movie is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

PTA films in 4K would be spectacular!!! I feel Boogie Nights and There Will Be Blood would be the best looking in 4K out of the films Robert Elswit photographed for PTA, fantastic use of film stock and colours and lighting (in fact, Punch-Drunk Love is great in the colours department!!)
It wouldn't surprise me if Kino Lorber did "The Hustler", which is one of Newman's best films. "Hud" is one I've been wanting to see for years. Given that it's Paramount, it could (at the very least) get a Paramount Presents Blu-ray release.
Yes, 100% on the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! When I got my 4K player, that was one of the first titles I tried to track down, and was very disappointed that it hadn't been released yet. Fingers crossed 🤞 on that one!

Agree with all these great films. Hoping TMNT includes an extended cut with all the deleted scenes incorporated. One other im hoping for is William Wyler's Ben Hur. Deserves the same treatment as 2001 A Space Odyssey received.

It will be the 35th Anniversary for Edward Scissorhands and the 26th for Fight Club so it is the perfect time for both but Disney so who knows. Edward Scissorhands is in 4K on streaming so the scan must have been done.

The Book Of Eli. It’s one of the most underrated apocalypse movies of all time. It’s got Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman for crying out loud. It would be absolutely amazing on 4k. A dynamic atmos soundtrack would sound astonishing with all the overhead action and all the fighting and gunfire in general.
I would like Fantasia and Mary Poppins to come to 4K blu ray, but hopefully Sony gets the permission from Disney to release classic Disney movies. They should release Se7en and the original TMNT movie on 4K blu ray!
I am a little surprised that Dances with Wolves hasn't gotten a 4k release considering just how popular Yellowstone is and how Kevin Costner is the face of it. I bet we see that sooner rather than later.

Just to name a few on ky wishlist for 4K's . Plus Band of brothers , the pacific & masters of the air are all musts esp with atmos & vision

Three Days of the Condor was just released in 4K in 2024 from KL. Why hasn’t Memento been released on 4K. Most of Nolan’s other stuff is
